Review: they called and offered me huge discounts for switching my electric service to them. I did and didn't really see much difference until now. My current electric bill is higher now in febuary than it was in august running three air conditioners. The amount charged to me should be illegal. I was trying to save money and these people are robbing me. I called at the end of January to cancel my account with them after con edison informed me of my high rate with them so I thought all was okay from here on out but I still got a bill for Febuary at almost 40cents a kwh. They THEN informed me that the low rate I signed up for was only good for 2 months and that because I closed my account after the [redacted]of the month I was getting billed for the whole month. I believe there has got to be some laws to help me on this. They never disclosed any of this to me. The rate for the month before was .12 cents per kwh and never have I seen my rate go this high. Its like their trying to get all they can out of me because I cancelled my service.Desired Settlement: I want them to adjust my bill from the date of my cancellation.

Review: Smart One Energy contacted us in regards to partnering with [redacted], our local gas company. They promised to provide an introductory discount as well as offer competitive market rates in supplying natural gas. Well, a month or so into it, my gas bill was astronomical. true that it was an exceptionally cold California winter but as soon as the second bill arrived I knew something was amiss. I tried contacting Smart One to no avail; either the customer service line was busy or rang and rang and rang and then disconnected. Several attempts later, I finally reached someone who assured me that they would cancel it the next billing cycle. that did not happen, so I called again and am now in the third billing cycle to which they have not canceled the service. In speaking with my local gas company, they have had many complaints and have assigned it a case number. Smart One claims to have no control over billing and blames my local gas company for the charges. I am now going on 4mo of dealing with this headache and again cannot get through to their customer service. What's worse is that they have no website and no email and when searching online, all I find are lawsuits, complaint forums, and articles on the negatives of this company. In fact, the Revdex.com has many complaints on this company as well so I am not sure how Smart One continues to be in business.Desired Settlement: This is the 4th month that the bill is more than double of what the normal bill should be. I would like to have this company stopped in their tracks and I would like a resolution in the amount of a full refund for 4 months. I would also like to figure how they can lie about canceling the service. how is this business still in service?

Review: "On 12/**/15 approx. 1:30 PT I received a marketing call from Smart One Energy, telling me I had qualified for a 10% discount on my [redacted] Gas billing and all they needed to do was verify my account number on my [redacted] invoice. I asked repeatedly if this was sponsored by [redacted] and was given vague responses. They knew exactly where I would find my number on my invoice and directed me step by step to the location of the Gas number. I asked several times if this was a 3rd party provider and was told I would only receive a bill from [redacted] and was not signing any contract. I simply had to accept the offer to sign up for the discount service.

I stated again, time after time, I would only accept this offer "IF" it was sponsored by [redacted]. I asked for a phone number and said I would be calling [redacted] to verify and if it wasn't legit, I would be calling back.

I called [redacted], and they confirmed Smart One Energy, LLC was a 3rd party provider and they could not do anything to undo the change and I would have to contact them. They also confirmed they had received numerous other calls regarding Smart One Energy, LLC and the phone number they gave me, ###-###-#### was the same number other callers had given them.

I immediately called the number and the recording said to call back during normal business hrs. of 9 to 5 M-TH and 9 to 3 on Fri. It did not state which time zone so I was calling a little after 2:00 PT only to later find out they were located in New York.

The next morning 12/**/15 at 6:30 PT, 9:30 ET I started calling the number. You are given (3) choices. Press 1 to join Smart One service, Press 2 for Customer Service and Press 3 for Billing.

Twice I had called pressing (2) for customer service and was placed on hold for one hour, where the recording kept saying all operators were unavailable and please hold. That message repeated about every 3 minutes. When it hit one hour it said Goodbye and disconnected the call.

I called twice and pressed (1) for new service and again was placed on hold. After 3 minutes the recording at least said please leave your number and someone would return the call. Twice I left a number.

I called again this time pressing (3) for Billing and again was placed on hold with a repeated message all operators unavailable please hold every 3 minutes. The first time I was disconnected after 20 minutes and the second time it disconnected after an hour.

