I am rejecting this response because:
The only threats made were from the mechanics that were working at precision tune auto. One of the mechanics came and got in my face and stated that he has been shot beofore and that he served in the military insinuating that he is comfortable using fire arms to the point that Dave had to grab him and escort him out side. I took extream offensive to that comment due to all of the gun violence that the country has been dealing with. They are saying that they have employees that heard the confrontation, I was also on the phone at the time with my girlfriend and she heard everything that occurred. I have hid headlights, there is no way I can touch these particular type of lights without a special type of glove. When I returned to the shop after noticing he didn't do the job Dave told me that he would have to order that particular type of bulb because he didn't have any in stock and wanted me to bring it back in the am. So how could he have even done the job? He only started stating that he changed my driver side headlight after I asked for my money back until the job was finished.I have my work order and my receipt. At this point there seems to be a lot of he say she say. I have documents from their store to back up everything I'm complaining about. And it seems the real reason that they do not want me back on their property is so that they don't have to deal with their mistakes.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:

Roger called me and told me that a valve "broke when he touched it". The car was not leaking coolant until this point. The car was drivable when dropped off. After picking it up, the car is no longer drivable and has been towed  to another mechanic. We have to pay them to fix these guys mistakes, and the new mechanic also thinks we have been swindled.  As for the lights, after telling us he was sure that replacing the headlight switch and break light switch would resolve the problem ($400), after we paid and reported it not working, he said it was known issue that the lights blink due to the IGN switch. If that was a known issue it should have been fixed FIRST. We were not concerned as much about the lights, but the fact that we now can no longer drive this car. We have photos and videos that we are unable to upload into this form.

To Whom It May Concern:We are certified by the state of Washington to perform emissions test required forvehicle renewals for the state of Washington. The standards are based by theDepartment of Ecology in the state of Washington. The state of California hasits own emissions standards. Why would any...

person get an emission test done foranother state in the State of Washington? The vehicle in question has Washington State license plates. The owner’s address is in Washington. If he ispermanently relocating to California, then he will need to get an emissionstest done in California. No refunds will be given. After numerous conversations with Marlin H[redacted], he has stated that he is 100% satisfied with the service he received and the work that we has been done. He stated, it his father that is leaving these complaints about this situation under Mr. H[redacted]s name and has no control over his father. Mr....

H[redacted] was originally contacted Feb 3, 2016 at 8am to address the original concern that he had emailed us. He told us that it was not him leaving the concern, it was his father. We stated to him to please relay our concern to his father and so that we can resolve the situation. We never received a phone call from the father and then we received the Revdex.com complaint. Bellow I have attached a link to a company ([redacted]) that gives true market value estimates to customers that don't know how much something would cost and so that they aren't being taken advantage of. The average cost of this repair on his vehicle is $363-$562. We told Mr. H[redacted] about this link and he was fully understanding of it. It is disconcerting about the accusations of us taking advantage of the military considering that the owners of the company served in and have several of their children currently serving in the military. When Mr. H[redacted] brought his vehicle to us, he stated that it would die on him. After testing we found that his alternator was bad. We then gave him an estimate of the repairs and then asked him if he would like us to complete the repairs. He then told us to go ahead and replace the alterator at the cost of the estimate given and he will be back the next day to pick it up. At no time before or during the repair did Mr. H[redacted] show any concerns or disliking of the service that was given. We again contacted him after the Revdex.com complaint was filed to speak with him about this matter and he again said he understood the costs, repair and that he didn't have any issues with us, it is his father. Mr. H[redacted] has denied any request to get the fathers phone number and so that contact could be made with him. [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:While in hindsight it is easy to see that part had come in early, but the real fact of the matter is Precision Tune made us the bad guys when we aske for our truck to be fixed in a timely manner for a problem they caused.  As can be seen from the tone of the letter, we were the ones being made to sound unreasonable when they damaged our car and we were told to wait so HE could save some money - not at all what true customer service should be.  Additionally, I take great exception to the statement that I was confrontational, I simply asked why we had to wait because of a problem he caused.  He then raised his voice, began using profanity, calling us names and then stated he was cancelling the order for the parts.  Based on the statement that he was cancelling the order for the part, we replaced the part at our own cost.  This is not a business I will recommend to anyone. Sincerely,[redacted]

