I tried since March 2014 to resolve a problem w/ Ocwen taking our taxes out Twice to put in the escrow acc't., which made them raise our payments, over $147 per month.. After writing their Ombudsman twice, calling them on the phone multiple times, writing letters, etc. etc. I finally wrote to the Attorney Generals' office in 3 states, and the MI Finacial Service Dept. in July-Aug. They in turn fwd. the letters to my State of MI Attorney General....then finally Ocwen acknowledged their mistake in Aug. (the mistake that they would not acknowledge from my letters or phone calls to them) I just now received the overpayment that they had taken for 4 months , but it took the letters from the Attorney General of my state to get it done !! I have now stopped the escrow and will pay my taxes and HO Ins. myself.... As I'm certain that it would happen again, and I certaily do not want that aggravation !! Ocwen took over our loan after GMAC filed bancrupcy., and we had no choice in the matter..

This company is horrible My loan was purchased by them and we have had nothing but problems with their yearly escrow analysis In we were told that we did not pay one month of escrow (which is interesting because I paid the payment every month) and they raised the monthly payment Guess what? When we asked them about it, they sent new escrow analysis statements that had a different month deleted, over and over this happened Now for the new one that just came out the exact thing happened Now my payment is to high to pay because it went up so much It is hard to explain how a company can continue doing this year after year and get away with it As I was reviewing all of my information I found that my homeowners insurance actually went down over $ I would stay away from this company at any cost

I sold my home in January of Ocwen held the mortgage which upon close of escrow was paid in fullA few weeks ago I applied for a new mortgage and learned that Ocwen had reported that my account was "settled for less than balance due" This is 100% falseThis information has blemished an otherwise perfect credit scoreI not only have never made a late payment I am also 100% debt free Because of this reckless or possibly deliberate error on behalf of Ocwen I am in limbo and unable to obtain a mortgageI contacted Ocwen by phone and explained the situation and the fact that this delay could be very costly if the current interest rate should increase before this matter is resolvedI provided all the required information and I was given a extension number to call if I had any questionsDue to the urgency of the matter I requested that I be kept informed about the progress by either phone or emailI have had no contact from Ocwen in almost a week despite telling them that I only had about a week before the mortgage company was going to reject my loan if the matter was not cleared upI have since made numerous calls to the number given with no answer and no resultsI have left numerous messages both via phone and email with negative contact of any typeI have demanded that they return my calls and I have demanded that a supervisor return my calls but no responseOcwen obviously does not care about customers either past or present as is evident by the number of complaints against themObviously this matter needs to be cleared as soon as possible but without Ocwen's cooperation it could take monthsI can see a mistake in spelling or a transposed number, we all make them but a sentence saying "settled for less than full balance" without supporting documents is a completely different matter

I own several homes and two of my loans are with Ocwen Every year Ocwen has consistently make errors with my impound account ranging from incorrect calculations to paying hazard insurance policies on real property that has nothing to do with this loan or the propertyYes you read that correctly they paid a hazard insurance policy for a home "real property that is not the property secured by the loan and paid hazard insurance policies on a home secured by the lan and a home that has nothing to do with the loan and then they told me I need to get my money back from the insurance companyTo add to this trying to explain this to folks in India was as productive as talking to an inanimate objectSo when anyone says they are happy with the service they are just the lucky percentHow do I know this? Ocwen services more than one loan for me and this happens on all accounts and I have other mortgage services for other properties and this stuff never happens

My experience with Ocwen is negativeAs a struggling borrower trying to retain my home, Ocwen accesses excessive other fees and charges on my accountcertified mailers and etcWhen I go to the post office and send a certified mail to my tenants because they are behind on their rentI have to pay for the certified mailing feewhen I went to court one day added that fee in with the past due fees the judge waived those chargesI was told that, that was my preference to do certified mailso I feel like the same for Ocwen, it is the company's preference to use certified mail and I should not have to pay for it

please, all of these complaints, is it getting us anywhere I am so fed up with Ocwen
I have time and time again went through trying to do a modification and I get the same old stuff, "we didn't get your paperwork, we need more documents" time would go by and then they would say we would have to file new mod They are so rude and you never ever get to speak with a person in the United States They add so many different charges to your loan it is rediculous One time when I filed it came back as You Don't Make Enough, remind you this is after I send and send paperwork because they can never seem to find it Another time " You make Too Much" really? I hate dealing with them What or if anything can we do about this company being a scam to so many people? Suggestions please

