Quality 1st Basement Systems

We have a wet basement and hired Quality 1st to install their water proofing system. They completed the initial installation timely and said it will take several days for basement to dry. 5 days later the pipes they installed remained completely dry and our basement was still very wet. We called them back, explained that the water is coming up from the middle of the floor across the entire basement and the perimeter pipes they installed are completely dry. They came back out and installed more pipes but not deep enough. The pipes actually sit above the water under the basement slab. I explained and showed them this and they still did not place the pipes correctly. Causing them to come back a third time. This time the work was so inferior I spent 3 hours shoveling out dirt/sand and stones out of both of my sump pump pits. The company only dug one pit and installed one pump-They insisted I do the other one (at my own cost) and run the evacuation pipes externally!. Both pumps were so clogged with dirt they are now useless. All 3 times they came out to do more work, but not the work that will actually dry out the basement, I've spend hours cleaning up after them. I am disputing the initial $5000. with the bank as we will not pay for a system that doesn't work. Luckily for us there was a computer glitch and we weren't able to sign the contract on the 2nd $5000. This company guarantees their work which is why we hired them, but 12 weeks later we have structural damages and an even wetter basement. We are seeking advise from a lawyer which will cost us additional monies. Additionally-Kyle (the superviser) has made multiple appointments with me and no-showed more often than not. We do not agree on what needs to be done to make my basement dry and I will not allow him into my home again. I made a grave error allowing them to dig up my basement a third time and now I have to deal with the consequences. I thought they would try to honor their warranty.

Juan G & his crew did a great job waterproofing our basement as well as extending the downspouts with lawn extenders. They had to remove & replace the pavers in the front walkway- but everything is as good as new. They got here at 9:45a.m. & worked for approximately 8.5 hours ensuring that everything was done to my satisfaction. Clean-up was done throughout the process. (They even made sure that our underground electric dog fence was working well before they left. I informed them about its location & provided additional wiring & electric tape for this task.)
Jack *** was our sales person & he made sure that I understood everything before signing on. I loved the fact that Quality 1st sent a book explaining everything before we met so that it was easy to talk about what we wanted done.

Quality 1st was exceptional from our first phone call and meeting with Ken *** the Senior Design Specialist to the completion of the job. Brett and the two men working with him for the installation of our sump pump were respectful of our building covering things up before they did their work and cleaning up once they were done. Even though they had 23 inches of concrete instead of the typical 4 they did not show frustration. I would highly recommend this company for the quality work they do but also very importantly the professionalism and pride exhibited by each employee for their work.

Water has been my Achilles Heel. So when we considered putting our house for sale, I contacted Quality 1st for a proposal to seal cracks in the foundation wall.
Jonathon *** gave me full confidence the proposed repairs would eliminate my issue with water seeping though the cracks during heavy rainstorms.
The crew got here on the scheduled day, but was much later than initially promised (mid-afternoon instead of early morning.) In fact, I was concerned they might not be able to complete the work. The crew was courteous and worked hard to minimize the dirt associated with the repair. (I had already moved and covered stuff. But they made sure walkways, etc also didn't get dirty.) The job was done in far less time than I had estimated.
The following week, after a heavy rainstorm, I noticed the last crack repair had the appearance of wet concrete. (The other two showed no signs of dampness.) I immediately worried the crack and not been properly repaired and shared photos with Jonathon. He assured me the work was fine after checking with Production.
But what I really wanted - and got during a phone contact -- was assurance the 5-year warranty was real and could be transferred to the new owner.
This wasn't the low-cost bidder. But I wanted to be sure I wouldn't have any further worries. Jonathon gave me that confidence.

Prior to Quality 1st Basements I used a competitor, it was a disaster. Quality 1st Basement came in and rectified the situation. Their workmanship was extraordinary, finished when they said they would, cleaned up as if they weren’t there. I am a Realtor and have recommended Quality 1st Basement to two of my customers, both thanked me. I will recommend them every time a customer has a water problem in their basement.

Quality 1st Basements did an outstanding job leveling my basement slab using polylevel. They arrived on time, were professional in demeanor, worked diligently and finished the job within 4 hours. Clean up was excellent with very little left for me to do. I recommend them for anyone needing a concrete leveling job, especially a basement slab.

I found that technician was courteous and pleasant. The work was done and no mess left behind!
