Hello, Priceline has since resolved this dispute with me personally. Therefore, I would like to close this complaint as being resolved, please. Thank you,[redacted]

We are in receipt of the complaint initiated by the
above-mentioned consumer and appreciate the opportunity to respond.
According to the consumer, he/she submitted a bid for a 3 ½ star
hotel in the [redacted] area for the total charge of $53.54, and received
confirmation for a 3 star property.
Upon review of the consumer’s claim, we have confirmed that
the reservation was
booked for the star level selected and listed on the consumer’s contract page.
Attached hereto is a copy of the consumer’s contract page
authorizing the purchase of a 3 star quality hotel.

I am rejecting this response because: I did call explaining that my 81 year old other whom I was bringing to see her son, had deteriorated to a point that her physician suggested she not travel. I also called Southwest Airlines. They requested a physicians letter of explaination. I sent it. They care us full credit for our flights. The representative I spoke with told me that it would simply be held to use on a future date. That was it. Honestly. Priceline hides behind out of country phone banks and people who read directions off a piece of paper. I certainly did agree to the contract. However, at the time my mother was doing well and able to travel. It was medically necessary to postpone our travel.

They instead offered me a 5% off coupon which I am unable to use by the expiration date due to not having vacation time from work. We reviewed our records and found that free parking is available at the [redacted] however, free breakfast is not available at the hotel.
Regrettably, we have no control over the availability of amenities at the hotel
during a guest's stay. You will need to contact the hotel directly at ###-###-#### to discuss this issue.
If you choose a reservation where the hotel's name is not revealed prior to
purchase, we only guarantee that your hotel will have the amenities displayed
for your chosen star level. We are unable to guarantee that your confirmed hotel

I have been booking with Priceline for about three years now. MY husband and I travel alot because of our jobs. WE have absolutely no complaints about the hotels we've been put in, but as of the past 6 months to a year atleast three times we have been charged AGAIN two weeks later after our stay by priceline. When we call we are put on hold for 30-45 min just to speak to someone and for them to tell me it will be 3-10 business days before we get our refund back for THEM double charging me. Once, ok glitch in the system. Twice, ehhh maybe something happened. Third time, ok this is absolutely ridiculous !!!!!!!! I will Never be booking with this company ever again. I'm so upset I just cant believe this or understand it how do you accidentally charge someone AGAIN for hotel they've already paid for and stayed at WEEKS prior. Just doesnt make sense to me. This company is filled with nothing but money hungry disgusting pigs!

Priceline misled me to believe that I can work out
with hotel [redacted] to upgrade or modify my reservation to accommodate 2 adults
+ 1 child. But the hotel told me very clearly that my reservation through Priceline
CANNOT be upgraded nor modified in any manner. When Priceline selected [redacted] for my reservation, they should know this and should have warned me that the
hotel WILL NOT accommodate any request/upgrade for an additional guest.
Instead, Priceline provided me with the following generic statement before I
purchased "...Some hotels may charge an additional fee, payable at the front
desk, for bedding requests and/or extra people.....Accommodations for
additional guests or requests for specific bed types must be made directly with
the confirmed hotel and are not guaranteed by prieline".

Upon hotel room check-in/out the hotel representative provided the consumer with the lower negotiated room rate established between priceline.com and the hotel, which is not available to the public.
 
Priceline.com is a travel agent and as such, makes hotel room rates available on behalf of the hotels. Just like every other business, we receive reduced rates because we sell in large volume, and if you compare our rates, you will find them to be very competitive. We strive to offer customers the best alternatives for saving money while at the same time maintaining profitability.
 
I apologize if the consumer is disappointed with the difference in rates; however, Priceline will not be able to offer a refund for the difference in rates.

I am rejecting this response because:  I did not enter a $20 bid for a premium car.  I actually entered a $2 bid for a full size car and then a $4 bid for full size car.  After receiving a much higher recommended price,  I tried to get out of the site on my [redacted], the system defaulted to $20 and billed me.  I called the customer service telephone number immediately, but my request to reverse the erroneous charge was denied.  I dispute this charge and have shared this complaint with my hundreds of [redacted] Friends because this is an unfair business practice.  I did not pick up the rental on December 11, 2014.  Therefore, services were NEVER rendered.  I have reported this to my Credit Card company "[redacted]" and also submitted a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.

I am rejecting this response because:  Priceline advertised "cars available for rental at Orlando from $9/day".  However, upon investigating the cost of the car rental from Priceline, there weren't any cars for rent at $9/day.  I am not objecting to Priceline's terms and conditions.