If you get transferred to this loan company, do whatever you can to get away from them
Their customer service number does not work (has not worked for over a month)If you call their headquarters it is the same issueThe phone does not ring
In addition, they have repeatedly asked for tax information and we have sent it to themThey are so incompetent that they merely keep asking for itWe have sent this to them times already
My response now will be to send a registered letter (return receipt) and also to finance with another companyOcwen is horrible

As an insurance agent, we deal with many mortgage companies on a regular basisI have never dealt with such a poorly run company as OcwenSince 3/we have sent them no less that bills for just one customer and STILL have not recieved the customers paymentThey mailed the original check to an incorrect address, received the check back & never contacted the insured or us to find out what the correct information was, so the original policy cancelled & had to be rewritten and they still didn't send in a checkThen I FAXED them the original bills along with a declarations page & spoke with them twice about getting the correct payment, nothingNow our customers policy has cancelled, again, and they REFUSED to overnight a check even though they were informed repeatedly that we need to have the check immediately and that the cancellation was entirely their faultIn a time where customer service is paramount, Ocwen fails miserably

The worst lender everI have been trying to make principal pay downs for week and they will not take themThey apply the amount to future payments instead of principalTry to get them to chang things-good luck

Ocwen is awfulThey call you when payment aren't lateThey don't respond to escrow questions and when I refinanced they provide misinformation about escrow balances and reimbursementsI have had to continually contact and check with the county and school tax offices to get accurate information

I have been trying to get a loan modification from Ocwen for the last month The last few times they have been requesting for additional documentation This time they stated that my P&L form was post-dated The agency said that it was dated until February; however, it is Febrauary now I don't see how that is post dated I'm speaking to the Relationship manager If I get the run around again, I will report these guys

This company is a complete joke! Stay away! Trying to eliminate our PMI we have more than enough equity to do so but continually give me the run aroundGoing on six months now of absolutely nothing! Refer you to an Indian call center where you can barely understand them and they read off of prewritten responsesAfter you get pass them, if you are lucky, you get the run aroundWas told we were denied due to our appraisal which after arguing for minutes came to the conclusion there was never an appraisal ordered, and we were never given a list of approved appraisersSo then the brilliant employees refer you to their investigation department to see why it never happenedThen you will get a letter in the mail saying you were denied due to the appraisal that WAS NEVER ORDERED! Then you the lucky consumer who pays your mortgage on time every month gets to start all over in India AGAIN! I can't get angry anymore because its hopelessIt is a crooked deceiving company! Beware!

These people are ss!! Thank God I refinanced with *** but Ocwen never wanted to re-modfy our original loanKept jerking us around about not receiving paperwork, etcTHE WORST PIECES OF *** IN THE LOAN SERVICING COMMUNITY! There;s a reason *** is rated the best in customer service...what a difference!

