I bought a [redacted] mason dump from this placeThe first time I tried to bring it home at the gas station I pumped gallons of diesel in to the groundThey forgot to tell me they "ORDERED" A new fuel tank and didn't put it in yetSo a week plus later they finally say its fixed along with the laundry list of broken things I told them I need this DOT inspection readySo I get it a second time and on my way home it just dies!! wont start and I have video of oil pouring out of the back of the motorand it not startingThe owner insulted methey all treated me like I was a pestAnd its been weeks since they agreed to give me my money back and I still haven't seen a penny and they a reselling the truckNO SHAME at all and dishonest as the day is longThey tell me every day "The money has been processedIts over a week since they claimed this and I still dont have itI went through their reviewsThey are very curious read them for yourselfO these guys are great stars my car runs perfect! but I had to have them replace the fuel pump

Good morning [redacted] Let me start by saying that we have gone above and beyond what any dealer normally do for a customerWe ordered parts(cosmetic partsNo safety related items.) for the truck and since you needed the truck on a certain day and the parts had not arrived yet, we agreed to drive all the way across the state to pick the truck up and repair it, drive if all the way back across the entire stateAny other dealership would mail the parts to you and tell you that you are on your own with everything elseIncluding the light issue which may I add was repaired by our ASE certified Master technician on the day we picked the truck up for repairsSimply because you had signed all of your sale documentation that you purchased the vehicle in "AS-IS" conditionBut we are not like other dealers and we want to make our customers happyWe aren't your typical used car dealer who only cares about taking your moneyWe will and continue to go above and beyond to attempt to satisfy our customers Your truck passed our safety inspectionIt wouldn't have passed if you did not have brake lightsThere was an issue with lights in the rear of the truck, but your brake lights have always worked and the vehicle has always been safe for the road As far as the airbag light coming on, it was not on when we were in possession of the truckIf it did come on, it was after we went out of our way to drop the truck off to youAlso lets be honest with each otherYou never said anything to our driver about the airbag lightThe only thing which was mentioned was the fact that one of the cosmetic parts was missingWhich was previously disclosed to you earlier in the dayThese are used carsThere is no way of knowing when something will go wrong with themWe are not fortune tellersWe can not tell the future If you look at your printed purchase order as well as the original hand written purchase order, you will notice that the total out the door dollar amount is $You left us $cash deposit the first night you were hereWe also agreed to give you $allowance for your trade in vehicleA Jeep Grand CherokeeWhich you claimed was in decent condition with only the steering box that needed repairThat gives you $downWhen you picked the vehicle up, you paid the balance of $the night you picked up the vehicleThese numbers all equal $which was the agreed upon out the door figure. You did not over pay us and we do not owe you any money towards the vehicle Lastly, we did give you an $allowance for your Jeep without seeing the vehicle because we took your word that it was in decent conditionThe frame on the Jeep is rotten all the way throughIf we knew that the frame was rotten then we wouldn't have even extended you an offer for the vehicle because it is unsafe for the road and now all we can do is bring it to the junk yardThe junk yard is only giving $per carWe also had to pay a tow truck driver $cash to have the vehicle towed hereWhen it arrived we were in shock at the fast that the frame was completely rotted outTherefore we are out $which was the allowance for your trade and the $for the towMinus the $we will recoup at the junkyardwe are in the red $Therefore Its pretty much a wash We will still honor our promise to you and complete the repairs which were promised, but that is where our kindness ends when we extend our hospitality to people and all they do is badmouth usWhen the last part arrives we will be in touchThank you(Please see attached documents)

I just brought my [redacted] home and have to say this has been by far the easiest and most pleasurable car shopping experience so farI always buy used cars every 3-years and have never found a more down to earth group of sales guys as they have at Rt Thanks Bobby and Mike I will see you next time around!

