Deceptive practices--zero stars
Deceptive practices. Tennant screening service charged $199.95 for application. When I first approached the rental managers, I asked all three if they have issue with a person having a discharged Bankruptcy of a year ago. I was informed I would be approved provided I had other compensating factors such as positive credit, positive rental history and positive income. Received my denial today based off I have a Bk on my credit report, and it stated due to my credit score. They did not provide the score they pulled with Experian on the denial, and I had previously told them of the BK. So, this appears to be deceptive practice to charge you money with no intention of renting to you. They should be telling people up front if you do have a BK, you will not qualify. Now I have hard hit to my credit report and out the non refundable fee.

FRAUD.... NOT Errors
My daughter was applying for an apartment through this service. First the web site did not mention that she was merely applying for a single room vs. an apartment so she had to apply again. She was denied again. Then I placed my name on the app as I would be the one making the payments. I have great income and credit and they denied it AGAIN.. Over $300 in application fees racked up and this place is RIPPING people off. I am NOT done with this and will report it to the BBB.

Questionable reporting
I was denied through RENTGROW but approved through two different companies on the same week . Clearly there are some discrepancies in the reporting process performed by RENTGROW! Beware

Apartment
I recent applied for an apt until I find a house which I was approved for $450,000. However, I was denied apartment which I live in now. Filed bankruptcy in 2016 which was discharge and they did bring that up. Let me say this they stated my SLoans was to low. What?. If I am paying on my student loans it suppose to go down sue to the fact I am paying on it. And my credit cards to high not I have paid off my credit cards and my car. This system sucks and this company need to be investigated. Been living in the apt since 2019 and I have good rental history. This company is so judgmental when it comes to applying for an apartment not a house but apartment this is a mess. System SUCKS they need to be investigated they are a fraud

Denied rental application based on inaccurate information from RentGrow
I recently received a denial letter for a rental application from Terrace Garden Townhomes based on inaccurate information from RentGrow. I requested a copy of the RentGrow report and provided an email address. RentGrow states that a report will be submitted faster if you include an email address, they lied. What is interesting is that information obtained in the RentGrow report does not match any of my credit reports (TransUnion, Experian, or Equifax). What is also interesting is that my rental applications for other properties have been approved with no issue. This company is a scam.

I have a credit score of 850 and got denied!
I have no idea what these guys checked, but they don't seem to know what they are doing.

Unqualified Rent History
I’ve never been denied a rental app and have owned 2 homes as well. We were denied due to Rental History which is inaccurate due to me living in a complex now! Also pulled something from my credit from over 10 yrs ago to which has zero information. Tried to talk to a person and that’s impossible!

Denied due to unqualified rent history
My mother and I have lived in the same apartment complex going on 8 years now. This is unbelievable, I have worked on my credit and it's @ a 735 no late payments and one collection account from over 5 years ago. God moves in mysterious ways so I'll just take it as He has something better. But shame on this company for their fraudulent misinformation

False information
I will be filing a lawsuit with this company. I got denied twice for info that's not on my credit. I was sent a copy, I called the apartments and asked them why I was denied. The information was not the same with what I got. Someone in 2013 filed a lawsuit for the same thing. I guess they need a class action lawsuit, so they can get shutdown.

INACCURATE INFORMATION
I applied for an apartment complex, and got denied. When I saw my screening report, it seems as though rentgrow doesn’t get updated information for YEARS! They claim they get their information from Experian, but even when I check experian, the information is updated. This company is a FRAUD, and is ruining people’s lives and opportunities for a home!

Why are they even in business!
My husband and I work very hard and it's a shame that these rental agencies use companies like this. I called to dispute and they said that I could be waiting for up to two hours. I put in for my tenant screening, so I can know exactly why I was turned down. They said that I was denied because I owed too many unpaid debts. I HAD 10 unpaid debts, but I'm quite sure that they didn't send in their report that I just paid 5 of them off. Then they said that I had a Civil Court history. What are they talking about? I work for a company that won't even hire you if you have any civil court history. Or was it my divorce 20 years ago, that would put me in Civil Court, right? Anyway, we lost our money and didn't get the two places that we applied for. If you see anything with RENTGROW on it...RUN! Really wish I could have given it no stars!

Rental screening incorrect
Rental screening showing I owe a property when I paid them off almost four years ago.I am being denied a rent and trying to move asap as I have 4 small children.Filed a dispute after man hour on the phone.Lets see how long that takes.

False Information Reporting
My husband and I have had 2 different occurrences with rentgrow. They falsely reported information to a rental company twice and because of their error it caused us to be declined twice, and about time they corrected it we lost out on the opportunity to rent. They don't set the standards but companies rely on them to give them correct information. I had to prove that the information was incorrect all they did was forward the information to the credit bureau. I didn't even know credit bureaus has access to criminal history. The information they forwarded was sealed and they shouldn't have had access to it. They said it would take up to 30 days but I didn't understand why because we supplied them with the proof of record sealing. Why did we have to wait for a credit reporting agency for a criminal background. They never accept responsibility for their company. It's them who pulls the criminal reports not credit agencies. This is why several third party companies have been sued. I'm seeking a lawyer because this caused a huge hindrance to us because we had to move and a certain time frame. We got denied because of their inaccurate information which cost us time we had to wait for them to correct it.

Please review the information that you sent to Pacific Park concerning my rental history. It is erroneous and needs to be removed as soon as possible. In the future, it would be most helpful if you investigated any information reported. The leasing specialist is aware that I am attempting to correct this error. This company screened my application for a rental home in Wesley Chapel Fl and denied my application. They used my Father's Civil Court Eviction Notice from 6 years ago which clearly stated my father's name and that it was not mine. As such my name has been defamed and our application for this rental home jeopardized because of this false and inaccurate information. A dispute was filed on their site but they stated it would take 30 days. I replied it wasn't on my Credit Report but a Civil Court Eviction notice belonging to my father from several years ago was used to deny the application. Meanwhile I spent 150 dollars on this to only have my application erroneously denied. I want this resolved as soon as possible. The America 4 Homes Leasing Manager texted, once Rentgrow corrects this error we can take another look at the application for approval.
