Review: Through an e-mail advertisement, I tried a free trial pkg. of Regal Cigarettes. I didn't like them so never ordered or received any more.

A couple of months ago, my bank ([redacted]) called to tell us about a check for $119.00 taken from our account by Regal. The bank said they would take care o the problem and they did. We cancelled my credit card number because of Regal.

Now 8/19/13, the bank called and said the check cashing company called Shazam paid Regal $123.27. We had never received or asked for any Regal cigarettes. We are on a fixed income and 69 years old. $123.27 means a lot to us (groceries, gas, etc.).Desired Settlement: Please give us our money back. We don't have your cigarettes and don't want them. This is the second time this has occurred and is bordering on harassment. Please just give us back our money and leave us alone.

Dear Ms. [redacted]

Review: I received an email for a free offer from Regal Cigs. I had to pay $4.95 for shipping and I would receive their free starter kit. I looked carefully for terms and conditions as to whether or not I was going to be charged anything else after receiving the product. There was nothing that stated I would. I was surprised to see not only 1 charge for $119.95 for my "free" kit but also a 2nd charge for $69.90 on an auto ship they sent to me. I returned the product and reached out to their customer service department to get a refund and was enraged to find out that they would only offer me 25% of my money back. They are dishonest and misleading with this so called free offer. I see I'm not the only one who was unfortunate enough to have agreed to give them my credit card info. How is it legal for them to do this? I am working with my credit card to have the charges removed but I don't want anyone else to be scammed like I was. That's why I'm filing this complaint.Desired Settlement: $189.85

Dear Ms. [redacted],

Review: I was offered a free trail product pack from Regalcigs for shipping and handling 5.95. This was offered as a gift from another company transaction. I received the product and a couple of weeks later I notice that the company is started a recurring billing of 119.95 for the product. I never approved any recurring service or charge. If it was in the information it was intentionally made unnoticeable. I thought I was being appreciated for my business. But, what instead I was being setup for the scam to get money out of my account. What's worse is when I called the customer service number they would not refund all my money. Instead, they are allowing me to return the product for a 20% stocking fee - 23.99. This is paramount to stealing money. This a scam and this company's recurring scam practice should be shutdown.I see online I am not the only person they have scammed this way.I want all my money back. They can have their 'product' back. But, I don't want to give them another cent and I want all my money back.Desired Settlement: Refund all my money.I'll return their product.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I recently contacted you about the Regal company and their unethical business practices about lying that I closed my account and therefore I had to pay approx. 33% more for the products which I already had on auto-shipment. They danced around the issue and then when they saw they were getting nowhere, they lied again and said that my credit card expired and that is why the account was closed. This is not true! I am still using the same credit card, with the same information as I did when I placed my order with Regal. You (Revdex.com) decided that this case was addressed by them sufficiently and closed the case. I am not satisfied with this company and they way they lie to get more money for their products. This is unethical. I do not want to do business with the company any longer as they have lost my trust and respect.Desired Settlement: I want you to keep this on file as a mark against them so others know of their deceitful business practices. They simply cannot get away with lying and thinking it is okay and that is the way to resolve their issues.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I called the company to ask a question about my current order and was told by the phone representative [redacted]hat my account had been canceled! He explained that this was probably a glitch in their system and in order to reactivate my account, he had to charge me more that what I had agreed to pay with my first verbal sales agreement. The cost was ~33% higher than the original agreement. He refused to give me the terms of the original agreement and said the only way he could reactivate my account was to charge the higher price. I was so upset that I then canceled my order. Now I am stuck with the e-cig kit that I have no use for since I no longer want to use their brand due to this "glitch" and refusal to honor the original terms of service.Desired Settlement: I am asking that the company refund my purchase price of the kit since it was because of their faulty business practices that I decided to cancel all future orders. I am willing to return the kit if they want it back.

Dear [redacted]

Review: I purchased a trial of their product and recieved the product by mail 6 days later. Thinking that I had 2 weeks trial from when I recieved the product, I started to use the product and called within my 2 weeks to send the product back. I was told that the trial period was over and I had already been charged the total price for the product. Also when the product arrived there was no information with the product concerning any trial period, restrictions, or any vital information for the consummer. Looking back at the order confirmation, way at the bottom it only said trial period: 14 day,and states that I will be emailed when order is shipped, which I never recieved. I believe that when ordering by agreeing to their conditions online is a way for the company to charge the consumer full price without the consumer realizing their liability. In my opinion, this is taking unfair advantage of the consumer and is why I am submitting this complaint.Desired Settlement: I will return product and they will refund total price

Dear [redacted],

Review: One day while completing coursework on my college website a box popped up asking me to take a survey about the college. As an involved student I opened the site and answered a few questions. After the survey was over another box opened telling me to select a product from the list at no charge for the product only shipping and handling. The product I choose was for an electronic cigarette from the Regal Cigs company. My account was charged the shipping price and the product arrived a few days later. I opened the product but have still not used it at this time. Later in the month I noticed my banking account balance did not seem right. Upon investigation I noticed a charge on my account for the product. I notified the company's customer service department with great dissatisfaction. The company did give me a return number to ship the product back but will only be refunding 75% of the original price with shipping in 4 weeks time. This does not seem good customer practice and I am very dissatisfied in the way the product was advertised. The questionnaire website said nothing about charging for the product or additional charges for additional supplies the customer service department said would be shipped and charged to my account at a later time. The advertising of this product and customer satisfaction is about as low as I know. Extremely dissatisfied and poor product representation with advertising.Desired Settlement: I not only would like to see a 100% refund from this company but would like to see Regal Cigs not be able to advertise through false advertising on educational sites. Knowing this was not an official site of my educational institution even though it had contained the headers used by the institution and looked official. Is no educational website safe from poor phishing advertising?

