In March 2013, I had waterproofing done to my condominium done by Ohio State Waterproofing CoI am selling my homeI was informed that there is a lien on my home for the amount I still owe on the waterproofing billSince I am doing a Short Sale for health reasons I will not make any money on the sale of my propertyI pay [redacted] services every month on time for the loan extended to me for the waterproofingI pay every month $dollars to the bank (the bill is just $160.00)During the contract time it was NEVER stated that a lien would be put on my home for fixing my basement or I would never have had it doneOSW took the liberty of doing this and now I am stuck so the deal cannot go throughI contacted the young lady at OSW and she told me that it could be removed and she would call me backI went to OSW on Thursday and she told me that it is some paperwork that needs to be signed and when she gets this in she will call meI called today and she said she nee

May, I contracted with ohio state home services incto service the below grade masonry of my home at that time they gave me a commitment and quality care pledgea very short time after reporting my problem, the service crew came out and fixed the problem They honored their quality care pledge 100% I would highly recommend them to my family and friends

My husband and I chose Ohio State Waterproofing more than years ago to attack our damp basement problemsWe were very satisfiedBut now, years later, I am even more impressed! #1: They are serious about their warranty and free inspectionsThey came out immediately when our sump pump malfunction (after more than years of service) and replaced it free of any charges and with gracious professionalism #2: Last year at the Home and Garden Show, my daughter and I were introduced to a new OSW product, StablwallIt was the answer to our cracking, bulging foundation wallsIt is pricey but letting it get worse would cost us moreA very professional young man did the installation It is amazingSo far, Stablwall is workingI can't endorse this product or Ohio State Waterproofing more highly It is refreshing to have a company ACTUALLY stand behind their lifetime warranty with no hidden charges

I had Ohio State Waterproofing waterproof my basement many years ago. The installation and service were ***! I would recommend them to anyone who desires top notch waterproofing. It has enhanced the comfort and value of my home! Thank you!!

I called in to cancel an order I had made with Ohio State Waterproofing The person I spoke to on the phone said that someone would need to come out to have me sign some papers to get it cancelled I told her that I did not want anyone coming out to my home again and asked if she could mail them or if there was some other way we could handle it She told me no and it would only take a couple minutes So when the appointment time came, they were late, the guy that I had signed the order with had brought his manager, Ron D [redacted] I did let them in I told him I wanted to cancel the order Ron D [redacted] started acting like he wanted to help me, but was basically just being very pushy about finding some way to keep the contract He continued to argue with me repeating the same things over and over againThe way he was speaking to me I felt like he was making threats and felt very uncomfortable I did let him know that, but he continued to repeat himself Finally he stood u

This is a letter of appreciation in regard to Chester's Ohio State Waterproofing crew The crew did a thorough job draping all items in our finished basement in addition to placing several layers of plastic sheets between our exterior basement door and all interior areas to which they required access When the job is completed (tomorrow) and the plastic sheeting removed, I expect there to be no sign of their presence other than a dry basement floor in my home CF Twinsburg, OH

Hello I have been a home owner now for yearsAt the end of I had Ohio State Waterproofing come out to my home and explain how my system workedA manager by the name of Mike not only explained my whole waterproofing system but took the time to inspect it right on the spotI feel pleased to be a customer and all worries about how my system runs has been put to rest
Thanks Ohio State Waterproofing,
Andy Hin Ohio

As you will see from the letter attached the waterproofing job here at *** *** ** was apparently never done correctly in the first place and that the many "fixes" after multiple water events that have been done over the years did not fix the original fact that the job was done improperly to start with This has resulted in a great deal of personal pain and suffering by myself, my family (including family pets) over the years and continues to this day every time it rains hard Just today 2-7-we had yet another water event that arose from the rains yesterday and the flaws in the initial installation of the water proofing
I see commercials with people that have a finished basement and know that not only is that impossible for me at this point but that everytime there is a hard rain for the years that we have lived I have had to worry about water coming into the basement

