Thank you for reaching out. I apologize you are concerned with the work we did for you. I looked at the before and after photos and it's hard for us to see what you are speaking about so I would like to arrange for someone to come meet with you. I know photos only tell you the picture from the angle they are taken so maybe looking at it from another direction will help us see what you are talking about. IF there is something we need to adjust I am happy to do so. We want you to be happy with the work we did for you. We will call you today to make an appointment to come look at the work and hopefully you can be there as well.

Thank you

I hired Quality 1st basement to lift my sinking garage back on June 2018, service completed just this Sept 27, 2018. The company crew never completed the service and the project was not met. Sales person Jeff P mislead me about the actual crew's skills and knowledge of this company crew regards to the product and project. My garage goal was never met, they left me w/ 1 inch lower/sunk. Plus they damage the concrete outside my garage that causes my garage door unable to close. They came back and broke the concrete after 2 mons so my garage would close but left me w/ $800 cost of damage that I have to hired someone to pay out of pocket. I have given this company a lot of patience but at the end they trying to get me out of what I signed for..

Thank you for reaching out. I spoke with *** who was on site one of the work days with you. I understand we did do some work which you were not completely happy. I understand our team returned to meet with you and go over the work along with Sha C who was there to assist in doing the work. At that time Sha C said you were happy and happy he was there to go over the work.

We then get this report and another report on customer lobby. Did something happen after we left? I think you have to agree that when you called us the first time we agreed to return and meet with you and we made adjustments to make sure you achieved the results you wanted. I know Sha C went over the agreement with you which said we were not responsible for concrete that cracks during the lifting process, but Sha C replaced it for you just to ensure you were happy with the work we did for you.

Please let me know if there is something I am unaware of. At the end of the day we are here to help, which is why Sha C was with the crew when we returned to adjust the work. Please feel free to call Sha C to discuss the current situation. IF you prefer to speak with me please feel free to email me a good time to call you. [email protected] and I will be happy to speak with you.

Thank you

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

Mr. C

Thank your for reaching out. Allow me to explain the situations. I hired your company through Jeff P on June 3, 2018. I accepted the price I am bound to pay with the amt of $3638 after Jeff explained that my garage will be lifted and leveled as an agreement. I was also aware that upon this process there will be a "risk of cracks" in the actual garage concrete. My cousin who was an engineer was present at that time when we met Jeff, so all these risk of cracks was already anticipated and expected. In addition, I was told by Jeff that in other to prevent this "risk/cracks" in the concrete, I will be provided with the two team which mean “two truck” will arrived to my house in order to prevent the anticipated risk.

On July 9 (the day to lift the garage floor), one truck arrived with one person name "Richard" and one assistant (which I cannot remember his name) who was preparing the equipment. Richard supposed to arrived at 8:30 a.m BUT he arrived to my house at 3:15 pm. He asked if he can come late due to "another small job" he had to do and he wants to finish it quick”. I made it clear that as long as my garage was “not being rush and the job will be done right” so I agreed with his assurance. To make the story short, Richard started drilling my garage floor. He rush the job, drilled to0 close to the garage apron and lifted the floor. And because of these, the job was not complete. Your two crew left my house July 9 leaving me unable to close my garage door.

I notified Jeff P and these were Shac*** got involved. Aprox Jul 23, again 1 truck arrived, these time with three person including Shac***. I understood that he lifted my garage, cracks was not prevented. Again, I understood that part. In summary, Shac*** did not met the agreement I signed with Jeff P when I hired your company. The point was my garage still had 1" sunk and Shac*** was fully aware of it.

On Sept 29, After a few weeks of waiting, not to mention with multiple cancellation from your company, your crew finally arrived to fix the damage your first crew (Richard) made in my garage apron. This time they came around 10:20 am. Two of your crew showed up then Shac*** around 2:30 pm. Your crew showed up with ONLY 10 bags of cements expecting to fix my Garage apron considering my garage apron size was 9x3.5 feet by 12 inches dept. Shac*** was well aware but rather decided to recycle my concrete and patch the deficit materials.

With all do my respect Mr. C, as a professional, your crew had left my house not even felt any obnoxiousness nor attitude on my behalf. I neither complained nor made a big deal about the concrete cracks which as your company claimed "expert" should have been avoided. I been patience and waited, missed my job as an emergency responder due to your company cancelled and reschedule my appointment in a short notice.

As a customer, I payed your company for expertise and service. I payed for my garage to be lifted and leveled. Your crew had made a mistake damaging my garage apron.

And you must know, Shac*** and his crew was very unprofessional by tell me that “I will have to pay more if he push more foam” to the ground. He told me that I payed per pound base on Jeff P price me as agreement. He threatened me about the contract I signed. He refused to fix the 1" suck left in my garage. In addition, he also told me that Jeff P your salesman oversold me the service but has no knowledge of any reality of the actual work.