RE: ID [redacted]
To Whom It May Concern;
The customer fails to recognize the following facts:
1. Their 1999 Cadillac Escalade has 205,084 miles on it
2. It was suffering from multiple issues due to age, lack of maintenance and neglect.
3. Even though they...

were informed every step along the way that there was no guarantee, for the above stated reasons, we gladly rechecked it every time they had any concern. I spend a significant amount of time trouble shooting this vehicle and each time has lengthy discussions with both Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] going over results. Each time they tried to blame us for anything and everything that was going wrong with their car. I was not paid for this time and aggravation.
4. I allowed myself to be subjected to this blame game only because they were facing financial and medical issues.
5. I did not break/damage anything on their Cadillac, only reported the findings. They tried to blame me every time I called them with the results.
6. All the services we performed between May 7, 2016 through December 19, 2016 were justified to the customer at great length. We then proceeded with the repairs only after it was approved by them each time.
7. The customer was informed and given estimates for the additional work that is still pending.
Sincerely,
Roger L[redacted]

The customer came in for a A/C performance check when doing the check there has to be Freon in vehicle to complete. After installing all the necessary equipment to the vehicle and checking the pressures and level of Freon we determined that it could not be leak tested which is just part of the check...

without adding some Freon to vehicle. The customer was given a price at that time to add Freon and recheck at that time customer declined. So we finished the service and charged customer for work that had been done. Customer came in yesterday wanting the check again and he was told it would be the same price as before plus the charge for the appropriate amount of Freon he said that we should do the work again for free at which time I refused. We do not work for free, we are a business that works for a profit we don't do anything for free ! It is not our fault that he wasn't prepared financially to have the full service done. It takes time on a technicians part to hook up the machines and do all the necessary preparations to complete a performance check. We will absolutely not refund the customer ANY money he spent at this location.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I will not be bullied by this company. They made the decision to work on my car without explaining properly what it would cost to fix my car. Then changed the price after the fact. Then told me a blatant lie about being able to use the same diagnostic to fix my car. I still was not mad or being disrespectful to any personal of the company. I just wanted my car fixed, but Mr [redacted] feel the need to belittle and degrade me.
It's not right to treat customers that way and the company did nothing to resolve the issue. That's why I decline the offer. Now I just want my money back and to expose this company for the lies they tell.

The customer came into our shop for an oil change service and stated he had a head light out.  Upon checking the vehicle's lights, the driver side head light was out.  After the oil change service was completed, we replaced the head light.  Upon the customer leaving, both head lights...

were working properly.  After he left, his passenger side head light stopped working.  We explained what we did to replace the one head light but the customer was not happy with that.  The customer became very belligerent with our center manager and threatened him and several employees.  At that point, he was asked to leave and not return.  Because of the customer's behavior, there is nothing further that we can do and we ask that he not return to any of our repair centers.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:This was not disclosed to me when I had my vehicle service. And that was not an apologetic response..I will pursuit further action to have this matter resolve and use this as evidence for my case.Sincerely,[redacted]

It's rare enough to find honest businesses where a consumer will feel he/she is getting the best value EVERY TIME they visit a service center. And when it comes to the auto service industry, well, those business are a needle in a haystack.
But even more rare is a business that somehow finds a way to make a customer feel their priorities exceed the businesses need to make a profit. It's when a business finds the art in what they do.
Well done, Ken.

