For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowthey are charging me over $ 200.oo a month even in the next months I will scan the letters they mailed me with those charges THESE ARE THE SUPPORT DOCUMENTS , THE BANK IS OVER CHARGING THE PAY OFF , THE SCRAW WAS BY MAY 17 UNABLE TO FIND THAT COPY I PRINTED OUT, PLEASE ASK THE BANK OF THE INTEREST CHARGED EVERY YEAR , THEY OVERCHARGED THE INTEREST IN THE LAST OR YEARS

After verbally clarifying with Mr***, exactly what his rejection was referring to, the following is what he is still trying to obtain answers to:-M&T's response states that the consumer's insurance policy was cancelled and they cannot provide a reason why, however they stated there is still a need for the insurance. -The consumer provided a copy of the letter from the insurance company dated 10/2/indicating the reason for cancellation: "Because of an over payment on your accountWe are sending you a refund in the amount aboveWe have checked below the apparent reason for the over payment(3) Your policy was cancelled, and the return premium from the insurance company was greater than the amount necessary to pay off the loan amount. -Mr*** would like to know why was an insurance policy necessary if his payoff amount was much less than the actual cost of the insurance policy? Mr*** insists he had tried on multiple occasions (5-calls) to obtain a payoff from M&T and could not obtain oneHe says M&T finally provided a payoff, after he filed with the Revdex.com, and after they included new insurance policy escrow figures, which he believes were all unnecessary. Mr*** also stated he tried to tell M&T bank, that if he really needed to obtain this insurance policy, even though he was trying to payoff the mortgage since it was such a small amount, why couldn't he obtain it through his insurance company, as it would be much cheaperHe says M&T insisted since they were already working on it that he had to go with their policy and figures. -According to M&T's response letter dated 3/27/18: "As Mr*** failed to provide proof of new coverage when his hazard insurance was cancelled, M&T exercised their right under the original loan documents to obtain insurance coverage. Mr*** would like to know: does that document include the necessity for insurance coverage, if the amount necessary to pay the insurance premium was greater than the amount necessary to pay off the loan amount, especially given the consumer was seeking an accurate payoff statement? Why wouldn't M&T just let him payoff the mortgage balance and not obtain insurance coverage? - Mr*** would also like to know: If insurance was deemed necessary per the Deed of Trust, please tell him exactly what dates the policy covered so he can understand why he is being charged this large amount of money and why his refund is so little? Mr*** believes his refund should be much higher than the amount he received for a refund, which was $Mr*** indicated he never had an escrow account prior to this. -Mr*** did confirm with *** *** Bank, who issued the bank checks that he sent to M&T for $each, one dated October 2, and the other dated February 14, 2018, have not shown up as cashed(one you returned to him) He has not received the second check back from M&T, nor has it been returned as undeliverable mail, this check was dated 2/14/( a copy of 2nd ck is his documents previously sent with copy of first check) -Mr*** also stated he had concerns about the amount of interest he had been charged, year over year, on his mortgage as he indicated he paid monthly on the principal and also made large payments toward the"principal only" and he believes he was overcharged in interest as well( I informed him he would need to provide proof and I wasn't sure he could bring that up now that he paid the mortgage offI told him I thought he should have verified his year end statements, each year, against what he paid each year, as it may be too late to look into that

One of the pictures is proof that there was no pending transactions and that my account is positive on the other picture it shows you that I was charged an overdraft fee which shouldn't be especially if I have no pending transactions and the gtl was paid for already I'm hoping I won't receive
another overdraft fee for ic solutions

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThe automatic debit of the account was not from an external bank The payment was setup via mtb.com website My account on mtb.com was deactivated after loan was closed so I had no way of cancelling the automatic payment setup The statements made by mtb are untrue and why you would have to wait days after an ach transfer is garbage The money is transferred directly that day I was also told on the 22nd of December the check would be mailed right out and would take approx week to get Very poor and deceiving business practices! I called my account on the 27th and noticed there was extra money in there I spoke to a representative and asked if this was correct she said yes but then on the 31st they over drafted my account spoke too another representative who was very nice and she said there was nothing she could do so I
asked too speak to a supervisor who was very nasty and disrespectful and very unprofessional

Regards, I dont agree with the statements made by M & TThey claim that Tracey spoke with me and said my funds would be debited that is informationTracey did not say my funds would be debited Tracey said my account would be put on holdI had an available account balance above 13,plenty days after a day holdI also got a call from a security manager telling me capital one is recallimg your funds but we dont know who or where the funds are goingLets talk about weird and suspiciousAlso I had money way before I even had an account with M & T so how could you possibly say there was something wrong with a check when Tracey herself gy to thi ls issue stated to me on the phone "*** I am waiting for Capital One to send the check back to us so you can sign itI was told several times, and several days to hold on by TraceyI was also told that Tracey was not available or was on lunch when she was availableI also told the customer service number at M& T that Tracey is untrustworthy and that I dont trust here and nothing was doneI tried to call M & T Coorporate and got nowhere to complain about Tracey. *** ***

The response states that I was enrolled in electronic statements which is trueThese statements only give my balances and not changes in policyWhich is a mute point and a poor response from the bankI never received the notice of changes to their policyEven their policy that they cited said that you need deposits of more than and I had direct deposits going to that account in the amount of 1200. To make matters even worse, I've attempted to close this accountI was told that I couldn't close the account over the phone since there was still a balanceI was told that I needed to go directly to the branch to close itI drove hours to the Liverpool, NY branchThey also couldn't close my account because I had a recent transaction (that was no longer pending) posted that day and I would have to go back the next day or close it over the phone with a balanceI got my balance as close to as possible and again attempted to close the accountThey said they can't do it unless it is exactly $They said that if I didn't drive to the bank again to close the account that I would soon be incurring another $charge which would overdraft my account and result in an overdraft feeThese people are completely unreasonable and I've spent far too much of my time trying to get rid of these peopleI request the same resolution as previously statedIt was reasonable at the time and it is even more reasonable considering that since I submitted the complaint, I've spent about hours of my time along with gas/vehicle use driving to their branch as instructed.