I was looking for a nice family SUV and they had a lot of different ones to choose from which helped us get what we really wantedVery friendly and low pressureI love the [redacted] we got and will definitely recommend them to anyone we know looking for a used car

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! I bought a car from Route Auto Sales in the middle of Sept Out of the first days of owning this car, they had it for days I would be told "it will take days to fix" and then I wouldn't get it back for days They never returned phone calls, they were rude, they acted like it was my fault for the car having issuesThese were minor issues in the big scheme of things The car had a day warrantySo when the check engine light came on, I had it scanned and was told it was the catalytic converter, I took the car right back to Route Auto Sales They also agreed it was the catalytic converter and agreed to replace it They had the car for days Finally, after numerous other things being wrong, I thought I was done with this businessIn February, I took the car in for emissions Lo and behold, the car failed due to the catalytic converter and a non-working check engine light I took the car to a mechanic other than Route Auto Sales to check 1) had the catalytic converter been changed within the last months and 2) why wasn't the check engine light working Here's the results: 1) the catalytic converter was the factory original and 2) the check engine light (behind the dash) had been "punctured and disabled" Route did agree to replace the catalytic converter, but said "We've already gone above and beyond for you and we're not going to get into changing the bulb." Thank God I had been documenting everything (even though Route never gave any kind of paperwork for the repairs they did) and I filed a complaint with the Department of Motor Vehicles DMV was wonderful and they were able to get Route Auto Sales to replace the check engine light bulb (which would have cost me $at the [redacted] dealer) so my car was able to pass through emissions Route Auto Sales is so disrespectful that when I went to pick up my car, the hood was covered in motor oil and they acted like it was my fault when I asked them to clean it upBeware of websites where all the reviews are positive On some sites the dealers are able to manipulate the reviews and add lots of positive reviews Please learn from my mistake and do your own research into this company Lastly, when I dropped the car off to have the bulb replaced, Mike Lsaid to me "let's get one thing clear, if I see anymore negative reviews online, I will not finish working on your car" So now that my car has passed emissions, I'm able to post my experiences with Route Auto Sales whose legal name is [redacted] ***dba Route Auto

I purchased a lemon from this place, the car didnt run for a week before it died The vehicle was supposed to be covered by the day warranty which they refuse to honor we are out the vehicle and the money DO NOT purchase anything from this dealership, they are unethical and scam artists

Unfortunately *** *** purchased the vehicle over months agoShe purchased the vehicle in "AS-IS" condition for under $We offered her an extended warranty and *** *** declined the optionPer State of Connecticut General Statutes and the Department of Motor Vehicle guidelines, any
vehicle sold under $is considered "AS-IS" and is not entitled to any warrantyThe vehicle was put through a vigorous safety inspection prior to delivery and the car was deemed safe for the road by an ASE certified master mechanicIf something happened to *** ***'s vehicle months after she assumed possession of the vehicle, it is solely due to the negligence and failure to performed scheduled maintenanceThese are USED vehicles and are mechanicalYou must treat them as suchIf they are low on oil or coolant, you must fill themOr have someone who is more knowledgeable with motor vehicles fill them for you. There is nothing we are able to do for *** *** given the circumstancesIn the future *** *** should wither treat her used vehicle's with more care or purchase new where the manufacturer gives factory warranty and incentivesMost manufacturers give at least 50,mile warranty's

This customer is complaining that he can not open his sunroof in degree weatherWe Subbed the vehilce out to another repair facility to fix the sunroofIt was not repaired correctlyWe never told our customer noWe are going to honor our agreement and repair his sunroofWe will do it when we

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9983575, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Although the business owner lied and no other
attempt was made to sell us another car, aside from the salesperson trying to sell us his personal carThe owner was rude when speaking to me, and frequently swore during one particular phone call We had no intention to look into another car with them
Sincerely,
Brandi Bogrett-cantley

trip cars, my husband and I are both teachers and were in need of two inexpensive cars for work We found Route Auto Sales in Prospect, CT while looking through a car magazine we picked up at the market They had pages full of cars and when looking on their website appeared to have even more We decided to pay them a visit last Saturday afternoon and I am glad we didWe ended up finding both vehicles there and well within the budget we had set We worked with a gentleman named Dave and he was easy going and non pressuring like you would expect at a car dealership Our experience here was good we picked up the cars Wednesday and Thursday (the 2nd car required more work) and both cars are running excellent!

