Route 69 Auto Sales & Service Reviews (83)

Review: I went to rt69 auto based on a B++ ratting from Revdex.com and my bosses recommendations. I found a truck that I liked and after road testing and in a written contract,to have things repaired, agreed to purchase it. I called a few days later and was told EVERYTHING was done except the rear bumper which they agreed to replace in writing because it didn't have one. So I agreed to pick up the truck and when I got there that night, it was still in the shop being repaired. I went in and did the paper work and handed them a check - big mistake. We went to leave and before pulling out of the parking lot, my boss said the hood was damaged. They dropped it on a tool or something and the hood was creased. They were gonna let us leave without saying anything. I grabbed the owner Mike L[redacted] and he, myself and my boss went back out to look at it - he said he would fix it so we left. So I go back to have the hood and bumper put on and the hood was not done and the bumper still missing in action {they told me it was there and the hood was done} so I drove all the way out there for nothing. I went back later that day cause they don't call you and we agreed for me to come back, still not done. So now they tell me to come in Sunday {next day} and they put on a dented hood that they had painted and still no bumper. I left there and the next morning the hood popped open on me while going to work at 6 in the morning and the grill is lose and missing bolts and it's not lined up with the body. Called and the mechanic says they bent the crap out of the hood latch but he let me leave there knowing this. The hood has popped open on me numerous times because they still haven't got the new latch {accident waiting to happen}. And the bumper that they ordered {a refurbished one} is at the body shop being fixed {i said it's refurbished which means it is already fixed} but they keep lying and telling me they keep getting bumpers but they are bad. I can go on 50 web sites and find bumpers all day long. more to say no room.Desired Settlement: I want the bumper put on, the hood lined up and the new latch put on so it doesn't open while driving. I want the new air filter box {which they ordered and it was wrong} put on also. I have fixed half of the things they were supposed to have done in the written contract anyway. I want nothing more to do with them. They over promise and under deliver. Mike only wants to sell the vehicle and then act like he has nothing to do with the service {he's the owner}. been over a month back and forth.

Response:

[redacted] has had every one of his issues addressed by us at Route 69 Auto Sales and Service. His hood issues were addressed. He received a new bumper. Every issue [redacted] had was fixed. The air box was located and [redacted] insisted on installing it himself. Furthermore [redacted] was given 2 full tanks of gas and 2 full details for his truck for his inconvenience. The last time [redacted] was at our establishment he left happy and had agreed to drop his complaint here with the Revdex.com. I am sure [redacted] will collaborate these facts.

Review: I purchased a 2006 [redacted] from RT 69 Auto Sale & Service on 2/17/15 with 2,000 down. The [redacted] was missing a rearview mirror, and a side mold. They told me to put a deposite on it so they can get started for inspection. I put 300 down on the 2/12 came back on 2/13 with 1,700.[redacted] the (sales person) said the car would be ready on 2/17.So I came back 2/17 at 6pm the mold was not on, the rearview was still not on. [redacted] the other (Sales person) started putting the plates on. They just put glue on the window so I had to drive without the rearview mirror.I purchased an extended warranty called [redacted] for 1,795. March 2/15 I received a letter saying my contract was cancelled. I still haven't received my registration it is now 3/24/15. I refinanced the car at my bank and now I need a copy of my registration. I call back again 3/24/15 ([redacted]) told me that they changed companies without me knowing they are lying. All I want is my money back. I called [redacted] warranty they said Rout 69 never paid them. I spoke with ([redacted]at route 69 he said they changed the warranty. How can they change a signed contract. What I want is out of the contractDesired Settlement: I purchased an extended warranty called [redacted] for 1,795. March 2/15 I received a letter saying my contract was cancelled. RE: Complaint I. D. # [redacted] The customer purchased a 2006 [redacted] from us on or about February 17, 2015. The customer also purchased an extended warranty from [redacted] Corporation through our dealership. When the vehicle was delivered the mirror and the molding were installed on the vehicle. The Department of Motor Vehicles normally takes 4 to 6 weeks to get the new title to the owner. The registration the customer claims to need to refinance the vehicle, was provided to him at the time of the delivery. The vehicles are registered in-house electronically as we are connected to [redacted] online and have the ability to register motor vehicles right at the dealership. As for the warranty the customer must have contacted the [redacted] Corporation prior to them having received our premium payment to them. We have written verification that the policy premium has been paid and that the policy is in full force and effect. I have simultaneously sent written verification to the customer. Sincerely,[redacted]

bought a car, told me they we fixing the requested items, so lets get the paperwork done while they finish the car. I didn't get the car for 8 weeks! Asked for my money back several times, wouldn't give it to me, offered a cash settlement so I could just get the dam thing, said I don't operate like that. here I am 12 weeks later and we still don't have the car properly fixed. A simple mirror is all that is left which is the law to have an unobstructed view, and we would could finally finish. Nope, now he wants to fight with the state of Ct. This guy should not be in business period!
