Personal Auto NAIC Code: *** Company Name: Progressive Premier Insurance Company of Illinois Mr***,I’m writing in reply to your inquiry dated August 28, As a consumer myself, I understand that what we pay for insurance is importantI’m happy to review Ms*** policy and explain why she has a balance. Ms*** policy term dates were from December 16, 2016, until June 16, Prior to Ms*** adding coverages to her vehicle she was paying $a month. On April 16, 2017, Ms*** requested to add Collision and Other Than Collision coverage to her policy, which caused a rate increase of $Because there were only two payments left on her policy term, April, and May, we broke up the $over last two paymentsI know billing can be confusing, so I’ve included a summary for Ms***’s last two bills $(endorsement) ÷ (remaining payments) = $56$Original April Payment$Half of endorsement owed$April payment due$April payment made$ Balance owed on April Payment$Original June Payment $Half of endorsement owed$ Prior balance owed$ June payment dueUnfortunately, we didn’t receive Ms***’s June payment, so there’s a balance owed of $Ms***’s policy expired on June 16, 2017.Ms*** also mentioned a 15-day grace period, which she’s correct aboutNorth Carolina does allow days to make payment without a lapse in coverageWhile there’s a grace period, we do have to report cancellations/expirations when they occur, and then if she makes payment within the days, we let the state know that there’s no lapse in coverage. I know this isn’t the reply Ms*** was hoping for, and I’m sorry for any confusion. Ms*** can call us at *** to make paymentIf you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 440-620-6940.Sincerely, Jeff ***Jeff ***Consumer Relations Specialist

Not sure if they think I wasn't in the turn lane but I wasI had complete control of my lane when their driver pulled out of his lane and hit me because he was too impatient to wait behind the people who were in front of himLike I told them he had about 2-cars in front of him while my lane was openHe hit me so far down the lane that when I stopped after getting hit I had already crossed the line into the intersection itself, even though I was slowed down in preparation for my turn

Progressive Northwestern Insurance CompanyMr***,I'm writing in reply to your letter dated July 5, I'm sorry for Mr***'s frustration with our estimate for the loss related damages to his truckTo address his concerns, I reviewed the claim, photos and estimateI hope this helps to explain our decision. We received report of an accident on September 8, We were advised that our customer's Ford Frear-ended Mr***'s Chevy Cpickup truck. There are no disputes regarding the reported facts of loss. On September 14, 2016, the Chevy Cwas driven in and dropped off at our *** Service CenterWe completed an estimate and determined that the damages related to this collision were to the rear bumper cover and to the left rear box sideThe estimate totaled $I'm sorry for any misunderstanding, but the damages didn't exceed the value of the vehicle.Mr*** didn't accept the estimate details and wanted to check into it further, as he felt the box needed to be aligned due to this lossMr*** provided a few names of shops that he contacted about completing this alignmentWhen we followed up with the shops that Mr*** contacted they advised us that the prior condition of the rusted box side may prohibit them from moving/aligning the box.We don't believe the accident on September 8, 2016, misaligned the boxIf it's misaligned, it's due to a prior unrelated conditionWe spoke with Mr*** about the estimate and the overall condition of his truck on September 14, 2016, September 23, 2016, October 10, 2016, and November 11, We asked him to take his vehicle to a shop of his choice to see if they'd be able to align the box side with the pre-existing rustWe didn't receive any follow up from Mr***, so we sent a $draft to Mr*** for the estimate amount.I know this isn't what Mr*** wants to hear, but we're unable to add any additional monetary allowances or repairs to our estimateOur estimate is fair, accurate, and covers the damages related to the loss on September 8, 2016.I've enclosed copies of our estimate and draft for your reviewIf you have any questions, please call me at ***Sincerely,Dan ***Dan ***Claim Manager

Name: *** *** Policy Number: *** *** *** *** Policy Type: Personal Auto NAIC Number: *** Company Name: Progressive Direct Insurance Company MrT*** I’m responding to your letter dated October 11, Thank you for forwarding MsE***’s concerns about her policy I’ve reviewed both of MsE***’s policy histories and because there have been many events/changes, I can see why this is probably a confusing situation MsE***’s prior policy (***, cancelled for non-payment on June 15, The policy was for a Ford Focus and carried the proper coverage for a leased vehicle After the policy cancelled, MsE*** went on line on June 16, 2017, and purchased another policy for the same vehicleThe policy rate for this new policy was cheaper because it provided very limited coverageWhen MsE*** called us on October 9, 2017, we reviewed the policy with her and provided proper council on the coverage changes needed to meet her need for her leased vehicleWith her authorization, we made the appropriate changesWe also noted that when she purchased this policy, she coded her prior insurance history incorrectly, so we made the correction, which provided a cheaper rate I can see, given the many recent policy events, how MsE*** could have many different prices and monthly payments for recollection and I’m sorry for the frustration this has causedWe are available 24/to provide counseling for her insurance needsShe can call us anytime at *** Another option, MsE*** may want to consider, is the resource of a neighborhood, independent, authorized Progressive insurance agentIf she’d like to call me I can provide a listing of our available agents in her zip code/areaSometimes a face to face experience is the better option and makes our customers feel more comfortable with their insurance experience I’m happy to help in any way I canIf MsE*** has any additional questions, or would like information for our authorized insurance agents in her area, please have her contact me at *** Sincerely, *** *** Nancy A*** Consumer Relations Specialist