NO ONE EVER came on the line to speak to me NOR did anyone call me back. I will ASSUME no one will be there on Christmas Day and will restart my quest to contact them on Monday Dec. [redacted] to try to cancel any change over of my Gas account. I want to STAY with [redacted].

BUYER BE AWARE!!! They totally misrepresented themselves and I would love to get a hold of the recording of my conversation with them that proves how they play a shell game and side step the direct questions. This phone experience is a BIG FLARE of what kind of customer service you will NOT be getting. I am fearful of various service charges they may add to my bill.Desired Settlement: I want my [redacted] gas service retained and/or restored if Smart One Energy made any changes with NO CHARGES to me. I tried to cancel this switch over just minutes after the marketing call and again for HOURS the following day to contact them. I did my part in a timely manner, I expect them to do the same with NO interruption in my [redacted] gas service.

Review: Unsolicted call received 9/*/15 from Smart Energy. Caller [redacted], granddaughter to [redacted]. Caller represented smart energy as associated with PG&E. Caller requested and received PG&E account # from [redacted], who is not on this pge account. No verbal agreement was performed for services. [redacted]. never s/w caller. On 9/* I called PG&E with concerns over the call. Representative said pg&e could not assist that if there was a contract with smart energy, they would have to cancell the contract. No other assistsnce was offered. I s/w [redacted] id# [redacted] of smart energy, ###-###-####, he said there was an agreement completed yesterday allowing Smart energy to provide gas services to [redacted] via pg&e and that all billing by Smart energy would route thru pg&e. I reintersted that no agreement for services with smart energy was done and that [redacted] was not authorized on this pge account. I requested [redacted] cancel any service request being processed by smart energy. He acknowledged he would do so. I further informed [redacted] that I would file a complaint with Revdex.com and that any charges submitted by smart energy would be fraudulent.Desired Settlement: [redacted] will not be responsible for any fees charged by smart energy and that this company not contact her again.

Review: On 12/**/2014, received two calls from Smart One Energy. One call at/around 5 pm and one call early in the afternoon. The caller, "[redacted]," stated that I qualify for a 15% discount on my gas bill from [redacted]. He asked for my acct number for the discount to be applied to my next two billing cycles. I reluctantly gave him my account number and he transferred me to his [redacted] "[redacted]" for "quality assurance" purposes in which he confirmed my name, address, phone number and account number. Smart One Energy is a third party gas provider. This company was very misleading, deceiving and evasive. I have no intention on switching my gas company provider to Smart One Energy and want to keep my current provider. At no time was it expressed that excepting this discount would start a contract with Smart One Energy Company.Desired Settlement: Cancel any contract/agreement (which I did not make or agree) with Smart One Energy and reinstate my account with [redacted], effective immediately. 12/**/2014. Cease service with Smart One Energy immediately and maintain my current provider [redacted]. Refund any fraudulent(higher charges compared to [redacted]). Inform consumers of Smart One Energy fraudulent practices.

Review: I received a call from a Sales person stating I could receive 20% off, however, no one informed my service would change. I did not nor did I want to switch my services. I called Washington Gas who was unable to help me. They informed me that I have to contact Smart One directly ([redacted]). I have done so over 10 times, left several messages with no return call. What can I do now. I DO NOT want service with them.Desired Settlement: I want this service cancelled immediately.

Review: I received a call from Smart One Energy, LLC (SOE) in April 2013. I do not recall providing written nor verbal consent to switch from [redacted]. I discovered early this year that SOE was my gas supplier - not [redacted]. From 2013 to 2015, SOE 's rates were not competitive in relation to the rates that were offered by [redacted]. When doing a comparison between rates during that time period, SOE's rates were always significantly higher than [redacted]. Had [redacted] remained my gas supplier, I would have not been overcharged for gas purchased. When I found out early this year that I had been switched, I immediately took measures to switch back to [redacted]. Since I was overcharged and am no longer an SOE customer, I am seeking a refund for the amount that I was overcharged.Desired Settlement: The company has a responsibility to provide a quality service (e.g., competitive rates, plans, etc.) to its customers, and to not deceive potential customers into thinking they will receive better rates than their current gas supplier. What incentive do you offer potential customers if you can't offer rates that are less than, if not equal to, your competitors? When trying to entice customers to switch, you should provide competitive rates, or offer them a plan with a fixed monthly rate. That way, we are not paying more - we are paying less - for the same service.

