The Worst company to deal with Tried to cancel, could not do so Tried to change address, months later still waiting for magazines I've paid for Customer service is rude and hostile Actually told me that I could "get a lawyer" to help me out Unbelievable, all this over magazines!

This company says I ordered some magazines which I denied After the first magazines arrived, I asked them to cancel and they stated I could not cancel and had to pay for the next months They call me at least or more times a dayEach time I talk to them they say I cannot cancel and must pay themIn the meantime the bill continues to rise

In I started a subscription with United Readers and thought it was for only a year and misunderstood the agreement and it ended up being more than I planned on for dollar amountDuring this time I didn't get all the magazines on a timely matter and was paying for a service I didn't getI wanted to back out and they told me it was a 2yr contractI thought it was only a year and I paid over a month for this serviceI cancelled and thought it was all taken care of until I received a call last week saying I was in collections for this companyI have never heard anything regarding this since and now they show up out of nowhere wanting more money from meI am not going to pay them anymore I cancelled and have not received any magazines or bills or anything from this company for yearsPlease help me get this taken care of and off my record

My father, whose health and memory are failing, apparently was sold on buying magazine subscriptions thru Easy Readers Services of Lakewood, OH under the umbrella of contest entriesHe does not recall ordering magazines nor desire to continue the subscriptionSince he has been in the hospital or rehab for most of the past several months and is suffering from end stage health issues,As his POA I have assumed most of his financial duties and trying to help get his affairs in orderI have contacted several other companies with similar issues and they cancelled the subscriptions with no problem When I have contacted Easy Readers, they have been nothing short of rude and belligerent Despite explaining he doesn't even remember ordering their service and is entering his last few months, they would not cancel the subscription and because I called from my phone not his, they said they would not discuss his account only with my dadWhen I explained I was his POA, they said I would nee

My mother has dementia, this company is taking her money after locking her into a year contract over the phoneI tried to cancel the contract letting them know she is incapable of making the cognitive decision to enter any contract with anyone, they will not cancel the contract

As the owner of a salon, I used United Readers Services for years When I closed the shop in November 2014, I elected to change the account into my name, pay out the contract, and have the magazines delivered to my residence until the contract was paid in full
The only contact I had with United Readers Service was quite some time agoThe representative called to combine two separately billed accounts, I agreedIf that was a renewal call, It was not made clear Otherwise I was not contacted about renewal I was totally shocked when I received a bill for $I live alone and have no need for so many magazines
Representatives have called numerous times for collectionSays she has tapes for me to hear on which I agreed to pay for renewal Seems every time I am able to listen to the tape, they are not available or no longer available I've asked to speak with a supervisor or someone with more authority but to no avail
I have written several letters requesting cancella
