disputed the account placed with DCI and has stated that she has no contract with DCI and has never done business with DCI. Ms. [redacted] requests the account be removed from her credit report. DCI has reviewed this matter and the findings are below. DCI is a third-party debt collection agency that was retained by Ms. [redacted]’s creditor to collect on a past-due account. On January 15, 2018, Time Warner placed an account with DCI for collection for Ms. [redacted] in the amount of $380.78. The account results to Ms. [redacted]’s Charter Communication service. On January 16, 2018, an initial collection letter was mailed to Ms. [redacted]. Upon receipt of Ms. [redacted]’s complaint, DCI placed the account into a dispute status and notified the creditor. The creditor has provided validation information confirming the balance is accurate. Enclosed is a copy of the validation information, which will also be mailed to Ms. [redacted]. The account is being reported on Ms. [redacted]’s credit report in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Ms. [redacted] may contact DCI at 904-247-5500 to discuss the account. This complaint was forwarded to Diversified Consultants Inc., however, DCI has no wrongdoing in this matter. Sincerely,

May 18, 2018 Dear Ms. [redacted], Diversified Consultants, Inc. (DCI) acknowledges receipt of the above-referenced complaint that was submitted to the Revdex.com Serving Northeast Florida & Southeast Atlantic on May 10, 2018. DCI understands Mr. [redacted] has explained...

that he does not believe the account placed with DCI belongs to him, but he will pay the account if it will be removed from his credit report. DCI has reviewed this matter and the findings are below. On February 5, 2018, AT&T Mobility placed the above referenced account with DCI for collection for Mr. [redacted] in the amount of $786.79. On February 8, 2018, an initial collection notice was mailed to Mr. [redacted], which provided him with notice of the account and his right to dispute the account within 30 days of receipt. The notice was mailed to the address listed in Mr. [redacted]’s complaint. DCI has no record of a mail return of this letter. DCI has no record of receiving a dispute notice within the 30-day validation period. On March 26, 2018, in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the account was reported on Mr. [redacted]’s credit report. On April 26, 2018, DCI spoke with Mr. [redacted] who stated that he is living in Germany and would pay the account if it will be deleted from his credit report. DCI spoke with Mr. [redacted] on other occasions and explained that the credit report would be updated to reflect the account as paid if he in fact paid the account. DCI has placed the account into a dispute status and requested validation information from the creditor, which will be mailed to Mr. [redacted] upon receipt. Although the account was reported accurately and in compliance with the FCRA, as a courtesy to Mr. [redacted], DCI has requested its entry be removed from his credit report. P.O. desired resolution is to have the account removed from her credit report. Having researched this matter, please note the following: On January 15, 2018, AT&T placed an account with DCI for collections on a balance of $330.00. DCI mailed an initial balance letter to Ms. [redacted] to the address provided on file on January 18, 2018. DCI submitted the account to the Credit Reporting Agencies as an open collection account in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act on March 5, 2018. DCI contacted Ms. [redacted] on March 5, 2018, at which time Ms. [redacted] advised she had paid AT&T directly and wants DCI to remove the item from her credit report. On March 12, 2018 DCI contacted Ms. [redacted] at which time she advised she paid the account to AT&T directly. DCI placed the account in a dispute status internally, updated the Credit Reporting Agencies as a dispute, and notified AT&T of the dispute. On March 14, 2018, DCI closed the account internally and submitted a deletion request to the Credit Reporting Agencies. P.O. This information caused the account to re-open and report to the Credit Reporting Agencies as a paid in full status. Upon receipt of Ms. [redacted]’ Revdex.com complaint DCI submitted a deletion request to the Credit Reporting Agencies. The AUD number for the request is [redacted]. DCI cannot affect a change as to when the Credit Bureau processes the request submitted related to the account. DCI is committed to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction and trains its representatives to follow all applicable state and federal laws while performing collection activity. Should DCI learn that a representative has failed to follow any of DCI’s policies and procedures while handling an account, DCI will address the matter with the representative and ensure that the representative is appropriately retrained and/or disciplined in accordance with DCI’s Disciplinary Action Policy. matter, please note the following: On 4/17/2017, Comcast Cable placed the account with DCI for collection with a balance of $752.03. DCI attempted phone contact with no success. On 9/25/2017, DCI notified Comcast Cable of Ms. [redacted] complaint. Upon review, Comcast recalled the account from our office and a credit deletion has been submitted to the credit reporting agencies. this matter, please note the following: On 7/31/2017, AT&T U-Verse placed the account with DCI for collection with a balance of $278.23. On 8/2/2017, DCI mailed Ms. [redacted] an initial balance letter providing her the right to dispute. DCI attempted phone contact with no success. In response to Ms. [redacted] claiming she does not have a contract with DCI, DCI is a third party collection agency and does not need nor require a contract with consumers. DCI has a contractual agreement with AT&T to perform collections on their behalf. At this time, DCI has placed the account in dispute status and updated the credit bureaus accordingly. Validation documents have been requested to be mailed to Ms. [redacted] address. Ms. [redacted] will not receive any further contact from DCI. Should she have any further questions or concerns, she may contact DCI and an agent will assist. Thank you for allowing me to assist with this matter. This complaint has been directed toward Diversified Consultants, Incorporated; however, DCI has no wrongdoing in this matter.

removed from her credit report. Having researched this matter, please note the following: On April 24, 2017, Sprint placed an account with DCI for collections on a balance of $1,194.58. DCI attempted to contact Ms. [redacted] by phone with no success. In compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, DCI submitted the account to the Credit Reporting Agencies as an open collection account on June 24, 2017. On April 23, 2018, DCI received mail correspondence from Ms. [redacted] requesting validation. DCI updated the account status internally as a dispute, updated the Credit Reporting Agencies as a dispute and notified Sprint of the dispute. DCI mailed validation from Sprint to the address provided on the correspondence on April 25, 2018. Upon receipt of Ms. [redacted] Revdex.com complaint, DCI has attached validation provided from Sprint to be reviewed by Ms. [redacted]. The account will remain in dispute status until the dispute is resolved. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, it is the practice of DCI to report the true and accurate status of an account. DCI does not remove accounts from Credit Bureaus.
