This company has the Worst customer service ever. I received a letter stating I had a $58. escrow shortage. I called and asked if I could pay it over the phone. They said I had to mail it and to make sure I used their special form. I stated that I never sent checks that I paid it online and wanted to pay it over the phone. She said I could, but their would be a charge and I would have to send something by mail stating that it was intended for escrow shortage. I have had this loan for about 15 years and I have NEVER been late, and I pay more that the regular payment everytime and I cant even pay on the escrow shortage in a current fashion. They need to get out of the stone age. Why are they still in business after all the lawsuits and issues they have had.

They bought our low risk 30 year loan and ever since its been a nightmare. No one at customer service helps. They paid out taxes even though we have no escrow & we paid through the county. They want the money from us & raised my mortgage to cover their loss. The county however does not see their payment.

My mortgage was also sold to Ocwen when GMAC went bankrupt, I have been fighting them for almost 2 years because they continued to charge me late fees when my payment wasn't even late, when I would call them I only got the run around from a representative that can't even speak English clearly, I know that I have over payed by hundreds of dollars and don't have a clue what to do to now. At this point, trying to keep up with paying them and all my others bills has put me behind and my credit rating has dropped considerably...These people are horrible and a nightmare to try to deal with.

This company acquired my loan after the company I was mortgaged with went bankrupt this loan has never been past due then with out warning the stopped taking payment we called they stated our address which includes ave did not have ave the bills they send did have it but they continually stated they did not have that this went on for a month and we managed to pay that payment on time any way then they said they had decided to add the correction and we could make our payments, so we made the payment on the 28th of that month using the pay one payment by check from the bank they took it then decided they liked that and the next one for the next month is due and also took that I called and they stated they would not return it, it was due the following month and they would keep it (this according to 3 lawyers, the Police, the federal mortgage protection ,the state attorney generals for that state and this state is legal for them to take all they want anytime they want I had given them permission by allowing one payment and they knew my bank account number, we closed that ) they are still being investigated by [redacted] of Texas I doubt if he will do anything since they are legal to remove all they want from my bank should they find out our account number (changed} now we pay by cashiers check the new trick started today state they have not received that and now our payments on a fixed rate will increase our escrow will increase and we owe a late charge I am sure with in a couple of days they will invent some more they can add, They all will try ever thing they can to stop you from refying at any other company by denying them credit or loan information to complete any loans, They use a 3rd party which uses there same name it's called an accelerator program which allows you to make the same payments but allows you to payoff in half the time good? yep now the bottom line to qualify you must pay direct from your bank hint look up they get your account information then when they are ready take all they can get and the fun begins straight to foreclosure, I know it sounds hard to belive that they can do that but they can and they do

Ocwen is THE worst mortgage company I've EVER had to deal with in the 40 years I've had home loans. I just got a letter that they're increasing my monthly payment from $1349 to $2714. There's NO way I can pay that much. I've been working 10 hour days at work so haven't been able to call them, but from the looks of other reviews, they probably won't help anyway. The other thing is that I get a call from an Ocwen employee in India EVERY... SINGLE... DAY..., including weekends. That's completely ridiculous. I have them blocked so I never answer anymore, but they still call and leave messages. So irritating. I hope that maybe this itic increase in my loan payment will finally spur me on to refinance. If you're considering Ocwen, PLEASE forget it. You will be very disappointed.

I was very surprised when I read all the nagative reviews that people were giving OCWEN because for years I was complaining about them. THEY ARE THE MOST EVIL MORTGAGE COMPANY IN AMERICA. I had such a bad experience with their customer service in Mumbai. The people are rude and do not understand english very well. Once someone told me "[redacted] YOU" on the telephone and I called to complain. To date noone ever called me back.
I am thankful that I have less than a year to pay them off and I am DONE with them. That is one company that shouldn't be in business they are robbing their customers to the MAX. THE DAY they are out of business it would be the best day in AMERICA.

THE most corrupt entity on the planet !
So hoping the new administration will finally put these crooks in jail !
If you are dealing with them , hire a lawyer that knows what they are doing !
Do NOT fall for a false loan mod or any other relief they may offer you ! They want your home and will do anything , I mean anything to get it ! They will lie , cheat and steal their way to your home !
Why they are still in business just proves the level of corruption in our government .

These guys are so pathetic I almost feel sorry for them. They took over my GMAC loan and messed it up from the first month. After 6 months I gave up and refinanced for the sole purpose of getting away from them. They continued to send me statements showing a zero balance - no big deal. But this month they send me a statement showing I owe them $100 on a $0 balance. What?

They are nuts! Their computer system must be an abacus,

Anyway, if you have a choice - RUN AWAY. They are like an insane ex-girlfriend that won't go away. You will wish (as I do) that I had never met them.

My home flooded on August 14, 2016. I have followed all of the processes YOU, the mortgage company required. I am currently displaced from my home and have ordered an inspection on 12/13/16 and have called the mortgage company daily and CANNOT get anyone to help me. As of today, the inspection still has not been scheduled, I cannot get anyone to call me back after calling several times each day, my contractor cannot get paid, and once the inspection finally gets done it will take 15 days to release the funds. My contractor is threatening to leave then I will be starting all over.
YOU stated that an inspection would only take 5 days and it has been way over that window. The most frustrating part is not being able to talk to anyone who has any information. All I get is "sorry that is all the information I have".
This is the poorest customer service I have ever experienced and I work as a General Manager of a company with 215 employees who we provide excellent customer service because WE understand that without our customers we would not be in business.
If I do not receive an inspection by next week, you will force me to get an attorney and file a formal complaint with National Flood and FEMA on how you are handling us and their money.