There is nothing wrong with the power of attorney documentMy company uses the exact same document with hundreds of other banks, including M&TI request that M&T specify why our power of attorney document does not meet New York standardsIf it truly does not meet New York standards then M&T has violated the law on numerous occasions by accepting our document in the past with other clients we have worked cases forIn addition, *** *** and family have requested that M&T speak with me about the accountThey have done this over the phone and in person at their local M&T branchThey have also asked *** *** at M&T bank on numerous occasions to allow me to speak on their behalf* ***'s phone number is ***Mr*** has agreed to *** and family that he will speak to me about this account but then has refused to do so when I contact himM&T made the claim that *** and family did not report the fraud to M&T within the required time periodThis statement is not accurateIn their own words, in this Revdex.com dispute, M&T states that the customer is required to report the fraud to the bank within days of receiving the billing statement that shows the fraud in question*** and family reported the fraud to the police and M&T bank the very first day that they received a statement showing the fraudThey did this in person at an M&T branch. M&T also makes the claim that fraud regarding paper checks is not covered under the lawThere are numerous laws in place that require M&T to reimburse funds in this situationIn my experience, other banks recognize this and reimburse funds in a timely mannerM&T is the only bank that has given us such difficultyM&T is also required to provide, in writing, a statement that they are not reimbursing the funds which they have failed to doVerbally, Mr*** has agreed to a partial reimbursement of the fundsWhy has this offer not been made in writing? Further to my complaint below and attached filed this past weekend, today I received a threatening retaliation phone call from M&T Bank Rep Frank A(tel no ###-###-####) who announced himself as "M&T Bank Security" in retaliation for my having filed the below and attached civil complaints
this past weekend with your regulatory agencies, as well as with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Revdex.comIn this intimidating, threatening and harassing phone call, Mr Aproceeded to, in a contrived manner, tell me that M&T Bank was going to summarily close my account on August 29, and that I am not allowed to contact the branch or branch manager Lisa C., as this would be considered "harassment." The interesting thing about all of this is that I only contacted her once last week before filing my complaints, in a very professional and polite email, after she contacted me to tell me that an "office visit" was needed to take place first, so that I could receive my already ordered checkbook and debit cardMy sole and only email politely requested the status of the in-office visit, and my still not received checkbook and debit card - and this was clearly not "harassment." However, in what is an obvious act of retaliation for my having filed my complaints this past weekend, this threatening, harassing, and intimidating phone call from Frank Acame in today at approximately 11:AM, obviously in an attempt to "muddy the waters" and obfuscate the clear wrongdoing of Lisa Cand M&T Bank as alleged in my complaintIt should also be noted that yesterday I phoned the main number of M&T Bank inquiring as to the status of my checkbook and debit card, to which no less than different representatives and supervisors advised me to "go down to the branch and ask them about the status," which was now in retrospect an obvious setup, and to which I pointedly refused, stating that I did not feel comfortable or want to either speak, or deal with, Lisa Cor her other employees at that branch, because I dd not feel safe doing soI believe that this modus operandi is repeated with other customers who are at first wronged by M&T Bank's gross incompetence and criminal acts, and then they try and browbeat, intimidate and scare people (mainly racial minorities or people not aware of their legal rights) who file legitimate complaints with the CFPB, Federal Reserve Complaints Bureau, Revdex.com, and Department of JusticePlease investigate and advise, and accordingly prosecute them accordinglyKind regards, *** ** *** ***

Re my complaint against M & T bank. I have received cash payment in fullWhile I continue to object to their methods and their notification ( i.e
Lack thereof), I am not suffering a financial loss at this timeI returned the keys and was refunded cash for the remaining time on my safe deposit box rentalsUnless they attempt to bill me for something, I have no interest in pursuing this furtherIf I receive a bill I deem fraudulent, we can open a new case, but I am willing for this complaint to be closed. M&T is a professional real estate/mortgage businessWhen we first initiated our transaction they asked us, the inexperienced, un-knowledgeable, non-expert homeowners of what we projected to be our home valueWe took an educated guess based on credible web sitesM&T should have more common sense than to take our proposal as a basis to move forward with a refinanceM&T knew exactly what the true/ approximate value of our home was and should have informed us that our educated guess was not within a spectrum of true home value, but they decided to proceed knowing that we were not even close and would be easy money for themThey charged us knowing that our home value would be coming in much lower and knew beforehand that they would use this as an excuse to deny our refinanceIt's a ridiculous excuse and they should be ashamed for even attempting to use the consumers inexperience as a valid excuse to deny a refinanceThe web site is full of consumers with claims of fraud https://www.consumeraffairs.com/finance/m_and_t_bank.html and have even been involved in class action lawsuit due to their theft (purposely overdraft fees)This bank is now known for this type of business and it's a shame that they are even allowed to operateI will pursue other means of collecting my money and will ensure that I post on every possible web site to warn customers of M&T's fraudulent practices
