I received a second denial from SLS Assest, listing the same incorrect and erroneous information that was to be corrected from the first denial. In addition they to the incorrect debt to income ratio, they added crdit card payments that were not mine as well as doubling my first mortgage amount making it appear I have to more debt than I really owe.
I also requested proof of the amount I had drawn out of line of credit. I didn't draw down $93,000. I only took $65000. They as yet refuse to provide proof of the additional $2,8000 They also stated I am delinquent 2 months. I am not delinquent at all in any payments which management agreed that I am current and have never been late in all the years of this loan.
It has become apparent reading the vast number of complaints filed against this company that there is a pattern of consumer abuse. Reading the complaints, one after the other they all read very similar. It really does appear to be a systematic abuse of the banking and consumer finance laws. I can forward you the copies of the denial letters, both list different amounts of debt to ratio and list differing months in arrears, again I am current..
I don't believe at this point this is just incompetence as so many complainants suggest, I believe this is out and out fraud!
please respond back,

transfer, the prior servicer provided SLS the current payment amount determined by the recast modification completed in January 2016. The enclosed copy of this agreement reflected an interest change on February 1, 2017. Your interest rate was scheduled to increase from 4.0% to 5.0% and your payments subsequently from $467.84 to $515.12 per month. Additionally, we received the 2010 modification’s terms, including payments of $532.12. Your correct payment of $469.65 was received on February 14, 2017; however, we had applied the terms of the enclosed copy of the 2010 modification, and the account reflected due for $532.12. The difference of $23.82 was charged to your account. On May 24, 2017 we updated your account information with the recast modification that was completed in January 2016. This modification reflected a percentage rate of 5.0% to have begun on February 1, 2017 along with the monthly payment of $515.12 to begin with the March 1, 2017 monthly mortgage payment. On July 21, 2017 we reversed the payments to January, 2017 and reapplied them, according to the terms of your modification. The fee of $23.82 was reversed. The account is paid through July, 2017, with surplus funds of $47.16 applied as principal reduction. the Your payment history with transaction codes is enclosed for your review and records. I am rejecting this response because: Last response I sent was added as an attachment, I hope this was forwarded to SLS. I finally got through to SLS 10/5/16 and was told by [redacted] (teller) that I needed an "Explanation of Benefits" which I told her I had emailed AND faxed previously. She found it in file and said she would present it to the Underwriter and if I don't hear back by Monday to call them back. Again, for some reason they do not call my primary number, but rather my home number which I have no access to when I am out working "in the field." I am tired of them dragging their feet. I have been more than patient and always courteous when speaking to their representatives. I received an email yesterday, basically stating all that was mentioned previously. I need to know, once and for all, what I need to do to expedite this process. I am now, thanks to their mishandling in this whole experience, $10,000 behind!
Sincerely,
