Hired Pack and Load Services for me moveThe move was HORRENDOUS and the customer service was even worseThey will not refund or even call me
I hired Pack and Load Services to do my move for me from Charlottesville to DCI needed to be moved in by July 28th, and offered that we do the move by packing on the 27th and moving on the 28th, or entirely on one dayThey said they would be able to do it entirely on the 28th with no problem
When the 28th happens, the whole day is miserableThe movers show up late, and do not bring any boxesThe movers knew that we were in a time crunch to get to DC to unpack same day, and still showed up min after there two hour time windowThen, they didn't bring boxes, which was part of the contractSo they asked to use boxes that my boyfriend had for his own move

Men sent to assist in loading "pod" lied about hours they were to do job I didn't have paperwork with me, so I believed them and was shorted an hour
I confirmed by phone with representative from listed company for men to assist in loading a "pod" at my old address.I agreed and paid for hours MINIMUMOn May 07th the men arrived from Shreveport.One man that had HIS OWN MOVING BUSINESS AND PRESENTED BUSINESS CARDS...ADVISED ME THAT HE AND HIS ASSOCIATE WAS THERE FOR HOURS.I'm currently dealing with the unprepared death of my husband of years in the house we shared for 20.I cry and forget "ALOT"and yes, I have others to help me dailyI had a friend with me at this time, Ms*** *** who can share in what time I was told we had to fill the "pod" or PAY AN ADDITIONAL $PER HOUR!! I told him I didn't have any extra so lets work fast and hardI often caught this "head guy" on the phone and told him he needed to work and do that laterNo, I didn't "tell on him" when hi

My experience with this the crew assigned to pack and load my household goods moving from San Antonio, Texas to Henderson, Nevada was the worst everI was packed on July 27th and loaded into my PODS on July 28th for transportWhen my PODS were unloaded in Henderson, boxes labeled fragile were on the bottom and heavy boxes were loaded on top of themNeedless to say many boxes had broken items, some irreplaceableBed frames were placed on top of furniture resulting in deep scaresThe crew that unloaded the PODS in Henderson could not apologize enough for what they sawI thanked them for the apology but reminded them that it was not them that caused the damagesThe crew in San Antonio should be fired for their lack of concern of someone else's property that was entrusted to them and was paid a good some of money for their serviceYou could not pay me enough to use Pack and Load againI served years in the military and moved countless times, however I never experienced such a complete disregard for someone else's property as I did with Pack and LoadIf Pack and Load values their reputation in hopes to increase their business via referrals, I would investigate the crew involved in my move and take the appropriate action to rectify the problemGod help us if this is the new substandard of doing business these days

Run - do NOT walk away from this company - they damage your furniture when loading, they damage it when unloading....they leave your move undone - (dining room table upside down, bed not put together, some boxes out of our apt, and really unpleasant during the move...BUT the real unpleasant news comes when you try to make a claim - they limit their liability to $then made us an offer of $121...the damage will cost us - at minimum and with us moving the pieces to the refinisher over $1500...they are unresponsive, nasty, and should not be in business

As with many unsuspecting customers (people), reporting to the Revdex.com, I want to help point a spotlight on the Pack & Load and warn others to just what type of company these people areThey are not concerned with building a reputable company with values, ethics, and morals No, instead they work in the shadows, never to be seen or to deal with public face to face because they have no integrity or concern for anything besides how to scam the next unsuspecting person out of there money
In our case, my wife hired Pack & Load, to load a pod for us on an upcoming move we had planned several weeks in advanceThat night, once I learned what they were charging to do our work, we quoted with a local company that provides the same service and found the cost to be less than half of what we were being charged from Pack & Load Furthermore, we learned that Pack & Load, not being a company within our city or state, merely hires day laborer's to show up at our door
I called Pack & Load back within one day and canceled our move with them and was issued an invoice with a zero balanceA few days later, we learned that our card had been billed a cancellation fee I called Pack & Load back and was told that because we signed agreeing to the fee, they were entitled to take our money
So here is where ethics come into play and speaks volumes about the type of company Pack & Load are and the reputation they are building Yes we did sign the document and legally Pack & Load can take our money as they did, but when we canceled just one day after and weeks in advance of the move, we know they have not called and scheduled the day laborers just yet, nor is anyone out anything because we canceled It's only an unscrupulous company without ethics or morals that will feel good about taking money from people for doing nothing

