PLEASE learn from us and do NOT use these people!
We have given this place more second chances than they ever deserve...and they have disappointed us time and time againWe are finally fed up and are done! They fired the old manager (after he scammed us and others), and the new one hasn't been any betterDishonest, no integrity, NEVER keeping their word...and the WORST part is, they say they are Christians! What hypocrites! They had our car for days before a mechanic even looked at it! And then they had our car for weeks, kept giving us the runaround, and it still isn't done! One example: They told us to call at pm, and when we did they said they were closedWhat?! That is so shady! You're fired!

Ms*** came in on May 7, for a charging system testFrom this test we found that her car needed a new battery, as it was years oldWe sold her the battery, which she okayed. Ms*** also approved to special order a starter from the Honda dealership.
We did not do a diagnostics on the engine, nor did we charge her the $diagnostic feeThe oil change on her car was overdueHer oil was dark and black when she came inNow she says she needs VCT. To Whom It May Concern, My name is *** *** and I am the General Manager of the Precision Tune Auto Care on *** Dr*** SCIn response to the complaint submitted by *** ***, there are several
discrepancies, number 1, I personally pulled the master cylinder away from the brake booster myselfIt was then that brake fluid appeared running out verifying a leak at the master cylinderWere those repairs made at the shop across the street from me? I also informed her and showed her father before any work was performed what the issues were after the brake job was completed that she was also shown before an approval was given for the repairs she paid forThere is no warranty on wear items on any vehicle even from the manufacturer of any vehicleI clearly explained to her that I would warranty out the brake pads due to the fact that they were making noise for the second time however I could not warranty the laborI also went above company policy and gave her a written warranty month, 12,mile warranty on the brake pads and labor just to give the best customer service possibleI do not understand why she is upset with me when she clearly did not have the additional repairs performed by us and I showed her personal advisor the leaks from the master cylinderIn closing, I would like to state that our mission is to service each vehicle in a responsible and safety minded mannerWe also are known for our “if you cannot see the issue someone is quoting you to be repaired, don’t buy it”Excellent customer service is our top priority, and we also pride ourselves on informing the customer as much as possible, thank you General Manager *** ***

I am rejecting this response because:
As you can see in my attached photo, I requested an update on this matter via email on 4/18/and 4/23/but have yet to receive a response from Precision's corporate officeI'd like to believe
that a refund is being worked on, but have yet to receive any confirmation via email

I went to Precision tunes for an Oil Change and came out with a Messed up Oil Pan and Coolant ReservoirWhen they tried to repair the problem, my car was return to me with a Busted Motor Mount, Oil still leaking and a Passenger side Headlight flickering off and on from them Shoving the Power Steering Reservoir onto the Headlight wiring

Dear Ms***, we apologize for the situation that you are having to deal with at this timeWe understand the weather stripping came off the car and damaged the drive beltsAt that time, the car had been driven to Mooresville, NC and the
drive belts had been replaced by someone other than our companySomeone then attempted to drive the car back to Greensboro but broke down on the side of the highwayOnce the car was towed back to our shop, we found the engine had actually jumped time and the timing is completely shreddedUnfortunately, the weather stripping could not have caused that damage because the timing belt is behind a cover that is completely sealedThe cover was completely intact with no damage to itYou can't even see the timing belt with major disassembly of several componentsWe have not done a complete tear down of the engine but according to preliminary inspections it seems as though the timing belt was not properly installed when it was last replaced which is what has caused all thisYour daughter who is the regular driver of this car did say that she has had to put the weather stripping back in place on more than one occasionThis leads us to believe that this has been a reoccurring problem in the pastAgain, we are very sorry that you are having to deal with this problem but at this time, we can not repair the vehicle at our expenseIf you like, we can write a proper estimate of repair and see if any of our coupons apply to an engine replacement serviceThat is the best that we can offer at this time

The weather stripping my daughter replaced was not that one it was the one around the battery and it jumped time because the weather strip seized the motor I have not replaced a timing belt on the car if it was on wrong like you say I would not have drove the car a year and a half the car needs to be fixed by precision because they broke it there was no problems with the car when we brought it in to your shop other than a oil leak and a delay not the engine per your own records at last inspection by your techs I also have several witnesses people we don't even know from the gas station and your service manager stated I needed to get the car to him that why serpentine belt was replace not the timing beltYou are responsible for this car.I am not just going to let you trash my car and not fix it

Sir/Ma'am,First, please allow me to apologize for the amount of time and personnel efforts required in handling this complaint levied against our Precision Tune Store number ***In my previous correspondence with you I offered to refund the $labor hour for the front brake warranty as a good faith gestureAs I also stated previously Mr*** did absolutely nothing wrong much less fraudulent in nature in my opinionI can say this with confidence as I was at this store during the entire front brake warranty replacement, the rear brake clean and adjust and testing afterwardsWith that being said, in the name of customer service I will happily refund the full $spent for labor and the rear brake clean and adjust to Ms***We will reach out to Ms*** to ensure her mailing address is correct and a check in this amount will be mailed to her as soon as possibleAgain I apologize for the lack of brevity in this unfortunate situation, but I hope we can all move on happy in this situations outcomeThank you for your time and efforts.Very Respectfully,*** ***District Manager, Precision Tune Auto CareUpstate SC

We fixed it one time for free The other times we charged him We offered him to take it to a body shop for inspection and repair The last time he was here there were warn parts and it won't hold an alignment He chose not to fix it

The master cylinder and brake booster on my Honda CRV did not need replacingThe manager of Precision Tune, *** ***, fraudulently came up with the repair workThe master cylinder was not removed to allow the inspection of the brake boosterI have a detailed report from the *** Auto Repair store of suchIn addition to the business' response, the first time I took my Honda CRV in for warranty work the service/labor was coveredSo why did *** *** not cover it this time? It is because he said my car's mileage was over the 12,mileage warranty which was a lie. The over tightening of my car's rear brakes is what caused the foot pedal to go softThe brake fluid boiled sending air pockets through the line*** *** did not address that major issue in his response letter. I had to have the work on the rear brakes redone because of *** ***'s Precision Tune" shoddy incompetent repair work. I will be in your office with my documentation tomorrow, Friday, September 4.Thank you,*** ***864-***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I was told that I needed a new starter for my Honda and it was CONFIRMED that the starter was what was causing my car to make noises upon turning it onPaid over dollars to have the starter fixed and car continues to make clicking noise when turned onBusiness did not use materials and resources accessible to them to properly diagnose my car, causing work done and money given to complete a repair that was not nessasary for my carHad they used the databases they would have discovered other cars; same year, model, and type, were having the same issues and there was already a known culprit for the issueThis oversight caused them work they didn't need to do and money I didn't need to pay.