Mr. C, I do have pictures of my garage and my garage apron. I also have total of 18 surveillance camera by nest including the two camera inside my garage. I'm not here to take advantage of your company nor have anytime for these inconvenience your company have given me. As a customer, I'm just doing my rights to express my opinion and to let other people know about my experience with your company.

I'm just blessed that Revdex.com are here to hear my voice as a consumer.

P.S I will be posting the pictures as well.

Regards

I would like to thank you for helping me resolving this issue with Quality 1st basement. If it wasn't because of you my concerns would have probably not heard. We are so happy with our basement. We received the waterproofing and the refinishing service. Our Design Specialist Mike *** was so informative and able to answer every question and guided us through the process from start to finish. Wilver and his crew are the most talented, hardworking people I have ever met. They did such an amazing job I feel like I have a new house.
Quality did everything they said they would do and exceeded our expectations.
I would highly recommend this company.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us ***! If you ever need us in the future please don't hesitate to call! We look forward to servicing your system soon!

4/25/2017, I contracted 1st Quality to repair the uneven concrete walkway around my pool.
With two months after completing the work,I notice the concrete started to sink at the deep in
of the pool (creating a lip, were you can trip and fall in this is very dangerous). That is what they where hired to repair, and it wasnt. I called them the part of August for them to expect it, they come
out to examine and acknowledge my claim. The repairmen wanted to wait to the first of 2018, to repair the walk way which I did. MAT 2018, I called their office to schedule an appointment. The appointment was for the first week in June (I believe 7/9/2018, no one came out, or called me) I called the office June 11, and was told it wasn't schedule for any repairs, although they acknowledge my issue. The manager would call me back to correct this matter. ( he never call me ).I called the office June 14
to make another appointment, this time July 9th. And again no came out to the house or call me.
And again the same excuse, I was not on the schedule and the manager will call me.

our supervisor said he just spoke with you and I guess there was some confusion about the dates but he said you guys confirmed our appointment for tomorrow.

I agreed to a completed basement refinishing with this company in March, with the expectation that the work would be completed by the time we moved into our new home at the end of May. It is now June 4th and the inspection application has not even been approved. I paid for 50% of the project upfront over a month ago. When I call there company I get put on hold for large periods of time or transferred into peoples voicemail without returned calls. I have been apologized too on multiple occasions by the sales rep who initially sold me the refinishing system, and promised that his superiors are on it and will return my call, but no one has ever contacted me. For the amount of money I agreed to pay, I would expect a better level of customer service and at least a return phone call for a status update. At this point, I want to cancel the whole thing.

Quality 1st Basement Systems Response • Jun 07, 2018

On 6/5 The customer was provided an start date of their project.

We certainly apoligize for any delays in communication. We actually had to thank the customer for calling and expressing his concerns. With our new phone system and CRM we found “holes” where notes and messages were no properly populating to employees so they could properly service the customer. We have since corrected the programming and have the customer set.

I am rejecting this response because:

Although I did finally get a call back from the company, I have not yet been given a firm start date. I was apologized to several times and was told that they would make my project a priority, but the project still hasn't approved for a permit by my local township and they have not provided me an anticipated start date as of yet.

Quality 1st Basement Systems Response • Jun 11, 2018

I will ask Dan M who you spoke with last week to call you tomorrow. He is off today. I went thru our calls and I see he notes your install date is July 11th pending the permits which should be in by that time. I see he also discussed that there is 1 project in front of yours and if it should be completed sooner we would reach out to see if you were available for a sooner start date. I apologize if that was not clear in your phone conversation, but we will call back to reconfirm this.

My wife and I entered into a contract with Quality 1st on March to have them instal some of their DryTrak along a wall in our basement. Since that time, Quality 1st has cancelled the original appointment we made them and a second appointment we made with them. The reasons given were, for the first instance, they didn’t have the needed material, and the second instance, they ran late on a previous job that day so could not make our scheduled appointment time. Now, in full disclosure, we had to cancel our third appointment since it was on a Saturday we had relatives coming to visit and I’m not about to put MY life on hold for any contractor, especially one that seems as unprofessional as Quality 1st. Hopefully, they show for the FOURTH appointment we have set up with them nearly two months after entering into a contract with them.

Hi ***,
We want to make sure all of our customers have the best experience with us. Please give our office a call at 1-800-290-2930.

I hired Quality 1st Basement Systems to waterproof my basement. I borrowed $14,000 to have the work done. They placed new drains and a sump pump. Now there is just as much water in my basement than there was before the "repairs" were done. Now they want $5,660 more to fix what they didn't fix the first time. There is 2'' of water sitting directly on top of one of the drains that were put under the cement. The water is coming up right through the floor instead of the drains removing the water. The sump pump and drains along the outside perimeter are higher than the cement floor so water coming up through the floor can't get to the drain or sump pump. Water continues to come up through the cement and flooding my basement. The work failed inspection 3 times. Their solution was to re write the "plans" so it fit what the inspectors wanted.

