[redacted], you're treating this like a return for an unwanted part.  The item was received damaged, over a month late, and your lack of communication has escalated this into a formal issue.  If you want the broken, barely-packaged item you sent me back, send me a pre-paid shipping label.

This company has failed to address to major issues regarding the transaction.  First, I received an email directly from Speedy Appliance stating that my order was refunded.  This was not an email from [redacted] but an email directly from Speedy Appliance.  When they inform a customer that an item has been refunded, a customer should assume the transaction was refunded.  There was no indication that the email was automated, or that the status may be contingent upon any other factor, or that the email was sent in response to a [redacted] dispute.  I have attached a copy of this email, sent from Speedy Appliance to me on 11/14/14.  I'd like Speedy Appliance to note why they think a customer would assume that an email indicating a refund status would not really be a refund, but rather an automated response that should be ignored.  Secondly, I never opened the original shipping box prior to return shipping, and I informed Speedy Appliance of this.  I never received an email from Speedy Appliance regarding this matter until I had requested the status of my refund, long after the item had been returned.  If the pictures are in fact the part that was shipped to me, then it was shipped to me in that condition, as I never opened the box.  Otherwise, the photos are were taken of a different item and used as a prop in a deliberate attempt  to fraudulently report the item as used.  I believe that informing a customer that they have been refunded, then charging them anyway is criminal.  Even when this issue was brought to the attention of the company, they apologized for the inconvenience but refused to offer a refund.  I have an ongoing [redacted] dispute with this company since the transaction and I suspect the way they have falsely reported the item as used upon the return of the item is their unethical and criminal way of retaliation for filing a [redacted] dispute.  I am still hoping for a refund, but at the very least I hope that this complaint will be filed and publicly made available.  Should Speedy Appliance attempt to continue to fraud consumers in this fashion my record may help to substantiate their claim.             %

Good afternoon! I want to first apologize for the delay with your refund. I contacted our Credit Department to have the refund processed immediately and it was completed this morning. You should have received an email from us as well regarding the refund. I can provide transaction information...

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused for our Customer. They have been refunded as per our Standard Return Policy. Mr. [redacted] contacted our Customer Service via email on 06/02/2016 asking that his order be canceled. Our Customer Service responded to him prior to canceling his order...

to make sure this is how he wanted to proceed as the part was back ordered everywhere, and he would be the first to receive this item once it becomes available. Mr. [redacted] never responded to our email and therefore the order remained active. This order was then shipped the very next day 06/03/2016.Mr. [redacted] contacted us on 06/03/2016 after the shipping information was received for this order stating that the order needed to be canceled. Unfortunately, it was too late to have the order canceled as it had already been shipped. Our Customer Service let Mr. [redacted] know that he could either refuse shipment with the carrier or contact us for a Return Authorization once the item is received. Once this was returned back to us, it would be refunded as per our Standard Return Policy. We received notice from USPS on 06/27/2016 stating that we had an item to be picked up with postage due. We picked up Mr. [redacted]'s return from the Post Office and our company had to pay $15.85 Postage to pick this item up. This amount was deducted from Mr. [redacted]'s refund as per our Standard Return Policy as the refunds do not include any original shipping refunds, return shipping, or any additional postage by the carrier. Mr. [redacted]'s order has been refunded as per our Standard Policy. His refund of $47.15 was processed on 06/27/2016.