I'm sadden that the owner of the establishment would not accept responsibility for the damage and lied on the invoice to cover up what his technician did.  I want an written apology for the lying and the cover-up. It was only settled because I had pictures of the before and after of the damage...

to the car. While I'm appreciative that the corporate office opted to settle, the owner of the establishment should be held accountable for his actions.  Thank you

Brooks Plumbing gave us exceptional service with a prompt response and very reasonable cost. We had a plumbing emergency the night before Thanksgiving and thought there would be no way our kitchen would be up and running again in time to begin the holiday baking and cooking. Within an hour of calling Brooks Plumbing, the owner had arrived and had our plumbing problem solved quickly and with very little mess. I would highly recommend Brooks Plumbing and I myself will be using them again when we finish our basement and add a bathroom and bar area.

The customer took their vehicle to another location and the situation was handled.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

We did and do acknowledge the mistake. Mishaps occur in every shop across the country. People are human and sometimes err. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. It is not a common issue. In response to the customer's complaint, we offered to replace the cap, or to...

reimburse him if he chose to purchase one himself. We instructed him not to drive the vehicle with the cap missing. We also offered to tow the vehicle to the shop at our expense. The customer chose to continue driving the vehicle and declined our offer of a tow. Instead, the customer had a friend procure him a new oil cap and some oil. The friend, according to the customer, installed the new cap and put in the oil. When the customer arrived at our shop later, we readily reimbursed him for the cap and oil. However, when we checked his oil level, it was grossly over full to the precise extent of the oil the customer told us had been added. The customer blamed this on us.Whether or not anyone had to drive forty miles at night, disrupting dinner, etc., we simply cannot answer. We received the call in the morning expressing the problem, and the customer was at the shop by mid afternoon with his receipt expecting reimbursement. According to the customer at the time of the incident, a friend brought and installed the oil and new cap, and this was while he was at work. The complaint, while legitimate in terms of the incident itself, is exaggerated and embellished to cast a harsher light on the situation than was actually the case.We regret that this happened, although the extent of our mistake was that we forgot to install the oil cap. Again, we're only human. The customer did not lose any oil as a result of the mistake. There was no damage as a result of this mistake. There wasn't even a mess resulting from the mistake. The customer was reimbursed for any and all additional expenses. The simple act of replacing the oil cap would have resolved the issue in every respect. Over filling the oil was not our mistake.By way of resolution, in addition to the reimbursement already given, we will refund the amount of the service provided, which was $33.00, not $60.

I have spoken to the customer last week. We are in process of refunding the amount for the rental. I also have it set up for the customers to drop off the vehicle in order to have it looked at by a certified GM technician this Wednesday. I have all of the issues listed and all will be addressed by...

the GM dealership. After the GM dealership addresses all of the concerns we will continue with any repairs that are under Precision Tune warranty.

The customer drove 2000 miles on our repair and the brake hardware malfunctioned that we did not repair. In return that caused other stuff to tear up. I offered to pay for half of the repairs and customer declined. There is not much more I can do, the part that failed was factory part that we didn't...

replace.

