Paychex has received and reviewed your communication dated December 29, about the complaint from [redacted] ***Paychex takes complaints from our clients very seriously, and we appreciate the opportunity to assist in the resolution of any disputes that may occurMr [redacted] contracted Paychex to provide payroll services for Fun Unlimited of Utah’s Utah location in April In December 2015, he asked us to provide services for a second business location in IdahoMr [redacted] states that he received tax notices from the Idaho Department of RevenueWe asked Mr [redacted] to send us the notices to review; however, he has refused because he said that he had sent them previouslyHowever, we have no record of receiving them To resolve this matter, we contacted the Idaho Department of Revenue and confirmed the following: • On October 19, 2016, Paychex filed state unemployment insurance returns for fourth quarter and first and second quarters on behalf of Fun Unlimited of UtahOn December 6, 2016, Paychex also took responsibility for the penalty charge and paid $for the late filings • The Idaho Department of Revenue assessed Fun Unlimited of Utah a notice for missing returns for fourth quarter and first quarter and an estimated tax assessment for those quartersA levy for $was issued and subsequently pulled from Fun Unlimited of Utah’s bank account in July On October 19, 2016, Paychex remitted fourth quarter returns that showed a tax liability of $The Idaho Department of Revenue assessed penalty/interest charges of $and moved the remaining balance of $to cover the assessed tax for first quarter 2016; the agency has yet to receive the returnPaychex filed Form with the Idaho Department of Revenue on January 6, Once the agency receives the first quarter return, it will update the account and send a refund to the client We are willing to pay the penalty and interest of $resulting from this late filing as well as the bank levy fee of $We are also willing to pay any penalty or interest assessed once the first quarter Form is appliedIf you have questions, please contact me at [redacted] Sincerely, Tarey [redacted] Client Service Manager

I’m writing to follow up with you regarding the second complaint from [redacted] of [redacted] .We understand that Mr [redacted] feels Paychex is placing the blame on him, but that’s not our intentionMr [redacted] requested to cancel his account in November; however, we didn’t process this change until December 2, 2015, which caused a minimum monthly charge to be assessed to his accountWe refunded this charge in January.The payroll specialist incorrectly believed that Mr [redacted] wanted us to prepare year-end documents, which included Forms W-processingWe’re unclear as to why there’s a misunderstanding here because when Mr [redacted] contacted us about the charges for preparing these documents, we refunded him both the Forms W-processing charge, and the postage charge for sending them back to PaychexWe do apologize that the refund process for both the minimum monthly charge and the Forms W-charge took longer than expected for him to receiveAccording to the statement that the sales representative “lied” to him about the pricing in 2014, Paychex has that pricing proposal that is in line with the services that we were charging him forThe expectation is that the sales representative represents Paychex following the Paychex Values and Guiding Behavior policiesIt’s possible that the sales representative didn’t stress clearly enough that the discount was only good for three months; however, when Mr [redacted] called us in to inquire about the increase after three months, the manager extended the discount for a full year in order to make up for any misunderstanding, and in an attempt to provide the best quality serviceIf you have questions, please contact me at ###-###-####, ext [redacted] , or [redacted] Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I HAVE CALLED the number on the message [redacted] , ext [redacted] and the number does not exist I have left a few emails with the company and waiting for a response I did NOT receive the amount indicated that they returned, but rather a measily $ I have done some calculations on what should be returned There should be a $credit for the excess charges that were charged per month for the services I did NOT provide In addition, I was charged $for the month of Feb AFTER I cancelled Dec 31st I assume some of this is for w2, but was quoted plus $per employee in which I had which brings the total to $121.25, thus I overpaid again by $ I have also had a number of issues with late payements to MT revenue in which I have been charged $was to have that credited ( I made phoine calls regarding this with no answer) and this doesnt include my time of alsmot hours in phone calls, AT LEAST per pay period to get something fixed I have emails upon emails to prove all of the contacts I have made with this company with NO FIX So, for starts I would like to see $128.28+99.20+in a credit That doesn't include my $500/hr Dr wages of all of the phones calls and emails I have made., We would be in a $1000's I also want to be sure my W-2s are correct since I am still paying my CPA to sort through all the mistakes, and again, that is going to cost me a tons of money!
