Northwood Asset Management Group Reviews (%countItem)

The company is calling friends of mine and stating that I used them as a reference in case I was contactable. After they called my friend the first time, I returned the call and left a message for a Ms. Katy, to find out her name is Katy K and is with Northwood Asset Management. I clearly articulated that I want all calls to anyone but myself to cease and desist, this was on 12/17/19. I also said on my message to Ms Katy that I wanted all other phone numbers but my own to be removed from my file. While I was leaving a message I asked for all communication about their calls to friends to be put in writing as I have no idea who they are and what the call is conc***ing.
Today, 12/18/19, Ms. Katy called my friend again and said they are calling for me and that again her name was left as a contact to get ahold of if they can not reach me. The message also told her they need a return phone call today. This has been happening when they are threatening and harassing other people. I asked Ms. Katy to discontinue the harassment and calling people I know at work.
Today, I sent an email to this email address on the Northwood Asset Management website ( [email protected]), it will be interesting if they respond and stop calling.

After reviewing the account history and phone calls we have found that our representative followed all company policies and procedures. We have closed the account as a cease and desist and Northwood Asset Management Group will no longer be in contact with Ms.. Thank you, Ashley B Northwood Asset Management Group

Patrick S from this company is contacting family members I haven't spoken to in 30 plus years. These family members contacted where never put down by me for a person of contact or reference. I contacted they company themselves as I never gave any company these family members names nor numbers.
what the I sent the company:
I want Patrick S to quit contacting my job and family members I haven't seen in 30 years in other states. I understand I may or may not owe a debt but my family members have nothing to do with my financial issues. If you contact my job or ANY family members again I will file a complaint with the Revdex.com. That is a form of harassment as those contacted family members have never been put down as a point of contact or reference by me or with my approval to contact.

This business is repeated calling my work number (several times a day), when I can not receive personal calls at work

Northwood Asset Management Group Response • Oct 29, 2019

After reviewing the account history and phone calls we have found that our representative followed all company policies and procedures. No more than one phone call was placed to Ms. Seftar’s work number per day. On 10/25/2019 Ms. Seftar informed our representative that she was not allowed to receive personal calls at work and the phone number was then removed from the account

This company came out harassing me.. even calling my friends and co workers “to tell Ms *** that there’s a legal paper waiting for her, from Marshall D”
I don’t know this company nor I’ve dealt with them before! They just came suddenly that I owed them. Loan Me emailed me that they sold my account for $12,000.. After, almost 4 years the principal of a $10,000 loan ballooned to this amount. I paid loyally for 23 months, the amount of $844. Then they modified my monthly payment for $650, which I paid for more than year and receded to $450.. till early 2019, when my health was deteriorating and planned to leave my work. So many calls I made to begged , asking too where my payments were going.. why the principal have not been reduced, begging to reduce my principal as I pay.. with no response, only reducing the interests. I was surprised when this Norwood company came with an email, then phone calls.. so stern, even not accepting that I am sick. Then, I realized how rude they were when my friends started to worried about their phone calls.

I emailed to them telling that this loan originated 4 years ago with the computation of my payments, I told them, I can spared only $100 to $120 per month if they want payments because I retired and moved to Las Vegas. I even reminded them that this loan originated from Los Angeles, so I’m protected against harassments of calling other people without my permission.. I hope you can help me to get a fair deal with this company or advice me how to handle them.. My retirement wasn’t plan , me and my husband have medical issues that’s why we decided to rest at this time. Please help me to negotiate with them peacefully without their arrogant calls, harassing collection because they’re triggers us to have heart attacks with their style.. or, give me some advice where to go if they won’t negotiate.

I’m looking forward to hear from you.
Ms.

After reviewing the account history and phone calls we have found that our representative followed all company policies and procedures. We have marked the account cease and desist and Northwood Asset Management Group will have no further contact with the consumer.

