RE:       Case# [redacted]             To Whom It May Concern: We are in receipt of the above referenced complaint filed with your office concerning Complainant’s Overseas Adventure Travel...

(“OAT”) trip called “Untamed Iceland” scheduled to be departing on June 27, 2017.
Complainant originally had two trips reserved with us. They were scheduled to take the Iceland trip departing the U.S. on June 27, fly from Iceland to London on July 8, and then join the Grand Circle Travel trip England, Scotland & Wales, returning to the U.S. on July 22.
On September 14, Complainant asked us to change their flights to a customized flight that was $340.00 more per person. This was added to the invoice for the Iceland tour. I am including a copy of this invoice with this note.
Complainant canceled the England, Scotland, and Wales trip on November 9, 2016. At that time, we advised them that there would be a $300.00 per person cancellation fee, which is our normal cancellation fee for land tours outside of 90 days prior to the trip. We also advised them at that time that there would be a $100.00 fee per person to cancel the flight from Iceland to London, but this was not applied to the refund we were sending to them. I hope this clears up any confusion regarding the open balance on Complainant’s invoice.
In light of the fact that Complainant says their intention was to cancel their original trip and take another trip at a later time, we will issue a $300.00 per person credit to be used on a future trip. Complainant will be able ot see this credit on our website through the "My Account" feature.
If there are any further questions regarding this issue, I can be reached at [redacted] extension [redacted].
Sincerely, [redacted]

RE:       Case# [redacted]             To Whom It May Concern: We are in receipt of the above referenced complaint filed with your office concerning Complainant’s Grand Circle Cruise...

Line (“GCCL”) trip called “Romance of the Rhine and Mosel”.

When we advertise a trip, we always have a lead-in price listed in our materials. For example, this trip is advertised on the postcard as being “from $2,395.00”. This price is based on the lowest possible price a trip is offered at. This price reflects the least expensive cabin category and the least desirable time of year to travel. If a traveler prefers a different time of year or an upgraded cabin, these prices go up. In this case, the price of $2,395.00 per person reflects a November 11, 2017 departure in the lowest cabin category.
In addition, those lowest prices tend to be very popular, and they sell out very quickly. When Complainant contacted us, the November 11 date was still available, but the lowest two categories of cabin are sold out, and the lowest price now available is $2,595.00 per person for a category “Cantata F” on November 11. If Complainant still wishes to take advantage of this price, we have extended this offer through March 3. They can get the savings by mentioning the code “FEB AIR” when they contact us. If they prefer a different cabin category or a different date, we’ll be able to go over that price with them when they call.
If there are any further questions regarding this issue, I can be reached at [redacted].
Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com Response:Re: Case #[redacted]To Whom It May Concern:We are in receipt of the above referenced claim filed with your office concerning Complainant’s issue around an inaccurate price that was printed in one of our brochures.  On 7/13/15, GCT sent out a brochure (job number [redacted]) promoting...

how travelers can maximize their savings using various discounts and credits that we offer. Nineteen different versions were sent out to travelers, each promoting a different trip. The version for our Highlights of [redacted] trip was sent out with an error. It promoted a price of $3,800.00 per couple on a September 2, 2016 departure. We don’t have a departure for this trip on September 2, 2016, and the closest date, September 8, has a base price of $3,095.00 per person. In our Terms & Conditions, which appear on our website, and which Complainant accepted on May 12, 2015 when reserving a different tour with us, we indicate “Every effort has been made to produce pricing information accurately. Operator reserves the right to correct promotional or pricing errors at any time…” While we do regretthe error and the confusion it caused, we must respectfully decline Complainant’s request that we honor this erroneous price. At this point, we consider this matter resolved.Sincerely, [redacted]Traveler RelationsGrand Circle Travel

Again, fake news. I did not receive a call from OAT, I agreed to nothing. I was sent voucher for next trip. Really! I will never travel with them, and the voucher is as worthless as the paper written on. I want the cash back, no voucher. I never gave them a voucher for the insurance. I had to send a check, or credit card.  Regards,