I purchased a *** *** from Route Auto Sales last week and had a good experience with DaveHe made the process easy and I didn't feel as though he was just trying to sell me somethingThe car had a small rip in the passenger seat which they agreed to fix and have done so and I can't even see where it wasIt was priced better than others I have looked at so I feel I received a good deal also

** *** has had every one of his issues addressed by us at Route Auto Sales and ServiceHis hood issues were addressedHe received a new bumperEvery issue ** *** had was fixedThe air box was located and ** *** insisted on installing it himselfFurthermore ** *** was
given full tanks of gas and full details for his truck for his inconvenience. The last time ** *** was at our establishment he left happy and had agreed to drop his complaint here with the Revdex.comI am sure ** *** will collaborate these facts

Since the owner has never been discourteous nor deceitful toward or with the complainant, the dealership rejects the complainant's premise that he was lied to, in any instance, any item in fact or in writing and/or verbally Although this vehicle was sold in "AS-IN" condition and all the pertinent obligatory paperwork and financial details were explicitly and meticulously explained, re-explained ad outlined verbally and in writing to and for the complainant; it appears that the complainant does not comprehend the limits of the dealership's obligations in this matter The complainant has gone to great lengths to libel, slander and defame the owner and the business despite the dealership going above and beyond reason to satisfy the complainant Again the facts are clear:
-The vehicle was safety checked upon delivery and left the dealership fully operational and fully compliant with Connecticut General Statutes for safety-In regard to the alleged disputed final cost of the vehicle, see the attached document AF-(as well as the $receipt for the vehicle.)
-The final cost of the vehicle, as written is $($for trade in, $for vehicle)
The issue of the complainants' trade in is clear cutThe trade in did not have a value of $AND, in fact was worth a mere $as the entire undercarriage wasa rotted away from exposure to the elementsFrom the outset of this dispute, the complainant has brought forth untruthful statements and innuendo, to wit:
1) The vehicle left the dealership unsafe
2)The dealership stated that a state police uncle would assure him not to get a ticket and, "to take the car anyway"
3)the final cost of the vehicle was $ 4) the dealership was discourteous and dishonest to the complainant
the facts are to the contrary
1)The dealership safety checked the vehicle as per C.G.Sprior to it leaving the premises
2) The dealership acted in good faith to repair the cosmetic item, even going to the complainant's home, a substantial distance from the dealership, in an effort to maintain good faith 3) The vehicle, sold "AS-IS" was nonetheless repaired by the dealership AFTER the sale in effort to extend good faith and fair practices
4) The travehicle is worth $as junk, leaving a $balance to equal the $sale price of the vehicle
5) The dealership has a 0.8% complaint rate over the last twelve months0.8% with over cars sold last yearThe dealership is forthright in all aspects of this dispute

Route Auto Sales and Service replaced the alternator with a brand new one from the manufacturer on ms***'s vehicle the day after this complaint was filedBefore Route Auto Sales and Service had any knowledge of the complaint
We never gave anyone the "runaround"There are steps that need to be taken to ensure that we are not throwing money at a problem frivolouslyWe promised you that we would fix your problem and your problem was fixedNo one was trying to run down miles on a warrantyIn fact we will extend your warranty if that is what you felt we were trying to doThe fact of the matter is that we fulfilled every promiseAlso we did not make you walk homeIf you did walk home it was 100% your choiceWe tell every customer that needs service that the vehicle needs to be dropped offIf you did not follow instructions you can not hold us accountableIf we did have an available driver you would have had a ride homeBoth of our drivers were out of state delivering a vehicle in ***We do apologize if we made you feel that we wronged you in any wayIf it is any consolation, We thought you and your boyfriend we very nice people and we still doEveryone here at Route Auto Sales had nothing but kind words for you and your boyfriend

