I am not mad about not being able to get a hold of Ian. I am upset about promises that were made and then broke. I n discussion with Ian I asked why I was never told he was ill he said that I was not at the top of his list as to tell and he was not worried about my damn taxis. This is what I am talking about no contact after he made promises and home office didn't tell us what was going on that they couldn't get into his office,I am sure that the home office knew what was going on and could have done something about this before it led to this.

What I'd like is for Pacific Capital to delete my name & associated mailing address so I don't receive these deceptive marketing practices again the future. Consider me officially opting out because I will never do business with this organization based on shear principle alone. I would like confirmation once that is complete, which will at that point suffice as this Revdex.com case closure.

1) They somehow obtain personal information and open a...

line/card in your name WITHOUT YOUR application or authorization! 
-We buy data from [redacted] and [redacted].  Everything that we have is publicly available information.  We would never open a line of credit without authorization.  We are a direct lender.  If we did open unauthorized lines of credit, our customers would not make any payments and we would be out of business.
2) Then they send you a letter of activation with actual card and
account number, This is a real card with your personal information, magnetic
strip etc.
-The letter you received in the mail clearly states that it is a marketing letter.  
3) The purpose of this activation letter is to get you on the phone and
extract more of your personal/private information.
-Just like all marketing, the purpose of the letter is to encourage business owners to call in and better understand their borrowing options.  Because we don't have any personal information about the businesses in our marketing database, we do need more information before we can offer financing for a customer.
I'm sorry that this was such an unpleasant process for you.  Please understand that it would only hurt us to damage your identity.