I am rejecting this response because:The service manager did come out to assess the problem with my flooded basement that they "fixed" 4 months ago. He promised that the work crew will be here next week to "do what it takes to get my basement bone dry and stay that way". I have hopes that they will follow through but until the work is complete, I prefer this case stays open.

I am rejecting this response because:I received an email stating that my complaint has been resolved. It has NOT.

Please be advised the only reason we have not been able to do the work we want to do is because of the weather. With the heavy volumes of rain and snow its preventing us from completing the work. We have advised the homeowner, been communicative and we have all intentions of making the adjustments we need to.

Tell us why here...

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:Hi. The last response from the business (Quality First Basement) again promised that the problem would be resolved. I accepted this response because I believed the company was acting in good faith and would complete the work. However, they have not fulfilled their promise. It seems that the more work they do in my basement, the worse the situation gets. The drains they put in are now drawing foundation fill from under my crawlspace causing yet another room of my house to become unstable. They keep promising but I are not following through. They currently have not even scheduled a date to complete the work. This is after I paid them $14,000 Back in October (5 months ago).

Regards

Avoid at all costs!
I'd give less stars if I could. I had contracted Q1 to do repair/waterproofing work on my foundation. Because the foundation is on the lot line, we needed a license from the neighboring property. The license gave them 9 months to pull permits and get in and do the work. They bungled it and were late in getting the permits let alone doing the work. We had to renegotiate the license which cost me real $ and time.
OK, so we get a new license in place Q1 gives a date 4 months off when they can get in. No problems. As the date draws near, we follow-up with them to make sure that all is on track and receive no response not from the sales person, Jeff ***, not from the GM all of which we contacted personally via both phone and email. We tried calling the scheduler and got "oh he's not in, call back after 4:30". We call back at 4:35 and the office is closed/no one answers the phone. I got the same run around trying to call Bob ***, the GM, as well: "He's out this week, he'll be back Monday", call Monday and get "He's out this week." The only communication we get is from the expediter who only says that Q1 changed the architect on the job and that they have to pull new permits. Ok, so we're hustling with the outside expediter Q1 hired to pull new permits quickly. We hear from the expediter that permits are supposed to come out Monday afternoon... the same day that Q1 was supposed to start the job. Still no coherent or meaningful response from Q1. We check with the expediter Tuesday morning what's going on and they let us know what Q1 has put a hold on all paperwork.
Eventually, later in the week they were supposed to start the job, we get a note from Bob ***, Q1's GM, letting us know that both they and their original engineer are under review from the NYC DOB and can not perform work in New York City and as a result are refunding our deposit.
Our interaction with them cost us real money and time and provided no solution. Over a year of time and several thousands of dollars and not so much as an apology or a referral to an alternate provider. My foundation still needs to be fixed.

Quality 1st Basement system signed a contract with my husband and I on repairing our basement. Since the repair needs access to the neighbor's property, we needed court order to permit access. We have worked with Quality 1st Basement System about 1 year to finalize a work date after we obtained the court permit to access. Quality 1st Basement System first delayed significantly on the NYC DOB permit application because they are not fully meeting DOB's requirements (according to them they needed to take additional classes to be qualify). Due to that, we have spent thousands of legal fee to work with the court to get new permit/extension of permit. When we were about to start work per our next schedule on October 23, 2017, Quality 1st Basement then said they could not start the job because they are under investigation of NYC DOB. They did refund our initial deposit after more than 1 year, however, they did not compensate us with that. In addition, they did not return our numerous emails and phone calls when they couldn't fulfill their service on the promised day. Quality 1st Basement systems refused to provide proof that they are under investigation of DOB. They are poorly manage their staffs and communication to consumers in addition to their poor services.

Quality 1st Basement Systems Response

To Whom It May Concern,

As stated in the complaint we did work with the customer for about a year to get the ball rolling on this project. The customer and their neighbor were going thru the legal system to resolve some matters. Thru this process it delayed the project start times multiple times. It is unfortunate these delays happened, but it was part of the process. Since then, a project review of our engineer has begun on one of our projects. While this review is in place we are not to do any similar work at this time until the review is completed. We understand the sensitivity of this project to the customer, so we refunded their deposit in full so they may proceed with work from another contractor. We do not know the length this process will take nor felt it necessary for the customer to wait. I certainly understand their frustrations and apologize.

Quality 1st has refunded all monies to the customer.

Kenny T set up the original system and it is working great. Working with him now to add on a dehumidifier. Great service.
