As you requested, we addressed this matter directly with Mr. [redacted] on February 27, 2018 by telephone. We provided Mr. [redacted] information regarding his dispute claim. To Whom It May Concern:We received complaint # [redacted] filed with your office by [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] mentions that NetSpend is unwilling to pay money owed to him. He’s requesting a refund of $184.81 as well as any additional fees. On September 29th, a transaction from GCI*MSCN-FRND-WB...

for $184.81 was charged to Mr. [redacted]’ card. He spoke with customer service and was informed that he needed to send in confirmation from the merchant, advising that the transaction was cancelled or voided. No documents were received to release the pending charge. We released the funds back to his account on October 5th as a courtesy. Our release is not a void or cancel of the original transaction. If that merchant collects the funds later, Mr. [redacted] will have to either work with the merchant to retrieve his funds, or file a dispute against the transaction. NetSpend regrets the inconvenience that Mr. [redacted] experienced while attempting to have his pending funds released back into his account. I am rejecting this response because the company continuously averts the real question. The question has always been about the time on the day my direct deposits are to be posted. Per my payroll department deposits are posted by noon and on rare occasions no  later than 3 p.m. My payroll department said they do not have any control over when my financial institution posts to my account. With Netspend being the financial institution I am not receiving my monies when they are available. Several times my monies have been posted as late as 9:30 p.m. I have e-mailed and contacted Customer Service several times only to get the response that my direct deposit has been posted on the day it should have been rather than answering why funds are posted so late. They would also tell me they could not tell when my company sent a check. This all electronic. After I filed my complaint the gentleman who responded left me a voice message that my payroll posted at 9:30 and that they posted to my account at 9:38.. This is inaccurate especially when I first opened my account with Netspend my deposits were made by 12:06 p.m. and then they started to being posted later and later as time went on. After questioning about the time approximately an hour later my deposit would be there. I want a resolution. That resolution being that my monies are in my account when they are available. I expect to see my direct deposit for tomorrow (March 22) around noon. Thank you

Ms. [redacted] states that a refund to her card caused it to be blocked along with other funds she had deposited to the account. She wants her funds released. On April 29, 2015 three credits posted to...

Ms. [redacted]’s account from Target. Our system automatically blocked the account because there was no corresponding debit for those amounts with that specific merchant. Our Risk Management Department requested that the credits be reversed back to the merchant. Target reversed the credits on May 6th and Ms. [redacted] has complete access to the funds on her account. NetSpend regrets the inconvenience that Ms. [redacted] has experienced as a result of the merchant credits. She has been given our information should she have any additional questions or concerns. I am still concerned that the name [redacted] was attached to my address and netspend told me to activate the card and use it with someone else's name on it.