Review: I was call on many ocasion about getting a discount when I spoke ro representatives I wanted it to make sure it was only a discount I was receiving not a enrollement on a contract this company mislead people on believing is a discount an instead they enrolled me on a electric supplier I call on the first week of august when my [redacted] bill was too high and ive told them to cancel this because I was supossed to get only a discount not a extra bill this company also when you call it advertise cancel at any time now I received a bill dated august ** to sep ** 2014 end of billing cicle wheres the cancel at any time my complain is that I said ok to a discount not to a added bill because [redacted] do provide and deliver.Desired Settlement: I dont want to ever received a phone call from this company all they do is lie and mislead hard working people as myself.

Review: Washington Gas is my gas provider. I am a single person who does not cook! I eat out every night. So imagine my surprise when my approximate $30 bill has now turn into over $400. My bill with Washington Gas is $200, but I now have a bill for over $200 for Smart One Energy. When I was approached by Smart One a couple of years ago, I was told that my monthly bill would not change and that in fact in some cases it would be cheaper. For the most part that was true. All of a sudden, my bill has ballooned! I called Washington Gas and was told that if I did not have Smart One Energy, my bill would only be $200 (it's high because I have not paid my bill due to monetary issues). Nonetheless, I feel as though I was lied to. I would not have signed up for this program had I known it was going to unnecessarily double my bill. Washington Gas advised me to call Smart One to cancel, but I am having no luck. I've left messages on a toll free number and have not received a call back. I've called several times (several different times of the day) with no luck. I even chose the option to enroll in the plan with no luck. Now I feel as though I am stuck with this service that is of no use to me and it is continuously skyrocketing.Desired Settlement: First, I want to cancel this service as soon as possible. I feel as though I enrolled in this plan under false pretenses. I would also like Smart One Energy to forgive my current bill with them for the aggravation.

Review: I received a call from a man - I thought was a representative from the Washington Gas Company from Springfield VA.

The man said the Washington Gas was offering me a discount on my gas bill. He did not say anything about a Smart One Energy LLC. The date this man called was December **, 2015.

On December **, 2015, I received a letter from my Washington Gas Company informing me that I recently requested that Smart One Energy LLC be my new natural gas provider for my Washington Gas account at my home address. And that this new supplier charges will be effective February *, 2016, and will be reflected on my following month's billing statement.Desired Settlement: I Never requested Smart One Energy LLC to be my natural gas provider. I do not know anything about this company. They call me addressing themselves as a Washington Gas representative.

I Do Not want Smart One Energy LLC to be my natural gas provider. I want Only Washington Gas to continue to be my natural gas provider. I want this matter with Smart One Energy LLC canceled as soon as possible. I have called them since 9am on Jan *, 2016, and as of 11:47 am, I only received messages saying: I have reached them during Non-business hours. Cancel this account Smart One Energy LLC has set up for my address.

Review: They called me up and told me I qualify for cheaper gas because I use more then most people that I will always save money there gas is always cheaper. Then find out there gas is more expensive the first winter bill is almost 70 dollars more. There sales department told me lies and I sighed up with them under false pretense and was lied to by them. Absolutely a scam and the lure you in by telling you they are guaranteed cheaper gas rates.... They have NEVER been cheaper gas on any of my bills.Desired Settlement: Credit me back to my bill the amount Pg E my regular company's gas bill price. I would like to see them go to jail and be closed down.

I would like a refund of 70.00 dollars for the month of December. The difference of what my bill should have been if they did FLAT out lie to me about what my bill would be. The resolution for me would be a 70.00 refund to me or my account. I want 70.00 dollars back any way they want to do it. That is the 70 dollar overcharge for their gas above what my bill should have been from my original company if they had not lied and switched me. Please call me if I can better explain to you how and what they did and why I know 70.00 dollars is what they owe me.
