We purchased a contract from Student Advisors Temecula (dealer) on June 7, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly stated the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan debt relief bureaucracy.? We also have a recorded verification call done with the customer prior to processing the loan which explained the transaction and Equitable's role in it.? The dealer informed us September 12, that the consolidation for the customer was complete.? The customer and dealer will have to do a re-certification every year to stay in the program the dealer has deemed best for the customer.? The phone number we have for this dealer's customer service department is [redacted] .? They are open from 9:00am to 5:00pm pacific time zone.? We have not had any issues getting ahold of anyone there during their working hours.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling his obligation to us so we do not have to report negatively to the credit bureaus

We purchased a contract from Feded Services, aka Student Loan Relief Department or [redacted] , on June 20, 2016.? The contract was for a service they did for customer regarding her student loan restructuring.? We had authorization per the terms of the signed documents to deduct the monthly payment from the customer's credit card.? If the customer has any questions, they can reach our Customer Service department at ###-###-####, or the Customer Service department of the dealer at ###-###-####

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meWe have contacted [redacted] and we were able to get a better understanding of the contract.?

As stated in the Revdex.com Review submitted 3/10/17: We purchased a contract from Student Advocates (dealer) to finance the documentation prep fee they charge to work with the DOE to consolidate or refinance student loans for the customerThe first payment on this account was set up for 3/15/and is set up for automatic payments from the customer's checking accountWe deducted the payment on that dateThere was no payment that was missed in February as stated in the customer's reviewThe customer called us in early February with questions regarding her loan, which we helped her withWe attempted to call the customer on March to ask her if she had any questions and remind her that her payment us due on the 15th and we would be deducting the payment from her checking accountWe were not calling because she was late on a payment as she told us when we called her, and she went off on a tangent of bad reviews and working with the DOEOur customer service representative ended the call because the customer was not listening to our explanation for the callWe apologize if the customer was upset with this series of events, but it was not our intention to be confrontationalAs previously stated, this account is set up for automatic payments, so we should not have any reason to call the customer in the future as long as the account stays currentSubmitted: 03/16/2017There was no late fee ever added to this account

We are presently not reporting any derogatory status on this account The account was never over thirty days late which would have lead to a negative reporting The late fee in question, for $for the January payment, was assessed January when the payment due on January was not paid The payment was received on February 1, and the late fee came out of the amount sent inHowever, the amount sent was short $for the late fee owing, so that amount becomes a principal amount owing(The last two payment paid were sent with an extra $each, so reduced the $owing to $9.40) The account is now paid current with the payment paid March The next payment owing is April This account is in good standing with us and has been reported to the credit bureaus as satisfactoryWe apologize for any confusion this may have caused

We purchased a contract from Manhattan Beach Venture, LLC (dealer) on August 25, for the customer to pay the dealer the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy.? Equitable Acceptance is not a student loan consolidation company as the customer states, we purchase contracts and have nothing to do with the service the customer was offered by the dealer.? The customer paid eight on time payments beginning in December of 2016, but stopped making payments to pay for this loan.? The calls to the personal reference from the credit application supplied by the dealer was in an attempt to collect on a past due payment since we were unable to contact the customer.? Since the customer stopped making payments on this account, we have charged off the account.? The customer has no further obligation to us, however, she may owe something to the dealer for the work they did on her behalf

? I am rejecting this response because:? For more than a month, I have been unable to reach anyone from [redacted] .On April 12, after filing a claim with Revdex.com, I receive a call from someone named, Robert, who left a voicemail stating he was a representative with [redacted] .? He called from a ###-###-####.? He left a ###-###-#### number.? I returned his call within the hour (called both numbers) and received no response since.? After receiving The Revdex.com business response, I have called both numbers for the past two days.? The ###-###-#### number just rings and the ###-###-#### goes to the same mailbox from about different numbers I've received from Equitable Acceptance which says all representatives are busyEquitable Acceptance claims to be in partnership with this company, but they have yet to provide a representative from [redacted] that I can speak with to rectify this issue.? I have asked them to transfer me, and they put a "mediation specialist" on the line who was very aggressive and stated she knew [redacted] 's policies.? I explained that if she is not affiliated with [redacted] , there was no need to speak with herShe hung up on me.? I cannot find this company online.? One representative I spoke to said the company has been purchase my a company called [redacted] .? [redacted] is Equitable Acceptance.? They are using this fake company name so they do not have to issue a refund?

We purchased a contract from [redacted] , dealer, on June 15, 2016.? The contract is for the fee the dealer charges the customer to provide a service to the cuatomer.? The service is to work with the outstanding student loans the customer has, and refinance them to a lower monthly payment or less term.? Any? issue with the student loans would have to be addressed with the dealer.? This account is set up for automatic payments from the customer's credit card which was given to the dealer when the account was set up.? We look forward to the customer fulfilling the obligation they have with is per the terms of the signed Purchase Agreement and Revolving Credit Application they signed