This company has called my work, my cell phone and my son's cell phone and left information via voicemail. This is a violation of my privacy and I do not give them permission to call my work or any other friends or family members. I have never received any written documentation regarding any collections and am unsure if it is even legitimate or a scam

This company is a collection agency, so we understand we need to pay them. They call both my husband, his work and me about 5 times a day. While trying to get my address updated so we could have the right documents to get a payment plan in order Alex who was handling the account told my husband he can not do that. I called and Alex started taking my information to change the address then in the middle of it he put me on hold for 15 minutes so I hung up on him. Then he calls me from a number I have never seen before I just so happen to pick it up and he tells me he put me on hold because he had other calls come through, very unprofessional. He changes my address, hopefully, I request he sends everything he has sent before and he said he would send just a billing statement and I said no I want all the paperwork. His suggestion was to call the place that sold the bill to him to verify it is the right company and not fraud. I told him no I want all the paperwork that you have been sending to the wrong address. He’s also been calling my husbands work over and over and work has threatened to let him go because of it. He has three numbers on file so I give him the two that are good to call because I don’t know my husbands work number off the top of my head. Alex then says so you want me to guess which number to pull? I told him that I gave him the two good numbers out of the three. His response to that was well I’m not calling you guys anymore I’m signing off on this. So I said will you remove the number or tell them so they don’t call and he said removed. This company is very unprofessional and when you tell them you need to discuss what we can afford with my spouse every other sentence is what can you pay today even though I just told them I needed to talk to my husband about it.

I have asked this company via Michael J to not contract my mother anymore & that has continued to happen. They have called her so much that she has had to block a number they have called from which is ***. That is not an actual local number it is a number they are calling from that take you to the actual number I have for Mr. J at Northwood ***7. BUT today is crossing the line. I received a text message from my father who I have never ever ever put down as a reference on ANYTHING! It also crosses a line because I haven’t spoken to my father in nearly 8 years! So from him to be getting a number and to be given my account/case number with Northwood is something that I will not stand for! They continue to call my phone while I am at work I received 5 phone calls today from the 865 number & 4 voicemails were left. I also received 5 phone calls to my work number at my office today as well. They have been harassing my phone and now they were able to get a phone number to my father and call him.

I had a message left for me at work and then stated getting calls from my family with the same message stating I needed to call them about a revenue reporting issue. I called and was told it was about a debt that has been turned over to them, I did inform them to stop calling my work and family and offered to give my cell phone, she said the calls would stop if I settled the debt, I asked to take care of it when I was not at work since I had stepped away from desk due to all the calls and messages thinking there was an emergency. She told me that's not how it works and that since I made contact if the call was disconnected or I couldn't not make a $700 payment right then, she would immediately call my HR department and that I could not call back during off work hours. She would not let me handle the matter after work and when I was off my employers clock. She also stated she was looking to find all the false information I had provided, said I was not upfront about my bankruptcy which I always am, it's public record and that was the purpose of reaching my employer's HR department to find more false information . I was told If I didn't settle with her it was going to a network of attorney's.

Well I received a call from this company about a debt that I am supposed to owe. They called my cell phone one day about 15 times in a row. Then then proceeded to call my former employer looking for me. When I contacted them, they didn't have the right person. My name was correct but my birth date and social security number were wrong. I told the rep they have the wrong person and to stop call me and my former place of employment. They continue to call my former place of employment even though I told them to stop/. I have never gotten any letters at my address about this suppose debt. T

I got a phone call from someone by the name of nicole and she left me a message that it was urgent and they have a complaint for me.
I called back and she was very rude never gave me her info nor provided me with any info about the suppose complaint against me and kept asking me for my social security number which I will not give to her unless she provides me with info about this complaint
She threaten to take action against me and again kept asking me for my social security number

Received a call From a "SMITH" quite Rude ! when told he did not have the correct person proceeded to insist I was who he was looking for, I handed phone to my wife and she explained that it was our son he was looking for and to send information via mail. he did not identify what it was about who he was representing. Smith would not listen talked over me and my wife, very rude. Not sure if this is a scam or but it sure is looks that way
. I took phone back from my wife and he hung up. a minute later my wife's phone rang and it was him again I took phone and told him to not contact either of us again. he stated I was whom he was looking for I proceeded to tell him once again to stop harassing us and I was going to refer to my attorney at that point he hung up again.

As of late, I have been contacted, or should I say "harassed" by Mr. S of Northwood AMG, or at least this is how he identifies himself. Calls started just coming to me at home and on my mobile. After a few days, he began contacting my employer and made it all the way to my bosses office. She directed him to call me at home on my off-work time. He continues to call her today. He has reached out to my ex-husband in another state and my elderly mother. I did call back once, but got someone other than Mr. S, who quite rudely told me that my social security number has been linked to a debt of some sort, but would not elaborate. I said I was unaware of any debt, but would be happy to pay it if it was legitimate and if they supplied documentation via the us mail system. They want payment immediately and if not, I would be sorry. I was then hung up on. He calls daily and his messages become more caustic and threatening, to the extreme that they will send someone to my home to get me! My employer is now so disgusted that they told me get this settled or my job may be in jeopardy! This is harassment and it needs to STOP!!!!!!!!

