I believe I spoke with this customer and he is satisfield.  A new DVD has been shipped to him.

There were delays in receiving all the footage from the local videographer used to shoot the Hibbing reunion.  However, everything is now put together and the [redacted] DVDs will be shipped out this coming Wedesday, November 30th, 2016.   If this customer would prefer not to wait and would...

All the [redacted] DVDs are being shipped tomorrow, January 14th, 2017.   There was a long delay in this production due to not receiving all the files from the local videographer that was hired to do this job.   Our standard policy is to always offer full refunds to any customer who chooses...

not to wait if there happens to be a delay.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11126408, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Geaux
Construction did not fully perform work on my property as Mr. D[redacted] states.  See Guaranty Sheet Metal Works, Inc. roof
inspection report already submitted. I paid $2,200 to Guaranty Sheet Metal, and
$360 to Charles E[redacted] for remedial work to bring the roof to code and to
repair my property after Geaux left my premises. I am totally willing to
pay him $1,690 but he has never been responsive to my emails and has not
communicated with me since early November.  Attached are my emails
to Mr. D[redacted], dated November 10th, 20th, and
25th, 2015. I received no response from him. His statement in number
3 about not hearing from me is erroneous. I was not in town during any
of the time Geaux Construction was at my home, a mistake on my part.  Mr. D[redacted] had done minor repair work on my
roof prior to replacing the roof. Therefore I felt he was trustworthy.  
After
the job was over, I met with Mr. D[redacted] in early November to address the
unacceptable state of my property and hand him a couple of bags of screws and
nails that had been left all over my property (and which could have injured my
dogs).  He suggested that Geaux should
give me $250 to have my gardener clean up Geaux’s mess and damage.  It was at
this time I decided I needed a roofing inspector.  Mr. D[redacted] became confrontational, and tried
to pressure me to pay him the full amount of the balance of the contract, less
$250.  I paid Mr. D[redacted] $5,000, and held
the rest until such time as the results of the inspection became available. 
My
gardener was present during my November walk-through and had even communicated
his concerns to me about the mess and unprofessional conduct of Geaux prior to
my arrival in New Orleans. I communicated this to Mr. D[redacted] in a text, dated
October 16, 2015, and copied here.
Please
let me know what day you will be completely finished. My gardener who also looks
after my house called me yesterday very concerned about damage to the garden:
nails ( he picked up 15-20 himself)and caulking all around and some of my
stepping stones split and other issues about your work that he felt damaged my
property. I had asked and you had agreed to cover all my plants. It doesn't seem
that was done. Someone needs to go thru all the ground over to remove any nails
or screw or anything else there since a tarp was not put down as well as

The
roofing inspector from Guaranty Sheet Metal did not find Geaux Construction’s
work on my home to meet International Building Code standards.  Attached please find the building code. 
To
the best of my knowledge, Geaux Construction does not have a license for home
roofing work.  Oral representation of
this was made to me by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors.  Guaranty Sheet Metal, as evidenced on their
license (attached), has a specialty in roofing.  Mr. D[redacted]’ comment
about having just 'another contractor' come out to my home, is misleading and
not accurate.  Clearly this company is a
leader in roofing inspection and was referred by House Call Home Inspection, the
company who did my home inspection before I purchased the house in May
2013.It is interesting that Mr. D[redacted] thinks that I should have asked
him to include drip edging, apron flashing, etc.  Since I am not a roofing professional, I
cannot directly address best practices and industry standards from my own
knowledge.  I had trust in Mr. D[redacted] to
be knowledgeable about such things.  I
hired a roofing inspector, after finding Geaux Construction’s work not
acceptable.  My big mistake was not to do
proper due diligence in researching this firm, which is why I have made this
complaint.  I am currently following up
communication with the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors regarding
Geaux Construction’s licensure. 
I
have not been offered a warranty on work and materials, which I now understand
is industry standard.  I believe that the
roofing materials have a warranty on them through the manufacturer, but as I
could not get Mr. D[redacted] to respond to me, I was unable to obtain from him any
proof of the roofing shingles and other materials that were used.  Therefore, I am concerned about my ability to
produce proof of materials used, should I have a need to avail myself of any
warranty which exists on materials.
I
want to make sure others are aware of my experience with Geaux
Construction.  I encourage them to
research any firm they are considering working with, more than I
did.

A DVD was mailed to [redacted] at the address he provided.    If he still hasn't received his DVD, please let us know.

This DVD was mailed out a few days ago and should have arrived by now.

We did not show any record of this order, so there must have been a mistake on our part.  A new DVD will be shipped out today and should arrive in 5-7 days.

There was  a delay in getting the footage from the local videographer that was hired for this job.   If a customer wishes not to wait, we always offer a full refund.

1. DO NOT CASH OUR CHECKS UNTIL YOU SEND US YOUR PRODUCT.  THAT IS VERY INAPPROPRIATE, TO FUND YOUR SALARY AND THE PRODUCTION COSTS ON OUR VIDEO FROM THE MONEY YOU GET FROM OTHERS, AND TO HAVE OUR MONEY PAY FOR YOUR OLDER CUSTOMERS.  YOU'VE GOT A GOOD THING GOING HERE; YOU NEED SOME CAPITALIZATION FROM A BANK AND A BUSINESS PLAN.
2. DO NOT TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS UNTRUTHS ABOUT COMPLETING AND SENDING YOUR PRODUCT, WHEN WE ASK "WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG (ABOUT 100 DAYS) AND WHY DID YOU CASH OUR CHECKS?"
3. I REALIZE THAT EDITING AND PRODUCING A VIDEO IS A LOT OF WORK.  
4. UPDATE YOUR OREGON CORPORATE STATUS.  IT IS ILLEGAL TO DO BUSINESS AS AN "INC" WHEN YOUR CORPORATE STATUS IS "SUSPENDED."  FURTHER, YOU FACE PERSONAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS SUCH AS OURS.
5. THE COMMENTS ON THE INTERNET ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS ARE ENTIRELY CORRECT.

The [redacted] DVDs are scheduled to be shipped somewhere between January 2nd and January 10th.   We always offer full refunds to customers who would prefer not to wait.

There were delays with this project that was beyond my control.  The DVDs should be mailed by Wednesday, January 20th.  Our policy is to offer a full refund to anyone that does not wish to wait for their product.

I've been in touch with the reunion committee and gave them an update.  All of the Richfield DVDs are scheduled to be shipped on Monday, February 13th, 2017.

This DVD was just mailed recently and should arrive any day.  If Mr. [redacted] would still prefer a refund, please write "refused" on the package and it will be sent right back to us.  Sorry for this inconvenience.

There were delays with this project.  However, all the Rincon DVDs were just mailed out recently 1st Class Mail through the US Post Office.   We always offer full refunds to any customer that does not wish to wait for their DVD in case of a delay.

I finally received the check on Saturday, obviously not timely considering when [redacted] told you he would mail it. However, you may close the complaint now and add it to the long list of complaints hat Revdex.com received about this business over the past three years.
