explain that OnlineCityTickets.com is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets--instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellersThis fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: "We are a resale marketplacePrices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue." It is difficult to understand Ms***s' belief that she was purchasing tickets directly from San Diego Civic Theatre as the above disclaimer and our branding clearly show that we are not affiliated with any venue or other ticket marketplace
When Ms*** selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, she was directed to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the service fee per ticket, delivery fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded textMs*** was then directed to review our terms and conditions--visible in a text box below this order total--and presented with the bolded message "All sales are final." At this point, she was also presented with the message "I agree to the sales terms and conditionsI have reviewed the Order Summary above," and a check box that she/he needed to click to continue with checkoutBelow this check-box, another message was displayed that, in Ms***'s case, read: "By clicking 'Place Order', your credit card will be charged $500.95, and on her second order $253.95, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." This notice was followed by a button labeled "Place Order." When Ms*** clicked this button, she signified her acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed both of her orders(A sample screenshot of the checkout page is included in a PDF attachment.)
Our sales policies, including our "all sales are final" policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process--from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message "All sales are finalAll prices are listed in US Dollars (USD)." Additionally, all sellers on our site are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, which means we are unable to cancel orders or offer refundsMs*** was made aware of this fact, and made an educated, conscious decision to purchase tickets from our siteMs*** has since disputed with her bankWe want to resolve this with her and will provide our offered resolution but we cannot do so unless that bank dispute is closed This is to ensure that Ms*** receives a definitive resolution via one avenue rather than through both her bank and Online City Tickets

As we have previously indicated, our website clearly states, "We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venueTicket prices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by Infinite Energy Arena." This fact is reiterated on every page throughout the checkout processPrior to placing their order, our customer selected a check box signifying their agreement alongside the following disclosure in bold text, "I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed aboveI understand that I am not purchasing directly from the venue box office and that tickets may be above face value." This website ***I some how got redirected here while viewing pre-sale tickets on the venues websiteNot realizing I had been redirected I decided to continue with the purchase to see final pricing and somehow the order was placedI chatted, emailed, and called with no refunding availableI have read of many similar incidents happening like my own and I would not recommend ANYONE to use this site

I am rejecting this response because: As a customer, based once the extreme increase in price was revealed I immediately (less than seconds) concatced the company and spoke with levels of supervision to explain the desire cancelBased on the price gouting and the desire for money, this company refused accept my cancellation and at one part of the conversation even sugessted that I scalp the tickets myself to recoup my exorbitant chargesOnlinecitytickets is scam with no other purpose than to take advantage of consumers who may miss their version of explanations and fine printConsumers have no recourse in their world of internet sales! If a consumer wishes to cancel an order, especially immediately, it should be the consumers rightA total scam!

start, OnlineCityTickets.com is not the merchant of record for this transactionOnlineCityTickets.com is an online exchange, which facilitates transactions between ticket buyers and sellersOnlineCityTickets.com does not own or possess any ticketsWhen *** placed his order from his computer at the website, OnlineCityTickets.com, he was prompted to review his order and accept that website's terms and conditions before his order was completeThese terms and conditions are attached as a PDFThe website terms and conditions were available to *** as a scroll box during the checkout process and as a link on each page of the siteIf *** did not click on the "yes" button on the checkout page that asks "Have you read and do you agree to our terms and policies," the software would have removed his from the checkout page and he would not have been able to go on to complete his order*** chose to comply with the terms before sending his final order for processing
*** received his authentic tickets on 10/20/via Fedex tracking number XXXXXXXXXXXXWe have attached our policies and you can see clearly labeled on every page of OnlineCityTickets.com that we are not a primary source for event tickets*** was educated to the fact OnlineCityTickets.com is neither a primary sale box office nor the venue***'s freely-chosen acceptance of the terms and conditions indicates that he did make a conscious and educated decision to purchase tickets
All fees are disclosed at checkout in multiple locations on the page once the customer has chosen their desired delivery methodOur site charges a service fee that is common to sites in both the primary and secondary ticket marketsThis fee is dynamic and changes per event and delivery methodOnce that variable is determined it is disclosed in multiple locations in the checkoutSee attached screen shot

As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not directly affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holdersSince customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, the tickets typically exceed face value for events listed on our websiteThis fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement "We are a resale marketplacePrices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue."

company and a secondary marketplace that simply connects sellers of event
tickets with customers looking to purchase those ticketsThe nature of our
business is transparently described throughout our site.We assure *** *** that she was shown the same checkout page
that is clearly displayed to all our customersIn addition to clearly
displaying our disclaimer that “Ticket prices may exceed face value” on the
left side, this page presents a detailed order breakdown that includes all
fees, the price per ticket, and the total charge in bolded textThis total is
later restated directly above the “Place Order” button, and below a notice
explaining that “all sales are final.” As indicated in our previous response, customers
must explicitly agree to our terms and complete each part of the process;
failure to do so prevents the order from being completedThe moment the order
is put into our system the “all sales are final” policy goes into effectAs a
result, we must enforce this policy and cannot issue a full refundWe now
consider this matter resolved

I tried to rush to get tickets because my husband was in the other room and it was a birthday surprise What a terrible pick of a place to purchase them through I love paying $and getting nothing to show for it but a promise my item will show up in two months Makes for a crappy present

I am rejecting this response because: The vendor is using questionable selling practices and has a responsibility to disclose the specifics of the terms of purchase when a purchase is made over the phone not make a blanket statement asking if you agree to their termThe vendor also is not honoring its money back guaranteeThe guarantee is applicable in this instance because the vendor guarantee that there would not be ANY issues with the tickets, which was not the case because the arena could not honor any changes to the tickets because the were issued in someone else's name - which was not disclosed or ever discussed with meIn addition the vendor is upselling the tickets for more than 100% of the face value on their website which leads the purchaser to believe that they are actually purchasing tickets of a higher valueI will continue to pursue all available legal avenues to ensure future reimbursement of my funds by this companyI will not accept this response

We understand that Ms*** ordered tickets to see Motown - The Musical on 2/15/and that inclement weather may have prevented her from being able to attend this eventBecause of this, Ms*** has asked that OnlineCityTickets provide her with a full refund of her purchaseHowever, because sellers on our site list their own tickets and are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, we are unable to cancel or refund orders, or provide exchangesWe can provide refunds only in certain situations, such as when an event is outright cancelledAs the Refund Policy transparently described in our sales terms states: "All sales are finalA full refund of the purchase price, excluding shipping charges, will be given for cancelled events."
As her event was not outright canceled, we are unable to provide Ms*** requested refundSellers list tickets on our site under the condition that orders can only be voided when an event is outright canceled, which is why our sales terms clearly stipulates this fact, and the checkout process clearly states that all sales are finalAs a marketplace, the terms of sale must be fair to both sellers and customersWe now consider this matter closed--but if Ms*** has any other questions or concerns, we welcome her to contact us

I still feel that since The *** Opera House is treating this as a "cancellation", that a full refund should be issuedHowever, I would be willing to take a reduced refund if the original owner of the ticket,*** could be contacted, so he can contact Ticketmaster to get a refund for the tickets, then reimburse me for the price he paid for them, which I know is much less than what I paidI would have liked a full refund, however, a reduced refund is better than none
