Paid $488 for a chair that I did not receive. FedEx says they lost the package, and that I can get my money back if the merchant (SeatingMind) files a claim. I've contacted SeatingMind, and they aren't filing my claim or offering a refund. They say that FedEx won't let them, but FedEx assured me many times that the merchant will be able to file a claim successfully. I'm inclined to believe FedEx, and suspect that SeatingMind isn't trying very hard to get me my money back.

Fedex has delivered your package to the address you have provided, however, since you have contacted us and claim to not have received it we have opened a Fedex case and need to wait 7 business days for a response. We are working hard to make things right for you.

Ordered a new condition Aeron chair with a couple upgrades and it wound up taking 2-3 times longer than what was quoted to receive the chair. Once it arrived I realized it was the wrong chair, a refurbished model in a different size without any of the upgrades. Notified them right away and they offered to refund some of the money if I kept it but since it was a smaller version that didn't fit me that wasn't an option so they sent a return shipping label. Once the chair was returned to them they only issued a partial refund, keeping a 20% restocking fee, and are no longer replying to emails and the only phone number listed goes to an answering machine that nobody checks or replies to.

I just sent an urgent email internally, they will get back to you very shortly. I think the pandemic caused a problem with some of out herman miller chairs not being delivered but they will give you more info very shortly. It was promised but they ran into pandemic issues.

I ordered a knoll chair. I have pictures of their brand new condition. It is far from new. Their chairs are not as described and for whatever reason PayPal decided in their “favour”. After trying to resolve it I finally filed a PayPal claim then seating mind customer service said they would only help me if I cancelled my PayPal claim. I am just sick. I bought this under my “allowance” while teleworking for the federal government. Now I don’t have a working chair nor can I buy a real chair because my chair budget is spent.

I would give them no stars if the system allowed it. Ordered a chair on May 10 and after a couple of weeks with no reply I tried emailing them. I received an email reply telling me it was taking an extra ten days to fill orders. Fake fed ex tracking has been added to my order. Last week I started calling them again and left a voice mail but when I tried to leave a second one it said their mailbox was full. I also have sent numerous emails with no replies. They are radio silent and I believe the massive numbers of reviews when you search to check them out are faked. I am working with my bank to get my money back and at this point I wouldn’t believe anything they tell me. Overloaded from the pandemic yeah uh right. Now you no longer list the chair I ordered as available so why aren’t you filling my order? If I can file charges against them I will. By the way whomever is trying to do damage control please save us the excuses and issue full refunds. If you are so busy as you claim then you shouldn’t have any problem cancelling orders for those of us who are waiting.

We understand your frustration. We were truly backed up. We hired more staff to handle it. We did take off a number of chairs since we need to fulfill the orders we received for them. Shopper approved, Revdex.com and other testimonial sites are completely independent of seatingmind. Not even one of those reviews are phony. You can research those sites. Back to your order - I personally sent the department head your information and you will hear from them very shortly. Please wait - do not do a charge back. It complicates matters. A few more days of waiting and you will get a response.

They claim to sell refurbished chairs, but what they actually do is just remove the parts that are broken and then send you what left. They sent me a chair that had the entire reclining assembly removed.

Your company is extremely sketchy. I do not trust you to make this right. I do trust my credit card company to make this right. I've already filed the dispute. I hope it DOES complicate matters. The Vice President of your company has been harassing me with misspelled emails all day.

This company is a scam., and the price really is too good to be true.

I placed my order May 7. I was told there would be a delay due to covid and it wouldn't ship for 7-10 business days but they had it in the warehouse. I began contacting them after 10 bus. days and was initially given excuses, and finally told it would ship no later than Friday May 5th. I have emailed 3-4 times since then and they are no longer replying to my emails which included a request for a refund.

Please accept our apologies for the delay. The good news is that the fedex number we provided shows expected delivery on 6/18.

Very disappointed in my experience. My order was completely incorrect and incomplete. I ordered a Cobalt Blue Aeron and received a Black one. Also, it was missing the headrest accessory that I paid extra for. After I received the chair, I agreed to keep the Black, rather than ship it back, and they promised to ship a headrest separately. More than 2 months later... still no headrest.

When I purchased my chair, I'm pretty sure that it did not indicate that it was Refurbished. I know that doesn't show up on my invoice. However, when I received it, it was partially assembled, and it included none of the original packaging, instructions or warranty information. Also, the wheels were so dirty/greasy that they stained my carpet where I unpackaged the chair. Now it appears that all chairs on their site indicate 'Refurbished', so I guess that's all they actually sell.

