He was also honest on how I could save some money by going to purchase a humidifier filter myself and showed me how to replace it. I really recommend him. Eric and Cornelius are top notch HVAC technicians at Shavitz. Cornelius refurbished our condominium garage exhaust fan to as good as new condition, and Eric got our electric hallway furnace in our common elements working better than it had in years. We have always had trouble keeping our hallways warm since our unit takes in 100% outside air, but Eric was able to tweak the system so it is now putting out 100 degree air even at zero degree outside temperatures. Three cheers for Shavitz, and Eric and Cornelius. Highly recommended... give them a try!
We've had positive experiences with Shavitz over the years, and this weekend (coldest of the winter so far) was no exception. Our 18 year old furnace finally died, and within ~24 hours we had a new system installed thanks to Shavitz. The 2 installers who did the work (Mirek & Linas) were courteous & professional and cleaned up after themselves.
We have along-standing relation with Shavitz heating and AC and trust them to replace, repair, and maintain our heating/cooling systems. Every one of the technical staff who have come to the house have done an excellent professional job, provided useful information, and give early warnings for parts or units that are beginning to show indications (from their measurments) of requiring replacement in near future. They are always polite and take special care to clean up after themselves. The front office scheduler is also to be commended. I have not written any reviews for previous technical staff but twice already Cornelius M has come to the house for the maintenance of the heating and AC and I am specially pleased with the way he conducted himself and the outcome, so I have just signed up for another 3 years of maintenance work with Shavitz.
On November 3, 2016 Cornelius, the maintenance technician from Shavitz, came to our house for our annual furnace cleaning and inspection. He checked our furnace out and adjusted it as necessary; then went over with me what he did and gave me some suggestions. He has taken care of our furnace before and always does a very good job. I have a great deal of confidence in him.
Manny & Ernie moved our hot water heater and installed a new high efficiency furnace in our home yesterday. Their workmanship is highly professional,efficient & neat -- and their demeanor is respectful and friendly. The job is complete and working perfectly.

I received a call a day before the appointment to confirm it and also a call on the day of the appointment to notify me when the technician was few minutes away from our home. The technician, Cornelius, was very knowledgable, polite, and respectful of our home. He diagnosed and fixed all the problems and also gave valuable advice about the operation and maintenance of our heating and cooling systems. Could not have been happier with the service received!

Cornelius & Jesse went above and beyond the call of duty to fix the intermittent trouble we were experiencing with our furnace. After two hours of monitoring and trouble shooting a resolution was found and the problem resolved. Our furnace has been working like a champ ever since with no 'intermittent failures' like we were having before.