Two gentlemen subcontractors arrived without phoning firstThey were requested at and arrived at pm
The first thing they said was that they forgot their tools
I asked about their experience and they assured me they had loaded PODS before (however, later on one was on the phone constantly to get information about how to complete the paperwork)
Their phones rang constantly for the entire hours
They did not prioritize loading by size or wrap furniture based on the most valuable or precious items
At the time, in my moving-exhausted-state, I was impressed with their politeness and just wanted to get everything completed before closing on my home
A week later, I went to the POD to add a few items, and could not get the door open (the last row was not strapped in)

We had two items that were missing from the point our POD was loaded to the point it was unpackedWe reported it as stolen-the company did not
Our home was packed by Pack And Load on May 26th and items loaded into PODsWe had two Dewalt Drills that were part of the items in our garageWe did not see each item in our bedroom house, that was packed and loaded however, it was in the packed group of itemsWhen we arrived in Texas and had our PODS unloaded, I saw one of the Dewalt Drill cases and assumed our drill was in thereAfter the movers left, we unpacked every single boxUpon doing that, we noticed that our two drills were missingNot only the drills but the battery packs, charrger and drill bits in addition to the entire case plus drill for the second oneI immediatley contacted the company and was told they would send a claim form outI took a picture of the empty container but could not show a picture of the missing one, as they requested I do

In addition, multiple items were broken due to poor packing

I have moved several times in my life and I have never had my furniture and belongings treated with the utter lack of respect that I have experienced with Pack and Load Services They hired 3rd party people to pack my pod Those people were carelessThey didn't wrap the furniture in the blankets and paper that I paid for and provided Several of my high end pieces of furniture now have scratches all over them I have a $Elliptical machine that was shoved into the POD and very heavy boxes were stacked on top of the elliptical console When it was unpacked the console was cracked and broken off of the elliptical machine The claims processes is a joke, and their liability limit is a maximum of $ Which is incredibly frustrating especially when I paid them an extra $to give special attention to my elliptical machine and I will get none of that back This company is a complete Joke.....I will never use them again and I will never recommend them to anyone I knowI will always pay a little more to other bigger moving companies that take more pride in the way they treat their customers belongings

ohmygoshi wish I had found this review page before I hired thembut they were the only unload service that returned my call for help in a timely mannerlike other posts here, the "local" crew went AWOLi was not told thisafter they were an hour late I kept calling and kept being REASSURED (lied to) that they were on their wayit was a Friday afternoon in a small townafter hours of me calling and be told they would show up I received a call at little after 7pm (on a friday night) and told that this service has been labeled a "FAILURE" that they wouldn't be helping me and I should just google local movers on my own!!!!! WHAAAAA???? It's a friday night, after and no one would probably return calls until Mondaymy POD was granted a SPECIAL PERMIT to be parked dangerously in a city street and was to be picked up at 7:am the next morningthey knew this!! they told me they had been trying for hours to get ahold of the crew!!! whaaa??? why did they keep reassuring me?? Lie to me?? if I had had those extra hours I might have been able to develop a plan Bi was LIVID and I laid into them and told them they WOULD NOT LEAVE ME HIGH AND DRYSOOOO they did get a crew to drive hours that night and unload the next daymy permit was expired, and the road hazard had to sit there until Monday morningNeighbors were not pleaseThis crew was also fast and didn't seem to listen to me muchI was just grateful they were there at all so when they broke two feet off a cabinet I didn't make a fussi asked the company for some money off but that fell on deaf earsIf I had been penalized by the city, you bet i'd be pushing for more very OVER PRICED btw(automatically charged for a treadmill that was light and very easy for the crewthey said my table was harder....don't tell them you have a treadmill)
