American Residential Services, LLC D/B/A ARS/Rescue Rooter ("ARS") has received your email dated May 22, regarding the above-referenced complaintThank you for bringing this matter to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to respond Although we had the opportunity to speak with the customer to gain a better understanding and to offer a resolution of the complaint, the customer has chosen not to accept our offer at this time The customer called us out due to a clog in the main lineWhen our service professional first arrived on November 1, 2016, he notated that there was water damage on the ceiling above where the television satAt that time, the customer signed a “pre-existing damage form” (please see attachment), and we proceeded with the workOn November 6, 2016, we were called back out to address the clogAt this point, we recommended additional work in which the customer declined (please see recommendation sheet in attachment)Per our knowledge, the customer called out another company on November 8, (please see attachment of Roto Rooter invoice)? Apparently, they were able to repair the issue by hydro jetting the lineBecause the customer was not happy with the work that we initially did back on November 1st, we refunded all monies back that she paid us on that initial visitSix months later is when the customer noticed more water damage to the ceilingShe called the other company back out, ? and then called our company back out (please see invoice) Upon our service professional going back out to the property, there was a large hole in the wall that customer states was cut by her husband to stop the leakingWe repaired her toilet, and also sent a water remediation company out (ESR)ESR was able to confirm with us that there was a hole already in the wall cut out by the customerESR was able to do moisture readings and found no indication of a leakESR was also able to verify with us that there were previous problems at this residence even before our company came out initiallyFor customer satisfaction, our company has offered to fix the hole in the ceilingCustomer has declined our offer and advised us via email that she is going to escalate this matter ARS prides itself on providing premier customer service and appreciates your assistance in resolving this disputeIf you require additional information regarding this complaint, please contact me directly at ###-###-#### ?

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: it is incorrect ARS was notified that I do not agree with the proposal No service agreement, payment slip, or any other paperwork was signed by me consenting to do the work or charge my credit card ARS charged my credit card despite being informed that I do not consent to the work or charges to my credit cardARS was also notified that noone but me is authorized to use the credit card It is also incorrect the ARS claim that my credit card was credited The credit card company informed me that ARS denied to give credit The credit card company issued a new credit card due to fraud ARS has been provided with estimates but they seem not willing to match the price to the estimate provided They just took the price of one of the estimates and added the amount to the price they charged and divided by two to provide us with a new priceThe new price does not truly reflect the value of the work and is way above the average price for this type of work even taking in considerations variables It is my hope for them to issue a credit to my credit card and offer a reasonable price before the decision is made to replace the work with another company and return the heater unit to ARS Sincerely, [redacted]

Mr [redacted] of Rescue Rooter came out yesterday to trouble shoot my tenant's sewer ejector pump problemHe was very professional and did a complete review our entire plumbing system, and provided a quick rundown and upfront estimate for the fixWe have also discussed potential other problems and he contacted his supervisor and shared cellphone photos of our particular situation for further inputI was impressed with his knowledge, attentions to details and careful consideration for all possible issues and alternative solutionsLooking forward to work with him anytime when we have a plumbing problem [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThe only resolution offered was an apologyMs [redacted] communicated to me that, she is unsure as to why my urgent plumbing matter was canceled in their system, having been marked as completeShe did offer an apology, while communicating to me, that she wasn't clear on how the specifics of the San Diego location operate It is however inaccurate, and disingenuous at best to state that I declined the appointment, because I was going to go with another service providerThe crux of my complaint is that this company knowingly accepted my urgent plumbing matter, understanding that if not attended to quickly my home may face substainal property damage, but still agreed to accept the appointment, knowing full well they would not be able to get to me in the hour the promisedNothing I have heard thus far disavows me of this notionBeing told that the company is unclear as to why my appointment was canceled, and why they only realized it when I called in more than minutes after they promised they would be at my homeAs this was an emergency, I found another provider that night Despite this company stating they wouldn't be able to get someone out to me before three hours, and I could take or leave my appointment (despite them promising to be at my home an hour earlier) ASR has actually offered nothing in the way of resolutionIf they would like to offer a voucher for future service, or the like, I may consider itAgain, putting a customers home in jeopardy in hopes of squeezing out an extra few dollars, is inexcusableAnd the explanation I have received to date, does nothing to indicate that, there was anything other than that happening in this situation I would caution any Revdex.com user, to carefully consider the type of company that ASR is, before contracting with them to do any workTheir priorities are their bottom line, and not your home, your property, or your convenience Regards, [redacted]

I liked the response to my plumbing problem They were quick to respond Bryan arrived in clean and clearly professional vehicle His appearance and demeanor were friendly and very professional He advised me of the possible solutions to my problems When he began his work he was professional and efficient and finished in a timely manner He cleaned his work area and left the job area as clean as when he arrived

Rescue Rooter is a "Top Notch" company We have been very pleased with their workespecially their Service Technicians, Noel & Oscar The young men were very professional, hard working, neat, clean & tidy Also very polite & any questions we had, they answered them in detail so we could understand some of the more complicated issues Would we recommend them, definitely They, Noel & Oscar are of the best trades people I ever had work for me and believe me I have dealt with many This is an excellent company I highly recommend [redacted]

I had an issue with a bad sewage smell coming through the office restroom floor drain and Vincent along with his associate came in and took care of the problemThey were professional, thorough, and quickI will definitely go to them for any plumbing needs in the future

Vincent Gand Edward Bwere friendly and knowledgeableI appreciated the time they took to explain why they recommended certain solutions to my plumbing problems and to offer different options depending on my budgetOverall, this is why I continue to call Rescue Rooter - all their technicians have taken the time to help me understand what they are doing and whyI've been able to take care of simple repairs based on advice I receive, but call them when I know I might do more damage taking the DIY route