On 08/17/16 Precision Tune Auto Care, located at [redacted],NC damaged my car on purpose in order to upsell their service and products.08/17/2016 we came to[redacted] to repair our breaks in 2007 Chevrolet Aveo LS, and we got them repaired in time, prompt, and professional manner. [redacted] recommended us to have the alignment done to improve the performance of car's steering system. To get this service, at the same day we went to Precision Tune Auto Care located at [redacted], [redacted], NC, XXXXX. It was THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, FALSE, and FRAUD service that we've ever got in our life. This nightmare included:1. Precision Tune Auto Care removed (by cutting) the whole section of our axle's left front rubber joint JUST TO SELL us a new axle!!! It can be clearly seen from the pictures that we took afterwards that the cut was very fresh and very even. That states that it was just done during the check up provided by Precision Tune Auto Care.2. Precision Tune Auto Care made a scratch on our left front brake rotor (with a sharp metal object) claiming that it was the result of an improper installation and the bad quality of brake pads to put blame on an unprofessional work of[redacted]. We have pictures showing the damage as well.3. Precision Tune Auto Care made our left front wheel loose just by unscrewing it! The car could loose its control with such action at anytime. It could have put two people driving this car afterwards in danger!!! We have two witnesses and another one from[redacted] store. The whole purpose of this FRAUD and FALSE service was to upsell our required service of 4 wheel alignment with installation of new axle and drivetrain "for us" making our estimate 508.34 instead of 59.90. We have estimates as a proof of these FRAUD actions. To attract us for their service and "being nice", Precision Tune Auto Care gave us a discount for their FRAUD service. Very fortunately, we haven't use the service from Precision Tune Auto Care and went to check our brakes with[redacted]. That's how all the FRAUD and FALSIFICATIONS of Precision Tune Auto Care were discovered and clarified.I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED in the "service" of Precision Tune Auto Care located at [redacted], [redacted], XXXXX. I HAVE NO BELIEF in professionalism of the people working at Precision Tune Auto Care located at [redacted], [redacted], XXXXX. Namely, this FRAUD service was provided to us by [redacted] (manager) and [redacted] (mechanic).I am very thankful that[redacted] could help us in that difficult situation by addressing the issue with no charge!Desired SettlementAlignment, performed in a professional way and replacement of damaged parts. Since the broken part cannot be replaced by itself, as it was claimed by Precision Tune Auto Care themselves, axle's replacement is required to resolve the complaint and fix the damage.Business Response Dear Customer, we do sympathize that you are having multiple problems with your vehicle. Once we received your first online comments about this matter, we have had our district manager review the camera footage from the day your vehicle was in and we can find no evidence of any kind of sabotage. We take this kind of thing very seriously. We as a company do not condone or tolerate that kind of action or behavior from our employees. We are sorry but at this time, with out evidence, we can not act on your comments. Consumer Response I understand your point about video monitoring. However, from our point, two persons saw the condition of the car before and after your inspection. In addition, we have an independent witness who saw car's condition and professionally inspected it before and after our visit to Precision Tune Auto Care, located at [redacted], [redacted], NC. The proof is shown in the attached to the previous message pictures and clearly describes the damage. All witnesses can confirm that the left front wheel was loosened, its rotor was scratched, and axle's rubber joint was cut. Therefore, we would definitely like to have an access and watch the video proof, which you are referring to, and to see if it confirms that the damage didn't occur at Precision Tune Auto Care, located at[redacted], [redacted], NC.