*** Re: File Number: *** File Name: *** *** Claim Number: *** Policy Type: Personal Auto NAIC Number: *** Company Name: Progressive Mountain Insurance Company Ms***, I'm writing in reply to your letter dated January 24, 2016. Based on our investigation, we determined both drivers are percent responsible for the lossOur customer informed us that he had his door open to the traffic side of the road and Ms*** struck it as she proceeded by on the streetMs*** advised us that she didn’t see the door open and explained that someone opened it into her vehicle as she passedWe reviewed the police report, statements from both parties, reviewed the street to understand the scene, and inspected Ms***’s vehicleWe haven’t been able to inspect our customer’s vehicle. We contacted Ms*** to explain the rational for claim resolutionThere’s a dispute on the position of the door prior to impactIn this case, with the information we have, we aren’t able to determine the correct versionBased on the police report, the impact to Ms***’s vehicle and our customer’s statement, we determined that the door was openThe police report narrative clearly states that Ms*** didn’t recognize what she struck until she stopped to look back. Although our customer had his vehicle door open to moving traffic, Ms*** is responsible for proper lookout and taking action to avoid the accidentTherefore, we found Ms*** percent at fault for the lossMs*** advised us that she doesn’t agree with our decision and will pursue her damages with the aid of legal representation. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Progressive's response does not resolve my issue; in fact, it only confirms my complaintProgressive insists on the fact that I was at fault for the accident and I 100% do not agree, nor should I be faulted with it on paperI did not need Progressive to recap the scenario as I've heard it all before when the "closed" the claim investigation. There were witness on site but I didn’t go through the process of collecting information, perhaps my biggest mistake in all thisAfter the accident, I had two crying babies, a freaked out dog, and a wife that was shaking from fearCorina had admitted to us that she didn't see the light red or green so I thought this was a "no questions asked" type of dealI did not think I would need witnesses at the time because she had owned up to the mistakeHad I known Corina was going to turn around and lie about it, sure I would have dragged my crying family through the grueling process of trying to find witnesses to validate my claimNext, I get that Progressive can't choose to believe one person or the other which is fine (it's terrible of Corina but that's on her conscience, not Progressive's)My problem with Progressive is that because someone is lying, they throw out the ONLY factor that can determine true “at fault.” If you know someone is lying on the ONLY determining factor, you can't just pick someone to pin it on based on other ARBITRARY factorsOtherwise you run the risk of pinning the accident on the person not truly at fault, which is the case nowI was driving defensively and took evasive action and am getting punished for not having superhuman reflexes (I played college basketball in the NCAA so I know my reflexes and peripheral vision are above par). This investigation is flawedThe claim process is asking both parties to draw on memory to pick up tiny details that we're not equipped to addressFor example, Progressive wants to use speed limit to pin me for the accident (again this is not a deciding factor since she was in the intersection illegally to begin with)I didn't check my speedometer before hitting Corina so they're asking me to GUESS at what my speed isIt could have been 35, it could have been 30, and it could have been In the heat of the moment, who really knows? In busy areas, it always seems faster than you're really travelingWhen I asked my wife to recap what happened to me (after I had already spoken with Progressive), she thought I was going much slower than I can also say I’ve never had a speeding ticket as I’m not someone to typically drive above the posted speed limitAsking someone to guess on their speed limit, is all relative to the person and the environmentCertainly Corina was just guessing as wellIn fact, the speed limit on Keeaumoku is 30mph; had she been driving the speed limit, she would have cleared the intersection and the accident would have been avoidedThis is the same logic that Progessive is using to pin the accident on meIn recap, if you can’t determine who was at fault because someone is lying, then mark the claim as undetermined and don’t tag either individual with the accidentThis is straight wrong and Progressive’s coin flip is pinning the accident on the wrong policyPeriod

According to the information I supplied during my application, I never indicated a multi-policy information and I never indicated that I completed an advanced defensive driver training as claimed by themWhat I included was in response to a completion of a "defensive driver refresher course within the past years." I even explained to them that I recently had my driver defensive refresher training from the *** *** organizationMy employee number is ***. I really do not understand why in the first place they claimed to change my policy for a multi-policy that was not justifiableLet them please explain to you what particular information in my application that specifies multi-policy holdingMay be they don't understand the meaning of the prefix "multi." It's a pity or they are just finding ways to exploit immigrants? Within the same month, they effect another change in respect of an 'advanced defensive driver training.' Are these people really educated? What do they mean by "advanced?" Did I sign for anything like that, they must be stupidHow on earth someone bought a product or service on line and the total cost was based upon information supplied at that moment, and no statement indicated that within such and such period if you don't provide us with such and such document, then we will effect changes on your policy on the first monthThen after paying for a six months policy in full, how can a late payment of $be charged against such a customer? They might be drunk and stupidThis is the way business companies like Progressive destroy people's credit or image in this countryThis act is even worst than a terrorist actThe reason I said this is that, progressive has being a caused to millions of deaths in this United StatesThat is, exploiting customers to a degree that they cannot afford money to buy food because of their exorbitant hidden claims on their policies.I will mail or email a copy of the information I supplied in my applicationThey never provided such an information
to you for referenceI am even ready to go on television and on radio, social media to prove my caseI am as well ready to take a legal action against the company in order to interpret business ethics to them.I thank and appreciate your effort.*** ** ***
