I am writing in response to the above-mentioned complaint. Our records indicate that on October 11, 2013, Ms. [redacted] purchased a three year subscription to Yoga Journal, a two year subscription to Wine Enthusiast and a one year subscription to Nutrition Today Magazine. As indicated on our sales...

receipts, we advise to allow 120 days for delivery of the first issues. At the time that Ms. [redacted] had submitted this complaint, she had not yet allowed the proper time stated on our sales receipts for delivery.  We anticipate delivery of Ms. [redacted] First issues well within the 120 days as outlined on her dales receipt. The recipient we have on file for delivery of these Magazines is as follows:[redacted]If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.Sincerely,[redacted]

They use smart door-to-door sales people with a clever pitch to sell you magazines at a HUGE MARKUP! Its a BAD deal! Neighborhoods should actively protect their residents and tell these sales people to move on and stay out!

In the summer of 2014 a young man rang my bell and gave me the hard sell for magazines - he said he'd just been released from prison and although trained as a welder in prison was having trouble finding a job due to his record. He claimed that he was bussed from [redacted] with a large group of young men to sell magazines in [redacted] as a way of making a new start on life. He was well trained in sales & persuasive. I agreed to take a subscription and he showed me the price, but when he wrote up the sale - the price included a hefty "service charge" that he had neglected to mention. When I said I was no longer interested he said he could wave the service charge. He then said if I paid by check, as was my plan, that he would not make any commission on this sale - so I paid by cash. He gave me a receipt and was on his way. Six months went by and no magazines arrived. I figured I had been scammed and that was that - till I found the receipt & emailed a copy of it to the company - the person I communicated with apologized and said they would give me an extended subscription. That was 11 weeks ago, and today I received my 1st issue. I would never buy a subscription this way again, but I am happy that the company stood behind the receipt - even if the sales man pocked the money and never turned in the order.

[redacted] is a awesome man he has a plan and very ambitious young people need to listen to him it takes help to recognize your good deeds for others we don't all come from the same backgrounds so it was a pleasure to make a difference faith the size of mustard seeds moves mountains God bless his heart help this young man out.

Sadly I read the reviews a day after the fact. The review about the sad background story and trying to get ahead could have been written by me except I live in CT. I did feel pressured and now I feel duped for being so gullible and taken advantage of. She was a good salesman and I feel I was fooled. I may go to the bank and discuss canceling this check but I probably won't because maybe it will help this girl and I do believe in Karma. She may be legit. and the company is taking advantage of her or if not...Karma. I have learned from this experience and hope whoever reads this is helped. Those negative reviews were all accurate.

I am writing in response to the above-mentioned complaint. Our records indicate that August 19, 2013, Ms. [redacted] purchased a one year subscription to Unique Homes Magazine. As indicated on our sales receipts, we advise to allow around 120 days for delivery of the first issue. We have confirmed with...

Unique Homes Magazine that Ms. [redacted]' subscription will start with the January 2014 issue which should arrive by January 15, 2014. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.Sincerely,[redacted]

I am writing in regards to the above mentioned complaint. It appears that there was an error in the...

processing of Ms. [redacted]'s order. You see, our records indicate that Ms. [redacted]'s order was for [redacted] Magazine and not [redacted] Magazine as indicated in her complaint. Due to the circumstances, we feel that the best resolution to this matter would be to provide Ms. [redacted] with a refund of her order. I have enclosed a check in the amount of $53.00 for this purpose. Ms. [redacted] had indicated that her check for the order was written for $63.00; however, we have verified with our accounting department that it was only written and presented for the amount of $53.00. If any further information is needed, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

RE: [redacted]

I am writing in regards to the above-mentioned^omplaint.