Precision Tune Auto Care denies any responsibility for stripping the oil plug and oil pan which had to be replaced at a cost of 944.08.Since I work from home, I never put more than 5000 miles on my car in a year, so I only get an oil change once a year at inspection time. Since 2011, I have taken my 2004 Volvo exclusively to this shop for inspections and oil changes. Prior to my last visit which was in May of 2015, everything was fine. After that visit, I started to notice oil spots on my garage floor, but since my car is now 12 years old I just thought it was probably a leaky gasket. As the months past, the oil spots became more of an issue, so I place a piece of cardboard under the engine to absorb it. Fast forward to this year. I needed to get my car inspected, but since I also needed new tires, I took my car to where I always buy tires. Then I went down the road to get a 4 wheel alignment at a different garage. While I was there, I asked them to also perform the inspection and oil change. I left my car, but soon got a call from them. They told me that when they pulled the oil plug, it was stripped and the oil pan was also stripped. They said that since it is aluminum it couldn't be fixed, and a new oil pan was needed at a cost of about $1100. I had them do the work. When I went back to Precision Tune Auto Care on [redacted] in North Raleigh to discuss my problem, they denied any responsibility and refused to cover any of the cost. There is absolutely no doubt that their tech stripped my oil plug; I hadn't brought the car anywhere else since 2011. Since I only have 100,000 miles on the car, the plug did not "wear out" as the manager told meI posted a negative review in Revdex.com and [redacted], and was contacted by [redacted] who is their Raleigh customer service representative. [redacted] stated they wanted to help me out, and asked me to send my invoice which I did. After not hearing from him for a couple of weeks, I sent him an email. Here is his response. "I apologize for any lack of contact. I am assuming by your email that you have yet to be contacted by my DM for the Raleigh area. In working with another customer from the same area, I just found out that our DM has been out for medical reasons for the past couple of weeks. I am very sorry I didn't inform you as I didn't know myself. I have brought this case to the attention of my company president for him to review. I regret to inform you that it's his decision there is nothing that we can do for you. He is basing his decision on the amount of time that has passed since your last oil change service. Also, an engine's oil pan is a wearable part in that removing and reinstalling the oil drain plug over so much time can and will cause the oil plug hole to wear out. This is caused by metal fatigue and weakening. I know this is not the answer you were looking for. Thanks so much for your patience in the matter. Again, I am sorry it so long to get some answers. If you have any more questions, please feel to contact me. I will try to answer them to the best of my ability." I understood that I didn't give them the chance to "fix it", but the issue was discovered by a different garage who advised me that it really needed to be replaced after the took it out. Please understand I have meticulous records for my car repairs, and I know with 100% certainty that they damaged that plug. They did insult me by offering a $100 shop voucher.Desired SettlementPay for the $944 cost that I incurred to get the damaged oil pan replaced.Business Response We do apologize but at this time we can not issue any kind of reimbursement for the repairs for 2 reasons. 1. any kind of warranty problem must be brought to the attention of our company prior to having anyone else replace it. 2. It's been over a year now since the last service was done. Again, we do apologize and sympathize with the customer but we can not accept responsibility at this time.Consumer Response RECEIVE BUSINESS RESPONSE : "We do apologize but at this time we cannot issue any kind of reimbursement for the repairs for 2 reasons." 1. Any kind of warranty problem must be brought to the attention of our company prior to having anyone else replace it. My Response to invalid point 1:As a consumer, I am entitled to take my vehicle anywhere for service. In this case, the damaged threads on the oil pan were discovered when the [redacted] Alignment Brake and Auto Repair mechanic removed the oil pan plug to change the oil. At that point the plug was out of the stripped oil pan. The Brown's repair technician advised that the plug may not hold if it was reinserted and that it really needed to be fixed before driving. Was I really expected to call Precision Tune Auto Care to have them come check it, or pay for the towing to their location? 2. It's been over a year now since the last service was done. My Response to invalid point 2:I have pasted my records below. You will notice that I pretty much have had my oil change and inspection done once a year around the same time. As I previously stated, after the last oil change by Precision Tune Auto Care, my car was leaking oil on my garage floor. I wrongly assumed it was just a leaky gasket. When in fact, it was the stripped threads of the oil pan that was identified then and not a year later. Also note that NO ONE other than a Precision Tune Auto Care mechanic has touched the oil plug since 06/27/2011.It is unfortunate Precision Tune Auto Care refuses to accept responsibility for the damage they did to my car. I am 100% positive it was their mechanic who did the damage during the 05/17/2015 oil change.Date Miles Service Station Work Completed11//04 4090 Volvo Dealer oil change and various "new care fix it"02/05 8069 Volvo Dealer oil change and various warranty work08/05 XXXXX Volvo Dealer oil change and various warranty work03/06 XXXXX Volvo Dealer oil change and various warranty work10/06 XXXXX Volvo Dealer oil change and inspection06/07 XXXXX AAA Automark oil change and inspection06/08 XXXXX AAA Automark oil change and inspection10/08 XXXXX AAA Automark oil change and inspection06/09 XXXXX AAA Automark oil change and inspection07/10 XXXXX AAA Automark oil change and inspection06/11 XXXXX Precision Tune oil change and inspection06/12 XXXXX Precision Tune oil change and inspection06/26/2013 XXXXX Precision Tune inspection, oil change and four wheel alignment07/08/2014 XXXXX Precision Tune oil change10/06/2014 XXXXX Precision Tune oil change05/17/2015 XXXXX Precision Tunee oil change and inspection06/18/2016 XXXXX Brown's Alignment oil change and inspection and oil pan replacement because of stripped oil pan plug threads.Final Business Response We are very sorry but our original answer still stands.
