Good luck getting your service cancelled
If you are under contract with this company and wish to ever cancel their service make sure to send a picture of a written statement saying you wish to cancel WAAAAYYYYYY in advance of you contract end date. They say 60 days in advance. I sent mine 50 days in advance (yes, I know that isn't 60 days). I figured, okay I was a bit late, I'll have to pay for an extra month. No big deal. BUT, NOOOO. My contract auto extended another 18 months. Yes, that's right, 18 months! I called after paying 2 extra months and that's when I found out. No messages, emails, calls, etc. There was no help from them other than to pay out my "New" extended contract with a 10% discount. Asked to speak to their manager, they said they were the manager. Asked if there was anyone above them I could speak to. Apparently there isn't anyone there above a manager...Really!?!

So, my experience and advice. Be really careful what you just sign as they go as fast as possible over your contract. If cancelling, cancel WWWAAAAAYYYY in advance. They say mine is to cancel in Feb 2023 now due to the paper I sent 50 days vice 60 in advance.

Mrs***, I am sorry to hear that your service with NorthStar has been less than satisfactory up to this point We want to make sure that each customer has a fully operational system that is able to protect your home and family I was able to review your account in regards to the problems that you mentioned that you were havingI am showing that currently an automated door lock that is attached to your system is not workingI am showing that we need to send a technician out to the home to completely replace the unit instead of trying to repair that unit which will responsive the issue that you are having I am showing that the alarm system its self is fully operational and you are able to arm and disarm the system as designedIf you would like to schedule a time for the technician to visit your home you can do so by contacting our customer care department at ###-###-#### and they will be able to assist you with thatIf you have any other questions or concerns regarding this account please feel free to let me know and I would be happy to further assist youBest regards, -- Aaron

We were supposed to receive reimbursement for $deductibleNorthstar said they sent it out on Wed March Its now April 1st and we have yet to receive it in the mailWe will continue to wait until further noticeRegarding cameras they were to install, we scheduled an apt for March My husband took the day offThey didn't show upMy husband called the office just to be told that they did not have the equipment on hand and wouldn't until today Apr Thanks, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution of having my contract reduced by a year to expire August and having a technician sent out to my house at no cost to me to replace faulty sensors and replace my old keypad with a new keypad, only because I do not have any more time to waste on this subject I have been dealing with this for months But Northstar Alarm knows that during that over minute phone call there was never one mention of a "month agreement" not onceThis is a continuing deceptive business practice and I hope they will start training their employees to be more transparent and forthright Hopefully we will not have any further problems arise during the next 1/years Sincerely, [redacted]
