Dear [redacted] ***,We are in receipt of the complaint sent to your office by ** [redacted] on May 27, .2014, We would like to apologize to ** [redacted] for any inconvenience he may have experienced at our Pep Boys facility ** [redacted] came to our facility and requested a starter installed, after we replaced the starter the vehicle still did not start** [redacted] was advised that he would need a diagnosis done to figure out what was wrong with his vehicle** [redacted] declined any further repairs and removed his vehicle from our facilityPep Boys rendered the repair requested, no refunds are dueWe again apologize as well as thank **[redacted] for allowing us the opportunity to address his concerns Regards, [redacted] Customer Service Coordinator

Dear [redacted] , We are in receipt of the complaint sent to your office by ** [redacted] on April 2014, We would like to apologize to ** [redacted] for any inconvenience he may have experienced at our Pep Boys facility** [redacted] brought his [redacted] in on 4/20/, stating that his fuel tank had something put in it like a powdery white soap like substanceHe stated that when he tried to put gas in his vehicle, the gas came pouring back out of fuel filler tube** [redacted] requested and authorized us to drop his fuel tank down and clean contaminated substance from gas tank and fuel filler tubeAfter the technician cleaned excessive contaminated substance from fuel tank, he proceeded to try and unclog fuel filler tubeHe was unsuccessful due to the contaminated substance solidified and became hard, requiring replacement of a new fuel filler tube** [redacted] was informed of our findingsWe attempted to help him out by trying to locate a used fuel filler tubeWe were not able to find a used part due to the age of the vehicleThe [redacted] dealer was able to locate a new part from out of state, but ** [redacted] stated that he could not afford itThe part is discontinued due to age of vehicle** [redacted] stated that he would come and pay for the authorized repairs done at our facility,, and would have his vehicle towed to another repair facility** [redacted] then filed the complaint, stating that we did not fix his vehicle, and was requesting a full refundWe informed ***, that although he authorized and requested the work, that I would refund the amount he paid** [redacted] came into the store on Tuesday May 6, and received his refundWe again apologize as well as thank ** [redacted] for allowing us the opportunity to address his concernsRegards, [redacted] Customer Service Coordinator

So I painstakingly download and aggravatingly transfer a pdf output of a pep boys oil change coupon to print it on another computer connected my printer, and run down to get my discounted oil change. The pb service writer says great ok a $20 coupon offering a $25 oil change. Oil change completed I return to retrieve my car and pay the bill only to find out it's now $50. Can y say bait and switch...? Fucin corp america this is where humanity is headed and you liberals wonder why people are blowing away unarmed citizens. Fuc the general public and my fellow man...

I am rejecting this response because:i took the car to pep boys with a clear problem which is manifested by check engine light on with code transmission causing sound on changing the gear ,they give me back the car with the same problem with check engine light is on,and winning sound still happen on changing the gear .this summary is mentioned in the first page which pep boys give me under the paragraph of general comment ,it say that the car came to the shop with check engine light is on with sound came from the transmission.they do something else to make more money because the code show that a trans switch need to be replaced which cost me only dollars.a guy working in the store (i keep his name confidential )told me that they do here transmission work.but to make more money they look for more costly project.all business reply is not true .I took the car very sad to what they do ,I told them in the store I will file complain to Revdex.com

Jun 9, Dear *** ***,We are in receipt of the letter sent to your office by *** *** *** on May 13, We would like to apologize for any inconvenience *** *** may have experienced at our Pep Boys facility.*** *** came in on November 25, stating that
her vehicle was making noise when turning, so we wrote a ticket up as a brake inspection and test drove the vehicle, when technician pulled the wheels off he noticed that the pads in the front were low causing the noise and continued the inspection and noticed that the rotors were below specification ,so we advised *** *** that she needed.A front brake replacement with rotors and she approved of the work of $which the labor was discounted from $to $and the pads were discounted from $to$ During the inspection we noticed that the rack & pinion boots also were torn and we recommended a replacement, But Ms.*** declinedWhen work was done we test drove vehicle and no noise was there*** *** called back a couple of months later stating that her brake pedal is going to the floor and her engine light is on soWe advised *** *** it had nothing to do with a brake repair*** *** than went to another facility other than Pep Boys, in February 201,and they replaced an air fuel ratio sensor master cylinder and a boosterThe air fuel ratio sensor has nothing to do with brakes and a master cylinder can cause a pedal to go to the floor, but it has nothing to do with replacing the brake pads and rotors three months prior.The technician at the other shop is stating that Pep Boys hyper extended the brakes to cause brake booster to go bad which if that was possible *** *** would not have been able to drive the vehicle for three months.The request for a refund has been denied.We again apologize as well as thank *** *** for allowing us the opportunity to address her concerns.Regards,