Basically I spent $15,for waterproofing that isn't workingwhat a scam of a business.Been out times after work was half *** done. And still water is pouring into basementTalking about my home is old and is going to leakWhat? They should use the same methods to fix water coming in whether new or older homeThey will make up any excuse to not fix properly so they don't have to keep messing with youThe"So Called" Supervisor is a rude/smart *** little punk.I am having to have them back out one more and final time to fix water coming in or I am taking them to courtDo Not have anything done with this companyif you do....you will regret it-Period! My true review will be "0" Stars

I have had my waterproofing done in the early eighties We live on the downside of a hill and have never had a water issue from ground water since the work was done After some months I had a follow up call inquiring if I was satisfied with the work that was completed, and if there were
Any problems Both answers were positive and continue to be satisfactory with the fact that there are no signs of any water issues
Based on my experience, I'd have no problem recommending this company for work that needs to be done

I requested an estimate for basement waterproofing I was told that they would not even consider giving an estimate unless my estranged husband was present Even though I am the person responsible for paying any subsequent contract, they refused to come I felt discriminated against as a woman I could not even get just a free estimate!

We are a repeat customer for Ohio State Waterproofing We had a second home done April We made our initial contact thru the home show at the IX centerA rep came out and gave us the estimateThe price may sound steep, but consider thisYou have a water problem, You can't fix it, or you would haveThe work is done, and when you maintain your Master Service Warranty you have coverage for the entire time you live in your home, and it is transferable should you sell your homeOur home has a large footprint We had crew here days and crews day to complete the installThe guys were nice and politeVery hard workersWe are older, and the crew helped us move some things that were just too heavy for usAdonis was in charge of the workers, and updated us with what they were doing, and how they would be workingThe best part of our install? My basement is now dryWe have sump pumpsAbout year in, we had a problem with of the unitsWe made a call, the tech came out, replaced what was defective, and was on his wayOur cost? ZEROIf you can look back years after the install, and still be completely happy?? I think that is a win

Despite numerous calls to the company to let them know I am not interested in their services and please do not solicit my home or my number, the come
I have requested to be removed from the list of solicitationsPlease comply

I met with two salesman at my home on 2/25/I met with James B*** and Frank M*** from Ohio State WaterproofingI was provided a waterproofing option for my basement that included digging down to the footer on the outside wall, tar and plastic then drains on the bottomThey would then place what they termed a gutter system higher up with gravel also at both levelsI was told that any cracks would be filled with hydraulic cementThe inside would be dug out around the footer, gravel and drains placed and all would empty into a sump pump and be pumped outThe inside drains were what was expectedThe outside was only dug down a few feetTar and plastic placed only on the small exposed area of the wallDrain pipe and gravel were then placed in this trench that was not clear to the bottom of the wallOn the inside some type of silicone looking product was smeared on the larger cracksAlso some type of

In April I agreed to be on call to have Ohio State Waterproofing waterproof my home at a one time cost of $21620.00, with no additional feesI was on call at a 24-hour notice so I prepared my cellar and waitedI was told that the disruption to my house, my in home bakery business, and my partner- *** ***'s business which he conducts out of our home- would be minimalI was told there would be minimal dust and that the crew would clean up after the workI trusted this information to be true
On July 31, the work was startedThe crew tried to begin work inside but was having trouble with the equipmentOn the third day- Wednesday, August 2, they brought in new equipment because I was told my cellar floor was very hard and they couldn't use the regular equipmentAs the work progressed we found that we could not conduct work out of our homeI could not bake because of the debris in the air and on surfaces all over the house*** could not work because the n

