I had Ohio State Waterproofing out to do an estimate for waterproofing our basement on Wednesday, May 23rd After a hour sales pitch where the salesman scared us half to death and convinced us our house needed $20,000+ of repairs to be safe, we agreed to have the company do the waterproofing work However, the contract has a provision that, per Ohio law, we have business days to cancel if we change our mind The next day (May 24), we spoke with other professionals and a home inspector who told us that we were being overcharged That day (May 24, less than hours after signing the contract), we called to cancel They sent a team out the next day (May 25) to try and pressure us into keeping the contract We declined and they cancelled the contract Per the cancellation notice, Ohio State Waterproofing h
This company uses a systematic approach to diagnosing and solving basement problems In our case we had ground water seeping through the floor and wall from underneath the foundation The solution they proposed left no doubt that the problem would be solved Both the salesmen and foreman explained the process thoroughly, and they delivered what they promised The crew was truly a team, and they left the place clean after what could have been a messy set of tasksThey worked hard, took few breaks, and had the whole thing done in less than three days It was a bit on the expensive side, but in the end, I trust that our water problems will be over

I have been dealing with this company for about years They have dug up my foundation several times My most recent problem occurred in late May It was nearly a month before they could even come out to look at the situation, meanwhile I had sent pictures of the water which the technician could not find before he came He determined that the entire front and side of the foundation needed to be dug up again and gave me a service date of mid-August I am attempting to sell my home, which I cannot do with water in the basement I also paid several hundred dollars to have my landscaping cleaned up and now they will be destroying it and I'll have to have it done again In the past their actions have either killed or required the removal of shrubs, etc, which then I have to pay to replace I am wondering why the repair has never been done properly!