Full timeline of events for my order with seatingmind (SM):
2020-03-16 09:35 : Order #18670 confirmed: $524.00 total - Cobalt Blue fully-optioned Herman Miller Aeron chair, + optional Leather Headrest ($49.00 option)
2020-04-02 14:58 : I notified SM that I received a chair (black), but no headrest. Requested to keep chair & have headrest sent.
2020-04-03 03:51 : SM confirms that they will ship the headrest.
2020-04-03 16:08 : I sent query about when the headrest would ship.
-- No Response.
2020-05-08 07:26 : I sent additional query about when headrest would ship.
2020-05-08 09:38 : SM states headrest will ship on May 18 and requests confirmation that this is OK.
2020-05-08 09:49 : I agreed to ship date: May 18. Requested confirmation that headrest is black.
2020-05-08 11:11 : SM confirms that headrest will be black.
2020-05-19 14:18 : I request tracking number, since stated ship date has past.
2020-05-21 01:02 : SM now states that headrest will be in stock by the end of May.
2020-05-29 19:11 : I request tracking number again.
-- No response.
2020-06-05 06:39 : I request refund of the cost of the headrest.
-- No response.
2020-06-08 12:41 : I inform SM that I require a tracking number or confirmation of refund by Wednesday (2020-06-10) or I will request chargeback from CC and report to Revdex.com.
-- No response.
2020-06-11 11:20 : As promised, I've requested a chargeback of $49 from CC and I'm now reporting the issue to the Revdex.com.

For the record. every single product on the web site had a condition field in the features section that stated new or refurbished. We never hid that information. You may have not noticed that. Just for the record, Revdex.com only notified us today 6/16 of this issue. They are supposed to represent the customer but they failed to do that by holding on to the complaint for 5 days before passing it along to us.

Order #46566. Its been over 14 business days (the promised amount of time to ship). The tracking number I was given says that the order has not been filled and the package has not arrived at FedEx. The company requested $99 yesterday to "expedite" my shipping. What the does that mean? They're late on my order and are now asking for more money....Based on other reviews this smells like a scam.

We are in business over 15 years and processed this year alone many thousands of orders. We are catching up and ask for your understanding. The pandemic set us back a bit. W e hired more staff a number of times and are working around the clock for many months. In order to help you I sent an urgent internal email to [email protected] who will get back to very shortly. Real sorry for the frustration we caused but we are really doing our best under the circumstances.

I ordered a $500 chair from this company 20+ days ago. They gave me a shipping order number with FedEx which still says that the order has not been filled. I've sent several emails to customer service and even tried calling 2 separate numbers. I've only received a response email that someone will get back to me in "48 hours" which they never do. This is a scam of a company. DO NOT BUY.

I received a partial shipment of a chair long after it was promised and complete silence on the not shipped headrest which is a $150 item I paid for and was not delivered. Avoid if you expect to business with a credible vendor. A gamble at best.

The worst customer experience ever. My order arrived incorrect and dirty. It took six weeks, and after multiple attempts to receive a response, to get a partial refund. 100% guarantee is incorrect. They subtract for return shipping and restocking fees even though the mistake was on their end. I would never recommend doing business with this company.

Made an order over 6 weeks ago, no shipping notification, vague responses from customer service. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

We were going though a pandemic that impacted us as well. We added staffing and it still was not enough. We spologize for your experience but please check out shopper approved, search for seating mind and you will see that we are truly a world class company.

The chair I received was not what I ordered. Also, it was delivered covered in dirt. When I returned the chair, they kept $100 of my money as a "re-stocking" fee. They said that I "changed my mind" about the chair vs. acknowledging that they sent me the wrong, used chair. They falsely advertised the chair and the fact that they have "free returns" to make you feel comfortable to buy, but when they send you the wrong item, you'll be blamed. After being blamed, they kept a huge chunk of my money!

Do not under any circumstances buy anything from seatingmind. These guys are total crooks. Their stuff is not “like new”, it is old, dirty and worn. I bought the aeron from them. And to top it off, they hide the 20% restocking fee- nowhere is it in the purchase path. And they’ll just ask for more time to get to your email. But they actually have no plans to make you while.

How to handle them: dispute the credit card transaction and get all your money back.

I submitted an urgent internal message to [email protected] to review your orders. There seems to have been lots of communication with customer service since you had two orders. One order was refunded and the other was refunded. There are notes indicating that you cancelled. Since this is somewhat confusing, I asked the support team to review the history of these orders and get back to you.