Short review: It's a DIRTY job, but if you have to have someone do itYOU WANT THESE GUYS! A+++++++++++
Long review:
Salesmen took their time with us and helped us pick out the best options for our home They needed both my husband and I present for the consult to go over the details of this projectI appreciated that aspect as most sales people will disregard one or the other spouse We opted for interior and exterior packageAlthough it was the most expensive, it is something we will NEVER have to worry about again and the warranty transfers with the house!
The pricing and scheduling was fair and as painless as waterproofing can beWe were super impressed by the thoroughness of the foreman (Chester) and OVERWHELMINGLY IMPRESSED with the crew! The weather they were in was frigid at best and they dug their hearts out - EVEN UNDER OUR DECK! Wow! They carried in buckets of dirt and stone to put into the reservoir created for the interior portion of the projectThe amount of work they put into the project THEY DESERVE A RAISE!!! They worked hard and it was a pleasure to cook lunch for them!
The job was dirty There is no other way to put it However, the guys taped down plastic and cardboard on top of that They also covered the steps with protective plastic They covered all of our carpet and anything else they expected to come into contact with with plastic and card board Clean up was thorough and much better than I expectedAlthough my clean up was also extensive I cannot imagine anything they could do different to mitigate the cleanliness of the jobThe job was done efficiently and fast They gave us an estimate of to business days They were complete in They did not rush the job but they put in an honest days work and got the job done!
They went through the entire job site with me upon completion They took the time to explain what was done and what to expect(sinking earth, alarm on backup sump pump, curing and moisture on the freshly laid concrete, etc.) Anything pointed out was immediately handled (a crack in the basement floor) without an attitude! No egos involved here!
The company actually sent out a manager to follow up with us post job completion and several weeks after completion to make sure the job was done complete and that we were satisfied I can't get other companies to answer the phone let alone track me down to come out and see how they did! A++++ Several minor issues (sinking dirt, concrete that needed to be trimmed, a door that was taken off the hinges is not right, etc.) were graciously noted and we are scheduled for repairs (yes, on the same day I was called to schedule) for a few weeks from now to see how much more the dirt would settle The manager, Ron, was so helpful and concerned about the performance of the salesmen, foreman, crew and himself, it was unlike any company I have ever dealt withA "WOW" moment was when their crew/foreman noticed a leak in our basement toilet grinder system and our pre-existing sump pump (which was also BRAND NEW)they didn't give us the old line, "Well, you need to get someone out here to fix this..." THEY FIXED IT!!! Yes, they went above and beyond and fixed part of our house that were not part of the estimate or the job they were doing!!! AMAZING!
THEY DON'T MAKE COMPANIES LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!!
The warranty will need a small fee (Approximately $annually) and they will come out and do any and all repairs, fixes and inspections to make sure it is all still working as intended(Minus the sump pump battery operated backup - that has a limited warranty on it.)
All in all, this experience was amazing We called several other companies and had two others come out for estimates NO ONE was as thorough, pleasant and complete as OSW I highly recommend using them!!!

From the beginning the contractor I had come to my home seemed irritated, I just assumed he was over worked and having a bad day, it happensI asked him to look at a bowing and cracked wall in my basementHe looked at the wall, observed water coming in (as expected with this level of damage) and then proceeded to meander around my basement telling me I had "massive" problemsHis tone and demeanor made me feel like I was an it for even considering the purchase of a home with such massive problems (I live in a home built in the early 1900's, so some basement water was expected)After several comments like "how did you not notice this" and "how could you not want a higher quality of life" he sat me and my wife down and told us his $30,plan to water proof our basementNo mention of fixing my wallI thought for sure he would try to sell me a timeshare towards the end his fear mongering, high pressure sales tactics were so strong

I got an estimate for waterproofing my basement from this company last yearNow they continue to call and bother me!
Had my basement flood in a big storm, called this company for an estimateThe guy who came out was a joker who very little about construction he was just a salesmanHis price was outrageous! $26,000!! He tried to sell me some other type of system that does not stop water from entering the home but diverts it to a sump pumpwhat a joke!
I did some research on this company and did not find anyone who would recommend this company or that was happy with their work or priceA few days after the estimate this company called interrupting my dinner stating the salesman had made a mistake and they could do it for cheaper than the estimateI told them that I was not interested and not to call me againSince then they have called several times bothering me.Each time I have told them not interested and stop calling I have also seen them drive by my house looking to see
