Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: it is incorrect.  ARS was notified that I do not agree with the proposal.  No service agreement, payment slip, or any other paperwork was signed by me consenting to do the work or charge my credit card.  ARS charged my credit card despite being informed that I do not consent to the work or charges to my credit card. ARS was also notified that noone but me is authorized to use the credit card. 
It is also incorrect the ARS claim that my credit card was credited.  The credit card company informed me that ARS denied to give credit.  The credit card company issued a new credit card due to fraud. 
ARS has been provided with estimates but they seem not willing to match the price to the estimate provided.   They just took the price of one of the estimates and added the amount to the price they charged and divided by two to provide us with a new price. The new price does not truly reflect the value of the work and is way above the average price for this type of work even taking in considerations variables.  It is my hope for them to issue a credit to my credit card and offer a reasonable price before the decision is made to replace the work with another company and return the heater unit to ARS.

Rescue Rooter is a "Top Notch" company. We have been very pleased with their
workespecially their Service Technicians, Noel & Oscar. The young men
were very professional, hard working, neat, clean & tidy. Also very polite &
any questions we had, they answered them in detail so we could understand
some of the more complicated issues.

Would we recommend them, definitely. They, Noel & Oscar are 2 of the best
trades people I ever had work for me and believe me I have dealt with many.

I needed someone in a hurry! I had two units with tubs and stools backing-up! I got fast, courteous, knowledgeable service when Rep Dave showed-up in a timely manner. He explained what and why was going on and even though it was a holiday weekend, it didn't cost three arms and four legs! Would I call Dave at Rescue Rooter again...YOU BETCHA I WILL and I hope you do, too.

Wonderful service. Super friendly and competent staff. Quick, friendly service. We had Alan come out, he was really professional. He completed the job with great efficiency, and was super nice. I was completely satisfied with everything.

I am so tired of trying to get what was promised to me. Seven days and counting and still no receipt or video. Yesterday the general manager said " how about you raise the amount of stars on your yelp review and I can send you your receipt and video". I said no and was not surprised that the receipt and video did not show up. I did talk with their corporate customer relations this morning and she assures me that some time today I should receive an email with both of those files. We will see, not crossing my fingers. I have been promised that email since Friday of last week with no luck but maybe this time it will be different.

[redacted] is always helpful and pleasant. I like that he does his stinky job with a smile on his face.

We were extremely pleased with Rescue Rooter. They installed a water heater and garbage disposal. Everyone we have come in contact with at Rescue Rooter has been professional and courteous. We would highly recommend them.

Bryan, our technician, was extremely knowledgeable and professional.
He kept his work area and our home clean. He was very dependable and we were very pleased with his service.

Francisco C[redacted] did a great job replacing our kitchen faucet. He was on time and honored my wife's request to wear booties on his shoes which she appreciated. He completed the job in a timely manner and was both professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend this company and Francisco in particular to my neighbors and friends.

valves failed.  Accordingly, Mr. [redacted]  was provided with the  enclosed written estimate to replace 
the two  valves using a pro-press machine which  allows  for a more efficient repair.  Mr. [redacted] 
signed the authorization to proceed with  the work,  and  the work  was  performed as contracted.
Pricing is based on the  quality and care  with  which  the work  is performed.  Our flat  rate  
pricing approach allows our service professionals to complete the  job without time  constraints,

Review: Rescue Rooter installed a clean out in front of our house per our Home Warranty requirements of the clean out going from house to street, we paid $1700 in 2007. On 5/12/15 we had to call them out again to unclog our pipes, the clog was close to the house so they were unable to reach it with the snake. When they went to the clean out they said it was only going one way, from the driveway (clean out) to the street not up to the house. They would have to dig up the current clean out and install it from house to street which is what we were under the impression happened in 2007. They were charging us $3269, I told them I wanted the $1700 taken off the current price since we already paid for that work. After speaking to the Customer Service Manger. I got them to credit $1200 of the $1700.Desired Settlement: To receive the $404 to complete the $1700's I feel that should have been deducted from the original $3269.

Review: I used this plumbing company to try to clear my clogged sewer line. The plumber initially stated over the phone that they charged $99 to clear the line as long as a clean out is present (which I had). The plumber sent the snake down the sewer line and pulled up roots but did NOT clear the line. The plumber then stated that he needed to do it again with a blade attached to the head of the snake but demanded that it would cost another $125! Having no choice since every drain in the house backed up and being Sunday I had to agree to this additional charge even though they stated they charged only "$99" to clear the line. They returned the very next day the line started to back up again. The plumbers returned to send a camera down the line (it was part of the $99 charge but had to do it the next day since the first plumber did not have a camera and had to call in another plumber with the camera the next day). The plumber stated that in order to snake it again I would have to pay more money! They never cleared the line in the first place! I called a different plumber and he was able to clear the line AND send the snake down the sewers again just to make sure the line is clear.

