Review: I received a coupon in the mail for Portrait Innovations studio in [redacted], PA. We went for our photography session on Saturday November 23, 2013 - Session ID [redacted]. We ordered photos included in the coupon, then also ordered an additional $70 in portraits in order to receive our original photos on a disk, which was put together as a "package deal". At no time during our session were we informed by [redacted], our photographer that the photos on the disk are copy righted and are unable to be used other than at home or in their studio. This weekend, I used [redacted]'s photo website to make a Christmas Collage. When I went to pick up the photos I was informed that I was unable to use two of the photos on our collage because they were copyrighted by Portrait Innovations. I then contacted a manager at Portrait Innovations who then informed me that although we were given the disk, the photos cannot be used other than "at home" or by them to create photo products. I explained at no time did [redacted] provide me with this information, nor did I sign anything stating that I agreed with these terms. Her response to me was "uh hum, I am sorry maam, but our photographers are taught to let the customer know this" I then explained I would be contacting the Revdex.com to file a complaint as I believe this to be fraudulent business practice. I feel as though they tried to upsell me to have us buy the disk only to find out at a later time I could not use it. Portrait Innovations could not resolve my issue other than to offer me a "free session", which I will not be using at any time in the future due to what I feel are fraudulent business practices.Desired Settlement: I consider this to be fraudulent business practice. They can have my photos back because frankly they arent very good and I did not even want them to begin with. I only purchased the entire package to get the disk of photos which in the end I cannot even use.

Review: We went here for my baby's Christmas portrait. We got one great pose and bought the package. Unfortunately, they could not print out our pictures immediately like they normally do (we were given no prior warning about this) and we were told we would be called when they were ready. I don't believe I received a call so I called 6 days later and was told they were ready. When my husband picked them up the image looked a little off and I thought the lighting looked a little bad. Still, it was light years better than all of the others that had a serious face so I thought maybe it was just not as pretty as I had remembered. The studio is a bit of a drive and I needed to get my Christmas cards out so I didn't think to question them. A few weeks later, my mom opened up the mug that came with the package that we ordered. The mug had a different picture on it, the pretty picture we had ordered. When I compared the two pictures they were almost identical, except the mug's was much prettier, with my daughter looking at the camera and with a bigger smile. I called the store to see if I could exchange the extra sheets of the incorrect picture with the correct picture I had ordered, or even purchase a sheet of the pose. I had many sheets left because I had mostly just needed the Christmas cards. The store told me I couldn't because I didn't purchase the CD and they didn't have the picture on file, but if I returned all of the pictures and cards they could let me exchange them. How can they exchange them if they don't have the file? Besides, I had already sent out my cards and couldn't get them back. She then said I could order a product with the picture on it. They had not sent me the email with this info. like they said they would so we had to call 2 numbers for the link. I could only buy things like mugs and ties and large, expensive canvases. If they can print on a blanket, they can print on paper so I can have at least one nice 5x7 to frame. They wouldn't acknowledge that they printed the wrong pictures.Desired Settlement: I would like them to acknowledge that they made an error and to apologize. I understand their exchange policy but am frustrated that they will not admit that they made a mistake. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth and it is sad-they have a wonderful staff but it is little details like this that makes me not want to return. If their equipment had been working the night we took the pictures or if they would have called me to get the pictures sooner I could have noticed that the picture was wrong.
