I am requesting a refund from AeroMexico On Monday, August 1, 2016, my *** Steve ***, and I flew from JFK Airport in New York City to Mexico City From there, we boarded flight number AM from Mexico City to Lima, Peru Due to fuel issues, we detoured and flew from Mexico City to Cancun, Mexico causing a three hour delay Due to this delay my *** and I missed our 9AM flight from Lima to Cusco We had to pay $USD plus a $USD fee to our credit card for international fees to board a new flight to CuscoThe flight from Lima to Cusco was with the airline company LCPeru We went to the Aeromexico office in the Lima airport to complain and spoke with a woman by the name of Elizabeth *** She was unable to assist us I also called Aeromexico customer service and was told to send an emailI sent three emails with my reservation confirmation and they never responded until I threatened to report them When they finally responded over three and a half weeks la

This airline is ridiculousMy grandmother had a near fatal accident on one of their flights a few months backFor obvious reasons we rescheduled the flight as she and my parents were not able to board, they provided them with three vouchers to use when re-bookingNow the problem is re-booking with the vouchers, you can only book on the phone and they have $service fee for each flightSeriously!? I asked to speak to the manager and he was TERRIBLE!!!! I kindly asked if he can waive the service fee as I'm able and capable to book my own flight online, but because I have to pay in form of their vouchers, I can ONLY call to redeem my vouchersHe reminded me in a rude manner that I need to pay if I want to "use my vouchers from my previous flights" and there is no way around itThis service fee is ridiculous and a trap to make people pay moreThis is not acceptable

When attempting to check in yesterday for an Aeromexico return flight from Mexico City to the U.SI was the told the flight was oversold and there were no seats for me and my wife, despite having booked a round trip ticket on Aeromexico’s website months in advance, having a confirmation number and seats assignedI was told overbooking by 10% was “legal” due to it being the "high travel season." This seems to be common practice by Aeromexico, whatever the whatever the season, as I and others have experienced this on numerous occasions with this airline (a friend booked on the next flight had the same experience), convincing me to avoid Aeromexico at all costsAfter speaking with an extremely unhelpful and rude supervisor, and explaining our situation, she said she would investigate further and disappeared, only to return minutes later to again repeat there were no seats for usShe promised to place us first on a wait list for the flight we had bookedWhen we appeared at the departure gate we noticed our names were numbers and on the electronic display of wait listed passengersAeromexico and its staff do not understand customer serviceAvoid this airline at all costs, particularly if your arrival time is of the essence, either for a connecting flight or an important appointment

As an avid traveler to Mexico and Latin America, I was on the hunt for a travel rewards credit card with great benefits! I decided Aeromexico was a great fit since i've never had issues with their service either at the airport, nor onboardIn fact - i'm a big fan of their service on board! I recently traveled as FIRST CLASS with AeroMexico and my bag was damagedI even lost some of the items that I have placed in the upper pocket of my bag
The baggage is damaged from inside as well as from outside too as you can see that in pictures(I provided pictures to AeroMexico but they were unable to do anything)

I have traveled on a number of *** ***, and AeroMexico indeed earns the review as the worst airline in the world! I arrived at Bogota's El Dorado airport for a 7:57am flight to Calgary, Canada, checkand received my boarding pass, cleared security, and headed to Gate as was indicated on my boarding cardAt 7:50am I learned that the proper gate was in fact 48A, which was completely separate from where my waiting area was at Gate I never received any page over the intercom, and was completely unaware of the difference in areasAfter sprinting downstairs to Gate 48A on a mezzanine level I learned from another El Dorado Airport staff member not affiliated with AeroMexico (but still useless) that the boarding had closed and I had effectively missed my departureI spent the next minutes trying to track down an actual AeroMexico representative at which time I was told that the error was completely my fault, and that the best that AeroMexico could do was offer me it's "deepest regret" at my problemThe Bogota AeroMexico representative offered no solutions and ultimately took me to their back office in the airport where she proceeded to close a large door in my face, hide like a coward along with the rest of her colleagues, and summon security to escort me back to the main departure hall so that they could carry on with their day removed from my issueUltimately I had to book $1,worth of flights on United Airlines and linger around El Dorado for hours before leaving on a 1:15am departure the next morningAeroMexico has no interest in providing solutions to traveler problems; has no interest in acknowledging their error even in spite of overwhelming evidence including official boarding passes stating the correct gate, AeroMexico website screenshots for the flight showing the same gate information as my boarding card even two hours after departure, and pictures of two entirely different locations (see attached); and is entirely focused on taking your money and reservation and then letting you navigate your way through their processes without any assistance and at your own perilIf this is Mexico's *** ***, then this seems to imply that Mexico is unorganized, inefficient, and entirely devoid of any service once money is in their hands--I have seen street side taco stands in Puerto Vallarta managed more thoroughly than this airline!! Save your time, save your money, save your effort and sanity, and book your travels to Central and South America with any other airline if you can, even if the number of connections and time to arrive at your desired destination is longer, as dealing with AeroMexico is a textbook lesson in business incompetence
