On 09/09/the consumer contacted DCI requesting informationDCI’s representative attempted to verify the party speaking, however the consumer refused only using vulgar languageDue to the disturbing language being used, the representative disconnected the call. On 09/09/2016, the consumer contacted DCI for a second timeDCI’s representative again attempted to verify with whom they were speaking with and again the consumer began with vulgar language and the call was disconnected. The consumer claims that DCI has no authority to perform business in the state of CaliforniaDCI holds a certificate of authority number with the state. DCI has cease collection efforts on the referenced account and has closed the account in our officeA deletion request has been submitted to the credit reporting agencies. DCI for collection is the result of identity theft and requests it be removed from her credit report. DCI has reviewed this matter and the findings are below. On March 23, 2018, Comcast Cable placed an account with DCI for collection for [redacted] in the amount of $1,975.27. On March 28, 2018, an initial collection notice was mailed for the account. On May 22, 2018, in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the account was reported to the credit bureau. On June 4, 2018, DCI spoke with [redacted] who stated the account is the result of identity theft. DCI updated the account to a fraud status. [redacted] must contact the creditor at: https://www.xfinity.com/fraudclaimform or their fraud hotline: 844-335-8719 in order for her identity theft claim to be processed and investigated. On June 8, 2018, the creditor re-called the account. DCI closed the account and returned it to the creditor. DCI will conduct no further collection activity regarding this matter. has requested its entry be removed from [redacted]’s credit report. In compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, DCI submitted the account to the Credit Reporting Agencies as an open collection account on April 9, 2018. Upon receipt of [redacted] Revdex.com complaint, DCI updated the account status internally as a dispute, updated the Credit Reporting Agencies as a dispute, and notified Comcast of the fraud claim. Having researched the matter, please note the following: On 3/4/2016, Sprint placed the account with DCI for collection in the amount of $1,216.48. DCI attempted phone contact with Ms. [redacted] with no success until 5/30/2017, at which time, Ms. [redacted] verified herself but then disconnected the call. On 6/15/2017, DCI attempted phone contact with Ms. [redacted] again. She verified herself but then disconnected the call. On 7/6/2017, Ms. [redacted] submitted a dispute via credit bureau. At that time, DCI placed the account in dispute and the credit bureaus were updated accordingly. On 7/24/2017, DCI received notice via mail that Ms. [redacted] requested validation of the account. On 7/25/2017, validation documents were mailed out to the last known address on file. At this time, DCI has closed the account in our office and a credit deletion has been submitted to the credit reporting agencies. Due to Ms. [redacted] claiming she never lived at the address on the Sprint bill, I have attached a fraud form for her to complete and return to Sprint, if she would like to proceed the account as fraud. DCI received notification from Verizon stating the account will be updated as paid in full when the Credit Bureau processes the updated information. On May 7, 2018, Verzion notified DCI of a partial payment in the amount of $351.71 being paid directly to Verizon, leaving a balance of $63.30. DCI has closed the account internally. I am rejecting this response because:They are lying: they have been calling since early 2016. They have called over 100 times. I have the records to prove it. Although I'm sure the records show illegally spoofed numbers.If the Revdex.com simply takes their word for it, and believes that they will stop harassing me, the Revdex.com is worthless and it's time for me to call a lawyer and the police.Stalking and harassment is a crime. Lying about it just makes you an even bigger sg.They can say "we will remove your number" 10 times (they've said it 10 times+ to me) - it doesn't mean they wont be calling me again next month.

DCI attempted to contact Ms. [redacted] by phone with no success. In compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, DCI submitted the account to the Credit Reporting Agencies as an open collection account on June 8, 2015. On October 30, 2015, DCI received mail correspondence from Ms. [redacted], requesting validation and to only be contacted via mail. DCI updated the account status internally as a dispute, updated the Credit Reporting Agencies as a dispute and notified Sprint of the dispute. DCI mailed validation to the mailing address provided on the correspondence on November 7, 2015. Ms. [redacted] contacted DCI on February 15, 2018, requesting to close the account for an amount less than owed and stating she did not remember the account. DCI and Ms. [redacted] agreed to close the account for $215.34. DCI closed the account internally and updated the Credit Reporting Agencies as closed for an amount less than owed.

I am rejecting this response because:  although DCI states written and phone communication was attempted,  there was nothing received on my end.  I have not received any phone calls or mailings.  Again,  I request this alleged debt be removed as the company has violated the FCRA with failing to properly validate this alleged debt.

placed the account with DCI for collection in the amount of $2,197.71. On 5/17/2017, DCI mailed an initial collection notice to Ms. [redacted]’s address providing her the right to dispute. DCI attempted phone contact with no success until 5/16/2017. On 5/11/2017 DCI received an adjustment of $205.92 decreasing the balance to $1991.79. On 5/16/2017, DCI attempted phone contact with Ms. [redacted], at which time, she asked the agent to hold on but never returned and the call was then disconnected. On 5/30/2017, DCI made contact again with Ms. [redacted]; she stated she disputed the account because she returned the equipment. At that time, DCI placed the account in dispute and updated the credit bureaus accordingly. On 7/7/2017, Ms. [redacted] made phone contact with DCI at which time she settled the account in the amount of $900.00. At that time, the account was closed in our office as ‘Settled in Full.’ In reviewing the account, DCI has found a discrepancy in credit reporting. Due to this error, DCI has requested a credit deletion to be submitted to the credit reporting agencies. The account remains is closed in our office and has been recalled to Sprint. Ms. [redacted] will not receive any further contact from DCI. Should she have any further questions or concerns regarding the account, she will need to contact Sprint, directly. Thank you for allowing me to assist with this matter.