Dear [redacted],

Review: I ordered a sample of this product once. It was returned unopened but they keep sending more. When I try to contact them they make it another order. My credit card has been stopped and this has been reported but they send more.Everything has been returned unopened at my expense. I need the shipments to stop.Desired Settlement: The shipments stop and I get my $93 back.

Response:

Hi [redacted] - thanks for sending this again, I don't see it in my spam or inbox. I took a look at the notes on this account. Customer returned the items and was refunded less the restocking fee on 5/17. I went ahead and refunded the restocking fee on one order, but can't on the other since she filed a chargeback on that one. Once a chargeback as been filed, the bank determines if she is due a refund, not us.

Review: The issue I have with this company is ordering their product online ([redacted] pop-up. The pop-up is saying click here for your free gift, which only cost you shipping and handling, which was $3.96. On 10/7/14 $1.99 and $3.96 was taken off my credit card. On 10/27/14 $119.95 was taken. First of all their terms and agreement states that after trying the product and like it your credit card will be charged. I NEVER RECEIVED THE PRODUCT all together they charged me $124.90. It has been over a month since I called them and still have not receive anything.

onDesired Settlement: At this point I want the shipping and handling, taxes, and the $119.90 back totaling $124.90 . I would not want this to happen to anyone else. This was almost like identity theft to me, and at least I can complain until this is resolved.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I received an interruption to logging on an internet site. It came on with music and a voice saying " You have been randomly selected to take part in this anonymous survey. Tell us what you think (internet site I was in) Hip2save.com in this 30 second questionnaire and to say thank you we will offer you an exclusive reward worth at leat $50." There were 4 simple questions and then if offered one of three different products for shipping cost only. I looked and choose # 3. It was "Smoke anywhere electric cigarettes. Regular price $79.00. Your price is $4.95 shipping. Quantity left - 2. No where did it say trial. I gave them my credit card info and address and email. They charged my account $4.95 on December 27, 2013. I received the product. Fifteen days later they charged my account and additional $119.95. I called company and they said it was a trial and that I needed to send it back if I didn't want it. They also would charge me a 20% restocking fee. I told them that nowhere did it say this was a trial and that I would charged this additional $119.95. They said that it did state that it was stated right under where I gave my email address. I told them that I never saw this and that I was going to contact the Revdex.com. The man said that they had an exemption given to them by the Revdex.com. I just laughed and told them I didn't think so.Desired Settlement: I want my $119.95 back without any restocking fees.

Hi [redacted],

Review: Trial offer for Regal electronic cigarettes disclosed nowhere in their advertisement that a subscription was part of the deal. Buried in their terms of agreement was a sentence identifying the subscription requirement. I was not aware, even after skimming the terms of agreement, that I was automatically enrolled in the company's refill plan when I ordered the trial kit. I believe I was mislead.Desired Settlement: Full refund without restocking fees (as agreed to by their service representative via telephone)

Dear [redacted],

Review: In their Terms an Conditions, they have a flat statement of, PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A 20% RESTOCKING FEE ON ALL RETURNED PRODUCTS. The problem is that they don't say 20% of what? Full retail price, Promotion price, Introductory price, or Sale price. All of which the have advertised at one time or another.

I made a promotional introductory offer purchase in the amount of $4.95, knowing that there was a 20% or $.99 is exactly what I expected to pay on my purchase. Not 20% of a price of which there's no record. They charged me $23.99, 20% of $119.95 or the full retail price.

I have had to pay restocking fees on various products and they are all based on the purchase price paid, not some number they pull out of thin air.Desired Settlement: I'm more then willing to pay the 20% of the $4.95 purchase price I paid in the amount of $0.99, as long as they refund the $23.00 they are trying to over charge me.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I had responded to their free gift offer of starter kit of smokeless/e ciggratte. I was supposed to pay only shipping charge of five dollars.

Now after about a month has passed, they have charged my credit card, $.119.95 and are saying, I should have returned the item, during one month ofr reciept of item, if I did not like it. Now since it is more then a month has passed, they will not return my money.

There was no mention of one month trial period or any such thying in their Free gift offer.. There was no one month trail period mentioned.Desired Settlement: Refund the money ($. 119.95), to my credit card, as I had never ordered any thing. I had responded to their Free gift offer and I was to pay only five dollars, towards postage only.

If they want and send me return envelop, I will be too happy to return, the gift, sent by them.

I do not need their product.