Our records indicate that Ms. [redacted]'s order for My First English/Spanish

Dictionary was shipped out on October 09,2012 and would have been delivered

shortly thereafter. As Ms. [redacted] has indicated her order was not received

and because [redacted] does not hold tracking information for a shipment that long

ago, we feel that the best resolution at this time would be to provide

Ms. [redacted] with a refund of her order. I have enclosed a check in the amount of

$45.00 for this purpose. If any further information is needed, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

A clean-dressed, fast-talking and otherwise very friendly and polite gentleman purporting to be "working his way up in life for his little girl whose mother is incarcerated" showed up at our house tonight at 9pm. He claimed to be Jason G[redacted] and he was selling magazine subscriptions to "help the kids". He held a stack of papers, clipped together with binder clips and claimed "most of your neighbors purchased 6 subscriptions". None of the people on his list were my neighbors. He carried on and when I asked how much it would cost for 6 subscriptions he said $580.00. When I told him I couldn't afford that amount, his demeanor did a 180 and he stomped off--irate and yelling and kicked out plants in our yard on his way out. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THESE THIEVES. SHADY, SHADY, SHADY.

I am writing in response to the above mentioned complaint. It appears that there was an error in the processing of Mr. [redacted] order for Family Handyman Magazine. Due to the circumstances, we feel that refunding Mr. [redacted] for the total amount paid for that publication would be an acceptable...

resolution to this matter. A check in the amount of $52.00 will be mailed to Mr. [redacted] for this purpose. We have also enclosed a copy of the refund check for your records.  If any further information is needed please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I received the first month's issue of the magazine Dec. 30th, 2013.   I was surprised due to the inablity to contact the company, as well as the lack of knowledge anyone had about the company.  Whatever, I may not have noticed the stated time frame, but 3 months seems like a long time to start a subscription to a magazine.  Thanks for the help of the Revdex.com in Phoenix, who must have had an impact in my regard.
Regards,

A young man from PS Circulation came to my door to offer his products. I told him I had the flu and that the sign hung on a nail on my door clearly said "NO SOLICITORS". He talked over me, was pushy and refused to leave, so I told him, "Sorry", and closed the door. He lingered at my door for half a minute and then left. Later on I discovered that my "NO SOLICITORS" sign was missing. No one else had been to my door. I'm accusing this young man of theft.

I am writing in regards to the above-mentioned complaint. The receipt number Ms. [redacted] provided in her complaint has been reported as belonging to a stolen PS Circulation sales receipt. The independent contractor listed in Ms. [redacted]' complaint, [redacted]s Mayhue, used to be authorized to clear...

orders through PS Circulation. However, Mr. [redacted] agreement to clear orders through PS Circulation was terminated on April 5th, 2013. Any orders placed with [redacted]s Mayhue under the name of PS Circulation after the date of April 5, 2013 are fraudulent orders and were not authorized by PS Circulation. As such, Ms. [redacted]' order was never received for processing nor did PS Circulation receive any funds for the order. We will be happy to honor the subscription to Showboats International Magazine that Ms. [redacted] indicates was ordered and would expect delivery of the first issue within 8-16 weeks. We would also suggest that Ms. [redacted] contact her local law enforcement agency to file a report against the individual who fraudulently solicited her using our Company's information. If any further information is needed, please feel free to contact me.Sincerely,[redacted]

I recently had a young sales woman appear at my door selling subscription to magazines. Since I mentioned I didn't read magazines, she mentioned we could donate. I donated $66. I am wondering if the Memorial Hospital in Boulder CO will ever get those children's books I donated, especially after reading all the complaints. I really wish the U.S. Government would do something about this since they are transporting people across state lines with the intent of committing fraud. Please, do not give or do business with this organization. I did feel sorry for the young lady who appeared at my door because she seemed down on her luck. The sad part is she is being scammed by the scammers.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I ordered "PC World" magazine on May 15th of this year and received "Macworld" 3 1/2 months later. I immediately cancelled and am due an $18.00 refund from the publisher after one issue while the subscription cost $44.00 + $15.00 for processing and handling.

I really wish I would have checked online before ordering anything. From now on I'll ask anyone going door-to-door to come back after I have time to check. I already to this for non-profits who call.