This business is using spoof numbers. Numbers that are local but leaves a message regarding a personal complain has been filed about my personal information. I have not received any information in writing as to what these calls are about. The messages left gives me a different deadline and file number everytime I am called. I get at least three calls a day, where only one message is left. This is harassment! I have everything saved and documented. They are now harassing family members and this needs to stop.

Northwood Asset Management Group Response • Mar 27, 2019

At no time does our company use spoof numbers when contacting any consumer. Additionally, no more than one call is placed per day and at no time is there personal information provided.

Northwood Asset Management Group Response • Jan 25, 2019

After carefully reviewing all of the information provided, we can not find any evidence that the party listed was contacted by our office.

Starting on January 7th, I started to receive phone calls from Northwood (NAM) through a local Camden NJ number. I don't know anyone from Camden, therefor I don't take the calls. The representative left a VM that said they had my name and social security number and that there was an issue. Never stated that it was an attempt to collect a debt,When I failed to answer they started d toncontact my family, whom I have no relation with and my friends....all have told me the voicemails left are very scary. On Tuesday the 8th they called my spouse and become very belligerent with her and nasty, condescending and argumentative. My wife informed them that I am not working at this time and they still wanted her to set up payments on my debit card and checking account of which she is not even listed or authorized!!! Their techniques and approach is one that is unprofessional and illegal. My wife was in agreement with attempting to set up a payment and Ms. Biggs began to accuse her of not wanting to set up a payment plan. We asked several times to speak with a supervisor and were continually passed to a coworker.

This agency is calling at work with a recording listing personal information.

We will be carefully reviewing all calls. As per company policy, all phone numbers other than that of the consumer have been removed. Additionally, we have placed a cease and desist on any further contact with consumer.

I received a phone call today about a account they said I opened in August of 2017. When I first called I was disconnected several times. I finally was able to get through and the representative told me he already spoke to me (he did not) it was my MOTHER he spoke with (not sure how he got her cell phone number) he told her I had an hour to return the call or he was filing fraud charges on me and gave 2 payment options. When I called because she called me in a panic he proceeded asked me to verify my name and last 4 of social security. When I asked if he could verify the company information before I verify my social he yelled at me and told me I was wasting his time and hung up.
I called back and spoke with another gentleman named Alex W. He did verify their company information for me and verified me using only my name, birth date and address. I asked him to please send me paperwork regarding my "loan" I took out because I have no recollection of it. Although he was very kind he was unable to supply me the information I needed. He did give me a number to call but said they (the number he supplied) were a third party to who actually has my loan. Everything I read states this place is a SCAM. I would like verification they are a true company and understand how they can discuss my "account" with another person who's phone number they clearly looked up somehow. I would be happy to resolve this account if it is legit and I plan on doing my research on both the account I supposedly owe and them before making any payments or payment arrangements.

This company continues to constantly harass my family members, my place of employment etc....no idea who they are but leave a case# and threaten me with this is the last message you will receive before legal action is taken.

Northwood Asset Management Group Response • Jan 17, 2019

Our response is as follows. We will be carefully reviewed all calls. There was at no time any threats of legal action. As per company policy, all phone numbers other than that of the consumer have been removed.

First they are very rude and they are not willing to help you. They call constantly and I did set up payment arrangements and none of my payments have gone to my account. I have not received any correspondence in regards to my account.

Northwood Asset Management Group Response • Jan 18, 2019

Our response is as follows. As per company policy, all phone numbers other than that of the consumer have been removed. Additionally, we have placed a cease and desist on any further contact with consumer. All payments authorized by the consumer have been credited to her account and proof of payment will be forwarded to the consumers home address.

This company contacted my father in law, husband and place on employment and when I called them to find out was going on, they were belligerent and rude and refused to tell me what the complaint was about. They told me they had my personal information and would proceed with filings but refused to give me information. They continue to call me and my place of employment. They were upset because I wouldn't verify my personal information with a company that has several complaints against them all over the internet. They hung up on me repeatedly and said they wouldn't talk to me, yet, they continued to call various numbers for me. They call from different numbers all of the time and answer their business phone "hello" and not with the name of their company. They do not state that the call is from a debt collector attempting to collect a debt. I have filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General and have contacted a lawyer who confirmed that they have violated numerous laws in our state.