This company should be closed immediately!! My husband and I have a VA loan that was transferred to this horrible company. We had a payment that we had not made in December 2012 due to my husband attempting suicide because of PTSD. Ocwen took the loan over knowing this. They have now filed paperwork to foreclose on us and say we owe over $2000 in payments. They state on legal documents that we have not made a mortgage payment since March of 2015 though I have the cleared checks. Also, even though I make my payment every month, they send out some jerk to put a note on my door telling me to call them and charge me $25 to do this. Also, they have almost $400 of my money that I have sent extra with payments that they will not apply to my mortgage. This is not a mortgage company, it is a scam. They are criminals and the federal government needs to do more to protect homeowners from Ocwen. I think their F rating is way to high!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your loan is bought from OCWEN you should refinance as soon as possible.

I mailed a mortgage payment on the first of the month, it took OCWEN 3 weeks to process the payment and are now charging me a late charge. All three other bills I mailed on the same day cleared withing 7-10 days. OCWEN had the check but did not post it to my account in a timely manner and is charging me for their inability to post to my account on time. Now I am being hit with a late fee. I will be looking to refinance as soon as possible. This is ridiculous and also reflects on my credit score.

Ocwen holds my mortgage, and I pay on time every month. I received a letter from Ocwen advising me that hazard insurance was required to be held on my property, and the letter informed me that my hazard insurance was expired. Knowing this to be untrue, I contacted my HOA to confirm that the master insurance policy was indeed up to date. I also hold up to date individual insurance on my property. The letter noted that because my policy was expired, they would be charging me $2000. When I called the number, it was obvious that the customer service representative was unaware who held my policy--both the master policy and the individual unit policy. I provided her with my relevant details.

This is a highly questionable business practice. Ocwen obviously did not know who held the policies, and therefore would be unaware of whether or not they were expired. To inform me that I will be required to pay $2000 to hold insurance on the property is a seriously questionable business practice. While I am required to hold insurance on the property, Ocwen could have easily requested proof of insurance--but instead they opted to send a threatening letter demanding $2000.

I have never dealt with a company with such unorganized customer service. They have lost paper work submitted for modification.. I have never spoke to the same relationship manager in the 7 appointments.. my home owner bill of right have been violated and they are draining my savings with months of repeated paperwork.

Wow, the worse. First of all, they need to hire people who speaks English. This company is awful. I was told yesterday that I would never ever receive a modification. Why when the government has put in place assistance that these lenders and/or servicers are suppose to help struggling homeowners. Unprofessional and rude. Please replace these people with some English speaking customer service representatives. Sad sad sad!!!!!!

By far,one of the sleaziest bunch of people I've ever dealt with... My house was made 100% mine in my divorce at which time I legally changed my name. Sent all documents 4 times since, they refuse to recognize me as the ownerand refused to recognize my [redacted] insurance, instead forcing me to pay for their bogus insurance which I wouldn'I have a clue about for filing a claim...no info provided. I've had bogus calls threatening me with deportation...family been here since the1600's.but sure, my married last name was of Chinese origin.

I also have the unfortunate nightmare of having to deal with Ocwen when GMAC sold my mortgage to them. Each month I would send my payment in with additional funds noted on my so called coupon indicating the excess be applied to my escrow so I would not receive a bill at the end of the year due to a shortage. I always did this with GMAC. However every month my statement reflected those funds were applied to my principle and not the escrow. Despite repeated hour or longer monthly phone calls to OCWEN this still continues month after month. I was originally told it would be corrected and then when I had to call the next month I was told that I would need to send in separate payments even though the coupon allowed me the option to do so. When I called the next month I was told that I could not apply any additional funds to my escrow and any additional funds will continue to go towards the principle. Each month it changes and I no longer waste my time. God help anyone who has water or fire damage covered by your homeowners insurance. Ocwen requires that all the money from the claim has to go to them and they release it to you as they see fit. They hold your money hostage which in turns delays the repairs from getting done. They give you the so called option to have the funds overnighted for an additional one time fee but don't fall for that either. I had water damage this year in excess of $50,000.00 and paid for that option, only to have to beg, plead and threaten for my money to pay my contractor. Lost one in the interim due to their negligence and incompetence and had to start all over. I never received any of my installments when requested, in fact they play the its in the mail game, or they sent it to the wrong address or they tell you that they closed their office in Ohio and now the Florida office is "trying to catch up." I waited for months before I saw checks and then months in between hearing the same lame excuses. Even supervisors made empty promises. It wasn't bad enough to go through the loss in my home due to water damage but to be mentally and emotionally abused by this company is inhumane. Needless to say it was about six months of agony dealing with them throughout the repair process. And good luck trying to get a representative who speaks clear English. They don't exist at OCWEN. I spent more time on the phone every week for hour upon hour begging for my money I almost had a nervous breakdown. They made my life a living hell and as soon as I can refinance I will be running to the new loan provider. Shame on you OCWEN!

Terrible, Would process a discharge after early payoff. Didn't keep a record on file of my account. Shows no payment history.

My account was sold to them 10 years ago... I have never been late until this last January... I have received 4-7 calls a DAY... a DAY.... the foriegn man on the other line, took my information down when I told him I didn't want to recieve any more phones calls... now they just called again, I am not even a full month behind, and did you know if you make a partial payment that it doesn't credit your account until you are paid in full. Horrible, Horrible Horrible.. Oh and the mail, certified letters stating that I was in default, I was one month late, another letter regarding my new foreclosure...I AM NOT FORECLOSING... Horrible company not even based in the US.

We are an insurane agency and have been trying for 3 weeks to obtain payment on a client's homeowner policy that they had paid with no problem in the past! The issue is still not resolved!