I placed two orders with Seating Mind (#20625 and #20627) for fully featured Herman Miller Aeron chairs w. PostureFit backsupport at the begin of the April, and received the delivery approximately 18 days later. To be exactly, these chairs were shipped within on the 15-th business day after order, still in full compliance with Seating Mind terms & agreements, and it took 4 days for FedEx delivery. Too long? But, with the current pandemic situation, and millions of professionals in the US working from home, good office chairs became a hot commodity. Amazon does not have Aerons, and if they get some, they want $1395 per piece. Herman Miller will ship to you in 3 weeks for $1295 plus shipment.
My total order for both chairs (w PostureFit back adjustments) was under $1000 with delivery. Let’s make sure that we are clear on what is an Aeron chair. According to many reviews, it is the best office chair, US-build, and its design is a golden standard for ergonomic comfort and adjustment. Most copied and imitated by Asians' furniture makers. Very solidly built, and it does not show wear and tear after years of normal (office) use.

We work around the clock to satisfy as best as we can all of our customers but people are expecting a brand new chair for half the price as you said. We have been working through the pandemic to help everyone with their new work environment at home. We made mistakes as every company does from time to time but we sincerely go out of our way to correct them. Unfortunately there are customers that will never be satisfied as much as we try. I wish I had done my research before buying anything from this company. Lessons learned, don't make the same mistake.

The site is easy to navigate and choose products. After buying the nightmare starts. First, they take your money. Second, they ask you to review your experience, no wonder why they claim their reviews are 4.6/5.0 (THE CLIENT HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT THE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE THAT IT WILL TURN INTO). After 15 business days, I requested to cancel my order, because they failed their OWN policy about shipping. Shortly after, they failed to reimburse me in 4-5 business days as they say on their website.

Lastly but not less important, they DID NOT refund me the whole amount. In tough times like this, people should be aware of this unscrupulous business.

My experience with this company has been one of a pure scam. I ordered a chair for 600$ in March and never got either a tracking number or any response whatsoever to my messages (via the website and over phone). When I disputed the charge with my credit card company (Chase), they then contacted Chase to tell them that I "Cancelled" the order, which I never did. Nobody will answer to me over at SeatingMind and they lied to my credit card company. Stay as far away as possible from those crooks. You were warned.

I only received the complaint to day from Revdex.com. It is unfortunate that they are supposed to represent you and it took them a few weeks to notify seatingmind of your complaint. I looked up your order. It was placed on March 15. We sent you probably within 24 hours a fedex tracking number 391162983715. You dispute the charge on 4/15. We were in the midst of the pandemic and we were pretty much in the time frame posted on the web site regarding the time needed for shipping. I do not have any more details at this moment. I sent an urgent internal email to [email protected] to see what happened. Generally disputes are out of our control and you need to deal with the bank. But in order to help you out, I did send this email to support as I mentioned. They will contact you shortly.

I ordered a chair from Seating Mind on April 27th and did not receive any shipping info until it was dropped on my doorstep on Wednesday, May 13th. The chair was delivered damaged and outside the box in pieces. I immediately contacted the company and still have had no resolution to my issue. I have sent pictures of the damage twice and was just asked a third time to send pictures. I have asked multiple times for someone to contact me via phone to discuss this and nothing. You can not get anyone on the phone and they don't respond for days at a time via email. I still have a damaged chair sitting in my living room in pieces with no way to ship it back and no replacement chair being sent. They have been paid for the chair but they do not care about their customers and do not back their products. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. Do not buy from this place! The discounted chair is not worth the aggravation and trouble to deal with people that just don't care about customer service.

This will get resolved. We were impacted by the pandemic. We actually hired more customer service staff in the recent past and I sent your complaint internally to the people that I know will get back to you. Please give us 48 hours. If you have not heard back, contact *** and/or back here. This should never have happened.

Failed Humanscale Freedom Chair on 2/25/19, I had issues with the chair as of 3/14/19 that I requested a return on that they asked for photos and pictures. The seat mechanism was not locking and was broken and the arms were not assembled properly.

These were sent on 3/18/19, received no response back followed up on 4/19/2019, and still no response back.

I sucked it up and just dealt with it assuming that it was something I could figure out how to work with. However, on 2/3/2020 I contacted them again letting them know that now the right arm had broken, and the leather on both the left armrest and the center seat had begun to crack and what the warranty process is. This chair has had maybe 4-6 hrs of use 5 days a week in a home office, not heavily used any way you look at it but again received no response.

I followed up again on 4/27/2020 again to no response as of today and just will begin to assume that his company has no ability to handle customer service properly.

"I sent them an email requesting images" was the response I received from customer service.

Please have the customer deal with us in one forum, not shopper approved and trustpilot and Revdex.com. There was a pandemic and the breakdown in communication did occur in the height of the pandemic. I went through our back channels and received the response I posted in a matter of hours so this will be addressed. Thank you for your understanding.