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: we took the car to *** I have all hand written documentation from A *** DEALERSHIP stating the car was unsafe to drive he did not safety check the car the airbag light was on stating the airbags would not deploy he went so far as to PUT THE WRONG ROTORS on the car so we werent getting ample braking power with the car and I am not slandering the man he called us to say he wanted to talk we called him back and he swore and yelled and screamed at us over the phone and as far as the price is concerned
WE HAVE THE 1ST ORIGINAL HAND WRITTEN DATED RECEIPT STATING THE FINAL BALANCE WAS 8000$ he changed the receipts days later and we have proof of this a swell also the jeep was agreed for 1000$ SITE UNSEEN and we had told him the car was un drive-able and no the frame is not rotten the front rocker panels are THATS ITnothing I have said was a lie this is all truth that I have backed up by actual paperwork are you kidding me? this guy still hasnt even refunded the money for the extended warranty that we changed our mind about and still hasn't giving the money back on the credit card yetwe had to tow the car to the *** dealership to get it fixed we never even had a opportunity to drive the car before we had to take it in there to get it fixed the right way because his mechanic had broken things I do not care if he says his mechanic is certified hes broke it worse!!!!! like I said we have all documentation by actual certified mechanics that work on the particular brand/model/make/ of car AT THE *** DEALERSHIP and have documentation from them saying it was unsafe for the road if the Revdex.com wants to see any paperwork ask us for it as far as this matter is concerned we'll be taking this to a higher power

*** ** ***RE: Complaint ID# *** The
customer purchased this vehicle from the dealership on or about December 17, 2014. There was, in fact, a thirty day limited warranty provided with the vehicle. Approximately days later, on or about December 29, that the customer called the dealership and informed us that the vehicle was overheating. The customer was informed in no uncertain terms, not to drive it under those conditions due to the length of the trip he had and that seriouis damage to the engine could result. The customer claimed he could not have it towed but ultimately, when the car died half way to the dealership he had the vehicle towed to our facility. There has been a dispute between the parties as to whether the damages to the vehicle are covered under the limited warranty due to the operation of the vehicle when it should not have been driven. On or about April 3, a diagnosis revealed that the vehicle has a blown head gasket. In an effort to resolve this matter amicably, the owner has agreed to effectuate the necessary repairs. It is anticipated that the vehicle will be returned to the customer on or before April 17, 2015. Sincerely,*** ** *** ***

This was a terrible experience from the beginning My car ran intermittently for months before it was discovered that it needed a new transmission AND an entirely new motor I could not afford those repairs They would not assist I called a lawyer and was told it would be better to handle through small claims or the DMV I wish I had That car sat in my driveway under heaps of snow for years while I continued to make monthly payments I paid $6,and once the loan was paid off I sold it for $ Pretty cars - hunks of junk

I am not a huge fan of vehicle shopping as I have had some less than pleasurable experiences with the whole processImagine my dread when my daughter got her drivers license - necessitating the need for a new vehicle for our familyMy wife and I had been searching for a while, speaking with salespeople who were either pushy or disinterestedWe eventually landed on Rt Auto Sales and met JohnHe listened to what we needed and wanted in a vehicle and provided us many different optionsMore importantly, he understood our budget and never pushed that boundaryWhen we decided to pursue a purchase, John researched the financing options and found a deal that met all of our requirements within a few hours We left the lot very happyIt was the best car buying experience I have ever hadI highly recommend Route Auto SalesThank you John!!

I needed a good cheap car to commute every day with, as I was putting too many miles on my leased ***I saw this place had a vast selection in a lower price range and went to check them outIt's nothing fancy but they have a lot to choose from and their prices were reasonableI bought a bmw for a good price and they made it very easy for me