We purchased a contract from Student Advocates (dealer) on July 8, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loans on the customer's behalf.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service of helping to navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy.? Equitable has nothing to do with the status of the student loans, and the customer would need to contact the dealer to resolve any issues they think they may have.? The customer has been making payments on this account since the first payment was due September 15, 2016.? If the customer would have read the documents she signed she would have seen the interest rate stated, as this is a revolving credit account and as the payments are received the interest amount is reduced based on the outstanding balance each month.? This is being reported to the credit bureau as a credit card because this is the only option we have to report this.? The credit bureaus have given us this code to fit their reporting process.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us so we do not have to report negatively on her credit bureau.? We have adjusted previously charged late fees off of this account, and the account is now paid current.? The next payment due May will be automatically paid per the customer's setting up of auto payments from a credit card

The customer did not call our office, they were working with a company, [redacted] (dealer), that works with consumers to refinance or consolidate student loans.? The dealer would have received either verbal or written permission to access the consumer's credit file to determine which program would benefit the consumer the best.? This access only gives the dealer a credit code that determines where the consumer's credit falls.? They do not have access to the details of the file, only that based on the credit file where the consumer fits their programs.? Once the credit authorization is given, the file is accessed and an inquiry is recorded on the file.? We cannot remove the inquiry.? The dealer has a recording of the telephone call giving the authorization, and without the authorization would not have attempted to access the credit file

? I am rejecting this response because: When I contacting the Department of Education concerning this matter, they emphatically told me they had no record of me even being involved with a second hand program for assistanceI then felt I was being taken advantage of and the bottom line is EA never told me this money was not going towards my loanWhy would I pay a second hand company when I could put that money on the principle and not the interest? I have chose to no longer deal with EAFrom here on out, the money I put out will got towards the loan itself

We purchased a contract from Progress Advocates Group (dealer) on October 5, for the customer to finance the fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education (DOE) to consolidate student loans.? The fee is the charge the dealer has to do the work on the customer's behalf.? The statement stating the customer feels scammed is not accurate.? The customer signed documents to approve the processing of this loan.? The customer signed the Credit Request Authorization, Revolving Credit Plan, and Purchase Agreement stating they agreed to the loan and will repay the obligation.? We also have a recording between the dealer and customer authorizing the transaction.? For the customer to stop paying on this account may lead to a negative reporting to the credit burau.? Our Account Representatives would be willing to work with the customer to repay this debt if there is a problem with making the payments on time

We purchased a contract from Student Loan Care (dealer) on March 16, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loans on the customer's behalf.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, with Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer is offering a service to navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy.? Equitable has nothing to do with the status of the student loans, and the customer would have to contact the dealer to resolve any issues they may have.? The dealer's phone number is ###-###-####.? The customer paid their account in full on May 10, 2017.? We will report the account as paid in full

The complaint you have is with [redacted] ***, the selling dealerIf you feel they did not explain the program and service they are providing for you, you need to take up the issue with themWe have nothing to do with the service they provide, or how they sold the service to youTheir customer service number is [redacted] We will expect the customer to uphold the financial commitment she made to repay this debt

We purchased a contract from Student Enrollment Center ("dealer") on October 17, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly stated the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan debt relief bureaucracy.? We also have a recorded verification call done with the customer prior to funding the loan.? According to the documents received from the dealer, the dealer enrolled the customer in the Pay As Your Earn program which had an Estimated New Monthly Payment of $for the first year.? After the first year, the dealer would re-certify or re-enroll the customer into the best program based on the customer's financial situation.? Any questions regarding the student loans or which program the customer qualifies for, need to be address with the dealer at [redacted] .? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling their obligation to us

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me? After speaking with a representative at Equitable Acceptance, this issue has been resolved? I had been told wrong by another representative at Progress Advocates and was not explained everything in detail? I'm satisfied with the result and the complaint against Equitable Acceptance can be closed? Thank you

We purchased a contract from [redacted] ("dealer") on March 2, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly stated the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan debt relief bureaucracyWe also have a recorded verification call done with the customer prior to funding the loan which explained the transaction.? The amount paid to us is for the fee, not paid towards the student loans as the complaint suggests.? The dealer enrolled the customer in the best repayment plan based on the customer's financial situation, which may be a zero payment plan for student loan payments.? However, the customer needs to be re-enrolled each year for that benefit, which the dealer can help with as part of the upfront fee the customer paid for.? ? If the customer has questions about the process, or about her student loans, she must contact the dealer at ###-###-####.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) on October 6, for the customer to finance the fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to consolidate student loans.? The first payment is due on December 15, The date on the contract is September 29, 2016.? The cancellation period (three days) was October 3, 2016.? We do not cancel accounts, unless instructed to by selling dealer.? We have spoken to the customer today, October 10, and explained the account.? We look forward to having the customer fulfill her obligation to us to pay this loan

? I am rejecting this response because: They hold my loan and work with student loan solutions so they are apart of this just as muchMy loan was already consildatedI am not paying another payment for a loan that I wasnt aware of and promised to me was that the interest would ? be frozenThis is a huge scam to do paperwork for what??

We purchased a contract from [redacted] (dealer) on September 9, for the customer to finance the fee the dealer charged the customer to work with the Department of Education (DOE) to refinance or consolidate their student loans.? This loan has nothing to do with the customer's student loans.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, in which Equitable Acceptance (EAC) is not involved and clearly states the dealer offers a service of helping to navigate the student loan debt relief bureaucracy.? The customer had three days to cancel the transaction but did not cancel.? We will not be cancelling this account.? If there is an issue with the student loan consolidation, the customer needs to contact the dealer to resolve.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling their obligation to us so we do not have to report negatively to their credit bureau
