OAC Collection Specialists Reviews (86)

Review: I never got a letter in the mail or received a phone call from OAC regarding the medical bill in the amount of $173.00. I have no knowledge of this account and I am very upset because OAC never validate a debt prior to reporting to the credit bureaus. Please immediately delete it from the credit bureaus.Desired Settlement: I would like OAC to proof that this collection company owns the debt/or has been assigned the debt, and a copy of a statement from the original creditor.

Good Afternoon,

Review: I received a bill from OAC that noted a total of $226.00 and paid promptly for my daughter's services once I knew it went to OAC (2/29). Having had zero correspondence form OAC prior to this bill, I was notified that I had a balance from two separate occasions. I had to request a copy of the bill because I had no prior knowledge. I did not receive a bill until March 3, which would indicate another month marker and another hit to my credit report. On the bill, one balance was $7.75 that had already accrued $1.50 interest. I cannot imagine how much damage a small balance like that has been doing to my credit rating. Again, I received no phone calls, no notification that I had these other balances.Desired Settlement: I would any credit reports to be withdrawn from these unknown balances and interest fees removed.

We have had 6 total accounts come to our office for the consumer in which 4 of them are paid in full. We received the 6th account on 1/18/16 at which time a validation letter was sent out to the consumers address. On 1/19/16 the consumer called and asked about the accounts we hold in our office and she said she would have to look into it further and then give us a call back. On 2/29/16 the consumer went online and paid the 6th account for $226. On 3/1/16 the consumer called and said she wants a statement of the remaining balances in our office at which time a statement was immediately sent out. To date we still have 2 accounts that still have balances on them. One was from 9/23/14 for $218.31 and the full balance is still due. The second is from 10/1/14 for $43.66. This account does have a 5% interest on it. There was a payment of $17.07 on 4/9/15 and another payment of $18.84 on 5/7/15 which leaves a balance of $$9.35. I hope this clears up any confussion there may have been.

Review: I was contacted by OAC for a $48 collection from the radiologist of [redacted] for a procedure. They had my address incorrect and the bills were never received, hence the non payment as I did not know that the bill exist. When we cleared up the matter, I paid over the phone with the promise that because their records were inaccurate and I had never received the bills, they would not report to the credit bureau. I have seen that they have reported it to the credit bureau thought his collection was no fault of my own..Desired Settlement: I would like them to take the collection off my credit report as a negative item as I paid them as soon as I was aware of the outstanding bill and because they gave me their word they wouldn't report it because the mistake was on their end.

Please be advised,

Review: on 9/10/2014- I checked my annual credit report and found that OAC filled a collection on my credit that I had no knowledge of, from [redacted], I never did any business with [redacted]. so I called to question the debt. after waiting on hold for several minutes a representative came on the phone and before I can resolve the issue the phone disconnected. I called back again, and after several hours of trying I finally reached someone who cold not explain to me why this was filed on my account. this is the only negative item on my credit and which I had no knowledge of. I asked them to provide me with the information of the original client and they refused, I asked them to dispute the charge and they refused, so I asked them what I can do to have this removed and they said it would have to me paid in full. so I told them I will not be paying $708 to them just because they feel that I owe them that money. I tried to reach out to [redacted] with the similar result, I left voice mails them them with no call backs. I never did any business with [redacted].Desired Settlement: I want this account deleted from my credit report.

We received Mr. [redacted]'s account 5-5-14. His validation notices was sent 5-5-14. We contacted Mr. [redacted] by phone and spoke with him on 6-2-14 at which time he indicated the charges were incurred due to an auto accident and that we should contact his attorney but stated he was driving and wasn't able to provide the numberr. During this conversation we did advise him that we don't accept letters of protection and suggested he pay the balance or make arrangements to protect his credit as the account was not yet reported but would be in August. We did tell him the charges were incurred at [redacted] and the charge is for the reading of the radiology services that were performed on 11-27-13.We never received any correspondence or phone call from his attorney. The next phone call was initiated by Mr. [redacted] on 9-10-14 who was upset account was reported to the credit bureaus and it was explained once again that we don't accept letters of protection and that we suggested he pay the balance or make arrangements back in June and reminded him that he said no. He has disputed the charge and we have flagged his account as disputed. The credit bureaus can take up to 30 days plus to reflect such change which is out of our control.

Review: I checked my credit report, and I noticed a bill on collection for $320 for Med1 02 Elite Imaging, so I called and they said it was a mistake, but they are affecting my credit score really bad, and they said it will take them 120 days to remove it, which is not fair at all, it's their mistake, not mine, why can't they take that off my credit score immediately? this is causing me a lot of trouble with my credit.Desired Settlement: I need that they remove that collection they put by mistake out of my credit report now, not in 120 days!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: I have requested PROPER validation of an alleged debt from OAC Collections. They claim that I owe an amount from WI Radiology Specialists. Any radiology that I have ever received is paid for in full by my insurance.

I know my Federal Credit Report Act rights and OAC has failed to properly verify this debt.

OAC has failed to provide: Proof that the collection company owns the debt/or has been assigned the debt.

They've failed to provide: A copy of a statement from the original creditor.

As well as failing to provide: Copy of the original signed loan agreement or credit card application.

They are listing this collection accounts on my credit bureau reports which is damaging my credit. Since they failed to properly verify the debt within 30 days, they must remove it immediately.

Also, I demand a cease and desist from all collections activities by this company and demand to only deal with the original creditor.Desired Settlement: Also, I demand a cease and desist from all collections activities by this company and demand to only deal with the original creditor.

REMOVE account from all 3 major credit report bureaus immediately. [redacted]

We received Mr. [redacted]'s account 06/04/13. Our 1st contact with Mr. [redacted] was on 06/19/13 at which time he stated that he wasn't going to pay that his insurance should. We told him to have his insurance contact us directly so we can get a claim submitted to them. His insurance co has never contacted us. On 09/30/13 we receive a letter from Mr. [redacted] indicating that he is disputing the charge and requested we send him validation and that we are to cease all phone contact. His account was marked disputed on 09/30/13 and was flagged for no phone calls. We sent him an itemized statement of the services he received and amount owed on 10/03/13. We have verified with our client that the balance is still outstanding.

Once an account is sent to collections our client directs all consumers to contact us directly. Should Mr. [redacted] have any documentation that states his account is paid in full and can send it us we would be more then happy to forward it to our client for further review.