Review: ON 3/5/2013 I CALLED RESCUE ROOTER TO SERVICE A SEWER BACKUP ISSUE I HAD IN MY HOME. AT THAT TIME BRANDON DAVIS ARRIVED FIRST THEN CALLED THEIR MAIN PLUMBER PAUL BELCHER TO MY HOME. THEY SAID IT WAS A HARD BLOCK IN MY DRIVE WAY THAT COULD NOT BE CLEARED AND REQUIRED A SPOT REPAIR THAT ENDED COSTING ME $9021.00. AROUND THE LAST WEEK OF JULY I NOTICED GREASE BACKING OUT FROM MY SEWER INLET NEAR MY FRONT DOOR. I THEN CALLED RESCUE ROOTER TO CHECK AND THIS SAME 2 PEOPLE SHOWED UP AND SAID THAT I NEEDED A PRESSURE WASH TO CLEAR THE GREASE BUILD UP WHICH ENDED UP COSTING ME ANOTHER $1100.00. UPON THERE PROCESS THEY SAID THAT THEY FOUND WHAT APPEARED LIKE A BREAK IN THE CITYS MAIN SEWER LINE A FEW FEET FROM MY DRIVEWAY AND THAT THEY RECOMMENDED I NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM OR FACE ANOTHER BACKUP IN THE NEAR FUTURE ESTIMATED AT AROUND $16,00.00. AT THIS TIME I SUSPECTED I WAS BEING TAKEN FOR A FOOL BECAUSE WHEN I SAID THAT I NEEDED TO CALL THE CITY FIRST SINCE THE SO CALLED BREAK IN NO LONGER IN MY PROPERTY, THEY SAID THE ONLY CITY IN O.C. WHO DOES THAT IS COSTA MESA. I PROCEEDED TO CALL THE CITY AND SURE ENOUGH THEY FIGURED THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. IRVINE RANCH WATER DISTRICT WHO HANDLES THE SEWER PIPES FOR THE CITY OF LAKE FOREST STATED THAT THERE WAS NO BREAK IN THERE SEWER LINE. THAT THE ISSUE WAS WERE RESCUE ROOTER MADE THE REPAIR IN MY DRIVEWAY AND THAT WERE THEY MADE A JOINT TO CONNECT TO THE CITY, SOIL UNDERNEATH THAT JOINT WAS NOT "COMPACTED" PROPERLY AND THUS WAS CAUSING THE JOINT TO BUCKLE DOWN AND CAUSING SEWER WATER TO POOL IN THAT REPAIRED AREA, THAT IS WHY I HAVE THE GREASE BACKING UP SINCE MY SEWER LINE IS UNTIL NOW STILL COMPROMISED AND MAY CAUSE A MAJOR PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE. I HAVE CALLED RESCUE ROOTER TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE I SPOKE WITH [redacted] THE DISPATCH SUPERVISOR ON 9/23/13 AND HE SAID HE WILL CALL ME BACK. 1 WEEK LATER I CALLED AGAIN AND SAME THING, NO RESPONSE. ("ARS") contracted with Mr. [redacted] to repair a main line stoppage at the property

located at 22921 Travis Street, Lake Forest, CA 92630. We contacted Mr. [redacted] and

offered to schedule for a member of our local management team to meet with Mr.

[redacted] at the property to gain a better understanding of the Complaint and to

hopefully achieve an amicable resolution. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] declined our

request.

Review: This business installed a repair that was an excessive charge and which failed. It was not performed to licensed plumbing standards, the standards of a certified technician in PEX pipe, or ethical standards of a business. The repair was not correct per the building code which prohibits narrowing a 3/4" main hot water line. Afterward I hired a licensed plumbing contractor with a positive reputation to re-do the job correctly. He wrote that this was a code violation and unethical job. The "plumbers" from Rescue Rooter knew the PEX pipe fitting would fail; they wrapped it with teflon tape to cover up the gap which prevented the fitting from being firm. There is no way this repair was proper.

On March 12, 2015 I discovered a plumbing leak and flooding in my home. It was after regular business hours so I called ProServ to come to my home. A person was sent out and could not locate the leak source. I was told they would return the next day. The next day a team from Rescue Rooter came out. (Apparently ProServ and Rescue Rooter are interchangeable entities.) They located the origin of the leak as a slab leak. but left before completing the work. They proposed putting a 1/2" PEX pipe into the original 3/4" feed line which they did. Without going into excessive detail here, they left the final fitting for the next day. Another person returned the next day and put in the fitting. However, the pipe was damaged and the fitting did not adhere properly. After paying $3213 for the total bill: $2718 + $495 for the leak detection, the fitting started leaking again within a few days. I called a license plumber I trust to examine the fitting.

Completely rerouting the pipe properly cost me less than this flawed repair.Desired Settlement: Refund of $2718.00 for the failure to properly repair a plumbing leak over 4 days time within building code.

I sent a more detailed letter to Rescue Rooter on 4-3-2015. I have the return receipt. I have heard nothing from them about this issue.

Revdex.com is my recourse before going to court.

[redacted] said take it or leave it $1100 at the same time I had another plumber to turn off condo water was there and on the clock. [The information provide is in error. I had two employees of this firm provide me estimates. Neither estimate was written. [redacted] provided the first and I gave him the go ahead to do the 4 value replacement. It as coordinated with Contol Air and on that day a new employee of your firm showed up. He called me to tell me the price was 1100.0 No written work order was presented nor signed. I told him I wanted to speak to his boss on this matter and he told me to call [redacted]. Well I called and left a message and no call back. I told him to move ahead as it was an emergency for me expecting to discuss the pricing with [redacted]. Your firm cost me extra with the other plumbing firm because of schedule issues and your lack of experience with shut off values in the condo group. I left my credit card with my son to make payment although still in dispute. Copes of work order and 3 day notice to cancel were left however my son says he did not sign them. First verbal quote from your firm for 4 values 950.00 Second quote for 2 values 1100.00 extra reschedule charge from Control Air to handle water shut off 400.00 that I paid them.

BTW I have a neighbor in the same building that used your firm and guess what - same thing first plumber gave one verbal quote. 2nd plumber from your firm a higher verbal quote and told the same story. I think your license should be suspended.
