Horrible company Waited over minutes in line at the counter Upon returning my car I brought it back completely full of gas Get an email stating I was charged a pre paid fuel charge of $which I never agreed to I contacted customer support, which gave me the run around and still won't refund me my moneyThey want you to provide all your gas receipts which is unheard of and ridiculous They won't even acknowledge that I never agreed to the pre paid fuel charge in the first place Quoted my price on priceline.com as $103, and ended up charging me $ Nearly 30% more than their advertised price

Take the bus or walk before you rent from Payless Car Rental!!! This company is absolutely horrible! I have rented from them twice, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, and both times I had significant issues The rental vehicles were substandard, I was charged more than originally quoted both times (and by significant amounts), and I am currently waiting (for over days now) on a refund for erroneous overpayment Customer service at the counter is great, but don't expect to receive anything more than a canned statement when you attempt to work with the online help desk I'm gravely disappointed with this company and certainly want to save anyone else looking for a rental car the hassle of dealing with them!

I rented a car in Los AngelesWhile on the road, at 4pm, I had a blow outI got out in the pouring rain to change it and discovered there was no spareI spent the next minutes calling the only phone number on the rental agreement, which was the number of the office where I rented the car I called times and each time got a busy signal or no answer I finally called the hotel where we were staying and they gave me the number of a towing companyI had the car towed into the nearest tire store because there was a hole in the sidewall of the tireI had a new tire put onWhen I went back to the Payless counter at Fox Car Rental at LAX, they told me that I had to get the money from the insurance companyI explained that I hadn't been in an accident, but he said that didn't matter I submitted the receipts and paper work to the insurance company and after three weeks was told that since the damages were only $and there was a $deductible that they wouldn't payI'll take the bus before I ever rent from these clowns

Hired [redacted] and Alpha Roofing and Construction to repair a leak in our roof and take out and replace drywall in garage and family room. Signed a contract and gave [redacted] $700.00,half of $1,400.00 the job would cost us. They came out to see what material they would need for the roof. Came back a few days later with a chalk gun and sealant and said the roof was fixed. Three weeks went by we hadn't received a call or text from [redacted] about doing the inside work. We texted him and ask when the inside work would be done? His drywall man came out 2 days later. He cut a hole in the ceiling in the garage and I ask him to remove the drywall. He didn't and he removed the drywall in the family room where we found active termites. Our exterminators came out and told us that we could use our contractors pay them and be reimbursed or use the contractors they had and not owe anything. I called [redacted] and he was aware how this worked but I told him I was leaning toward having our exterminator handle it

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Had the same problemDeclined everything extraWhen I got the final bill they charged me for road side protection.They gave me the name of the Manager, and said to call back and talk to her(Thy Din)You can never get an answer at the service desk, it always go to the call center numberI called customer service, got the runaroundI told them I had AAA and I did not agree to this extra feeThey will not take this extra fee per day off the billThey should call this Company .....PAY MORE!!

THE WORSTVery sneakyPay attentionI DECLINED insuranceBut when he asked me for several initials, obviously one was for insuranceHe then put everything in envelope, so when I returned I asked what the $charge was for and the RUDE attendant yelled "Insurance"Said they could not do anything and gave me a business card to open a "Ticket" RUN from this company

I went to Pay less Rent a Car because they accept local rentals and debit cards in the Philadelphia regionTheir rental contract requires the renter to initial several sections acknowledging you agree with their terms of serviceI was asked to initial (acknowledge) a product I wasn't being offeringWhen I requested to write N/A before I'd sign or to leave that section blank, I was given a VERY HARD timeThe employee threatened to cancel my contractMind you, it was pm and I was in the middle of nowhereSpeaking with the manager didn't make the situation any betterThe Manager, Brelle W [redacted] , said you weren't allowed to write on the contractsWhen I said "by initialing, I'm writing on the contract", she agreedThen she proceeded to make up a story to how writing N/A was prohibitedFinally she told me if I didn't like want to agree to signing, to rent elsewhere

Having made no changes or additions to my reservation, the total charges of service were 22% higher than the "estimated charges" advertised The discrepancy is due to the various "other charges" such as consolidated facility charge, vehicle licensing fee, roadside service protection and energy recovery fee that were not included in the advertised price All of these fees are assessed daily and should be included in the advertised price of the product

terrible experience nobody showed up at office, had to rent a car elsewhere and pay double the price the company has done nothing to remedy the situation I later learned that the office always open late, and often do not show up at all

Your explanation on difference between refund and net-due (that is negative) does not make any sense.
Simple English lesson here: Oxford dictionary defines "refund" as Pay back (money), typically to a customer who is not satisfied with goods or services boughtHowever, "Net Due" is: (money) required or owed as a legal or moral obligationIn other words refund may be is not legally-binding, net-due is legally bindingThis is not about me being not-staisfied with goods or services boughtThis is regarding return of money, as agreed, for goods or services not usedYou have already charged me $for one day usage of rental car, which is adjusted for early return, I am satisfied with that partThis is regarding the money for unused services which is correctly labeled as 'net due' -I'm not taking no for an answer on this issueAlso remember that longer this continues more costs you are incurring for my time dealing with this money due to me- I am losing pay from my employer for time dealing with this case