Ocwen is my mortgage servicerI asked for help because I was falling behind in my mortgage I contacted Ocwen prior to falling behind I was told to do a modification I submitted modification packages for HAMP and in house modification I was denied both times I found out recently from HAMP that a HAMP can be only done once Since I modified my loan in via HAMP, I wouldn't be able to again, however I was advised to contact Ocwen for in house help Well I contacted Ocwen, and they flat out stated that there was nothing they could do to help me, but each time I called they insisted to apply for a modification and not to worryI was have been told that the owner/investor of my loan stated that I could modify only one time ever, well when I called the number they provided, the gentleman stated that Ocwen has always given this excuess because they just don't want to modify the loan and they don't want to do the modification, because maybe it would be too much work for them He stated that Ocwen has been getting away with this for so long However he recommended that I complain to my attorney general office and Revdex.com After going on line, I started reading much negative reviews about Ocwen I know that everything that is online is not always true, but most of the negative comments about Ocwen hit close to home in my situation The customer service is poor, I call to set appointments to speak to my relationship manager and when he doesn't call if call to find the appointment was never set There is never a direct number to anyone to leave a message, though whoever answers the phone does not have experience to help Since I was told that the owner/investor stated I couldn't modify, and the owner/investor says Ocwen is not fair, I have reason to believe that Ocwen is not loyal or honest to their customers I have never been so stressed out or afraid that my home would be sold without me knowing because they have put me through so much that I cant trust them knowing that me and my two kids could be homeless since we are so behind and Ocwen does not take partial payments I have read that they have been sued before for others that lost their homes, I don't want to be next I just want them to work with me to modify so I can move on with my life and not feel afraid everyday

My mother has been dealing with this company for almost years to get her loan modified and or
refinanced She has since ceased communication with this company since they don't acknowledge that she has a loan there They send a statement every month--but we have never talked with the same representative even though they make an "appointment"
They have lost paperwork so many times--if you email--scan--or fax they can't find it!
We even hired a lawyer and could not get anywhere with this company
I don't know how this company stays in business!!!

Our loan was sold to Ocwen in and right away we were concernedAll the communications from them started with "This is an attempt to collect a debt"We have NEVER missed a mortgage payment and were nearing a low balance, so we paid off the home loan rather than receive materials from them each month that read like a dunning noticeRather than send a booklet of payment coupons, they insisted on sending them monthly and did not offer the possibility of online paymentsSometimes the coupon for the mortgage arrived very late and it was difficult to get the payment to them on time, but we didIn October we paid off our mortgage, and after much difficult I was finally able to talk to a human at Ocwen and learned that indeed they received the payment and the loan was paid offIt was difficult to get to a human when calling them as the menu options sometimes took me in circlesThey website was also unfriendly I asked about the deed and they told me to call my local government and get itLocal government allowed me to download papers that said the deed was ours, but it is not a single page like I expectedYesterday (Aug 2014) we received in the mail and release of lien statement from Ocwen indicating that they had just release the lien on our propertymonths after we paid them! This business acts like a predatory business and I'm wondering if they bought a lot of bad loans and then tried to foreclose on as many as possibleNow I'm concerned what they may have done to our credit ratingI will be checking and I will hire a lawyer if necessary!! Ocwen is a consumer unfriendly company!!

They are terribleAlways threatening to take your home make you carry the highest homeowners.and adjust you escrow and interest rates several times a yearThey try to for close constantly no matter what if your a day late they charged fees for photos even if they supposedly just did it week beforeEndless fees and late fees make so you can never get ahead .I hate this company it's like borrowing from a loan shark company

I recently sold my house end of May and turned in all notifications to all parties neededDespite being clear on the sale, Ocwen still charged us our Mortgage that we were out of plus a few hundred dollars more in mysterious feesOver the last weeks, I've spoken almost weekly to a new customer care representative telling me different storiesAfter the first week, we finally confirmed we would be refunded the overdrawn money after they reviewed the final home closing detailsSome representatives told me exact dates I would get a check, others told me it was being processed again or that they had to confirm my addressI was basically getting told things they thought I wanted to hear and then not sending the reimbursement check of over $2,outIt's been weeks since they made this unrightful withdrawal from my account and I'm still being told the money is comingThey won't let me speak to a manager and they won't put a rush the orderThis is becoming quite criminal

This business is horrible! They screw up your account and try to over charge you and do not fix the problemInstead of saying let me look into this they just say no and ask if there is anything elseEvery time you talk to a new person they believe they get another week to look into it because they are a new personI have been calling them for a month and a half to resolve my issue without anything changing! If this company is not accredited Why was my mortgage transferred to them! It is one thing after another and nothing gets fixed and that is the way they like it!

This is absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with I'm not sure how they stay in business Our mortgage was sold to them so we have had no choice but to stay with them
