Review: I had signed up with Standard Capital US back in May 2013. I was told that there was a $199. sign up fee, and that it was refundable if I didn't find a house. I went on the website, found about 10 houses I liked and I sent out letters to all of them. I have heard nothing back from Standard Capital US, or the homeowners, and I no longer needed the service. So I called the company to request my money back, and was told I have to wait 90 days. So I waited until 90 days was up and called again, and I was told that I needed to refer to the terms of service on their page, which states you need 5 denial letters. I have received no denial letters from the homeowners or Standard Capital US. I tried calling Standard Capital US again, and the man that answered the phone was rude, got an attitude and transferred me to someone else. 15 minutes later, someone else got on the phone and told me that there is no way to get your money back without these letters, and that if I do not have 5 denial letters by May of next year, that I will lose the money I paid. The company has done absolutely nothing to be of any help, did not explain to me how this works before they got my money, and their service is deplorable.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back.

I am rejecting this response because: I no longer need the service, and once again, they never told me before they got my money to read the terms and conditions. even if they would have, the service and attitude they give you when you call is ridiculous. Also, they use the same answer to every question, and it has nothing to do with anything being said. I no longer need their horrible service. I have not needed to find a house in months. I just want my money back and to never have to deal with this worthless company. They did not help me in any way, and they just keep talking in circles. I never received any rejection letters, phone calls or anything else from them. how can they require you to send them some paperwork from them when they don't send it in the first place? this whole company is just a sham to take people's money for no service in return.

Regards,

Review: This business states that they allow people to search through listings of houses that are going into foreclosure and they let you send letters to the houses you think you would want to take over their outstanding loans. So people give them 200 dollars which is supposedly refundable, but once people begin to realize that no one actually lives in these houses and no one is actually receiving these letters, which I know for sure since I actually visited some of these houses. The only way to get a refund is to get five denial letters from the houses you sent a letter to stating that they deny our offer to take over their loan. This is impossible to achieve so they know in the end they are going to keep our money.Desired Settlement: I spent two hundred dollars on a service that I did not receive thank you.

Review: The Company name is: Standard CapitalThe above company assured us of a refund if their program did not result in obtaining a foreclosed property in Michigan. It would be reasonable to expect the right to a refund regardless. The program was a series of activities that resulted in nothing but collection of our money. After several requests for a refund, which they claimed we had to wait 90 days before requesting, there has been no refund. Instead, this company keeps giving us impossible requirements (5 denial letters from homeowners), that only they can verify. I have sent over 40 letters to homeowners and this company claims it has not received any responses. This is an impossible plan for refund. The reason this company gives to deny giving us our money back for this service have excluded us from getting our money back. The program is faulty and a scam. It does not work the way this company assured it would. We simply want our $200.00 returned because no service was rendered. Please investigate the practices of this institution. It misrepresents a service to help people in need of a home acquire a home. This practice may violate securities and mortgage regulations. This company should be investigated. Their license should be reviewed by the securities commission. This is a formal complaint and request that the attorney general investigate the practices of this institution.Desired Settlement: My husband and I would like our money returned $199.00. Though we spent money on mailing, we only want our refund for failure to provide service as promised. Advertising should include truth about this service, and the company should be required to give factual information about their Revdex.com rating and lack of successful delivery of products.

Review: I was looking for an apartment three months ago and found the advertisement on Craigislist for Standard Capital US. I called the number and spoke to a rep directly, she told me lies about the service they provide and she garranteed that what she said was true that, she told me that after I made the $200 payment I would be looking at an apartment within one week, because they have lots of apartments available. I spoke with her for about two days before finallilizing te transaction. I was also told that after 90 days If I did not find a place I will be issued a refund back to my debit card, I ask this question over and over again to make sure that the credit will go back to my card and I was told yes it will.within the 90 days I called in to gt listings and send out 15 letters. I spole customer service and they said that I will have to wait. after going back and forth I ask to speak with a manager I spoke with Doug W. he refesed to give me his full name and [redacted] #2014, they were very rude when speaking with me. they offered no help. I then ask to speak with a manager above them Doug W. told me that some one will contact me. then never did. I called back today asking for my refund I was directed to the site to send them a cretified letter. I sopke with Doug again and ask for why did n one returned my call like he promised, Doug W told me that my account was overrulled and that I do not deserve a call back. I said to him that we are not in court as yet why am I over rulled and why do the company garantee promisses that they dont delevere. Standard Capital US lie to customers to get money after they get your money the never call you if you call them they are rude and not helpful, all I want back is my refunded as per there contract agreement. This company is a scam. The took ,my money and no service was given as per what the rep told me that signed me up.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund.

Review: Standa Capital is a bussiness that offers listings of " Pre-Foreclouser" homes to clients that would like to take over someone's elses home ( payments) due to economy. However, when calling, they falsy state that " they will do everything in their power" to help you get a home within 24-48hours. I paid $200.00 over the phone with a credit card. Once you pay, you should receive a log in and listings. They also informed me that we " can contact" this people via phone. I receive the listing, to only find out that you have to " mail letters to this homeowners". I decided to skip that step to do further inverstigation. I went to 2 of the homeowners that had no clue that their home was part of their listing. The homeowners were shocked! I called to obtain a refund for this " scam". Tayler ID#2021 stated that " refunds will be accepted after 90 days by certified mail. The request must include at least 5 denial letters from the homeowners I have contacted through StandardCapitalUS.com" However, 2 of the homeowners had NO CLUE that their home was even under their listing. Tayler was very upset and was giving the address for my refund extremely fast! I asked him to please slow down. His response was " well, you said you wanted it right?. I need my refund of 200.00 for this false adverst...Please help!Desired Settlement: I would like my $200.00 refund thats it!

Review: Upon signing up for the services I was told that if I were not satisfied with their product/services that I could receive a full refund. During my conversation with the gentlemen, he explained to me that these homes were listed in per-foreclosure. I asked him would there be a chance getting a home then having to leave due to it being foreclosed and he told me no, and again reassured me that if I signed up and were not fully satisfied that I could request a full refund without issue, so I signed up and the amount of $199.99 was debited from my bankcard. About a week later I called back and spoke to another young lady that stated something totally different, I was then told that if I found a house I was interested in and moved in and it then went into foreclosure I would have two options to apply for a mortgage loan or move out if I weren't approved for a loan. Originally it was supposed to been a take over mortgage. at that point I asked for a full refund. I was then told I had to wait 90 day before I can request a refund. While waiting for the 90 days I decided to sent out request to the current owners, well those request came back as no current occupancy. One my 90 day matured I called to request my refund, I was told that I would not receive a refund back.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my $199.99 back.

I am rejecting this response because: I WAS NOT GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO REVIEW THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNTIL AFTER I PID THE REGISTRATION FEE. And even then I was told in order to request my refund I had to 1. accept the terms and conditions and 2. request the refund after 90 days. If you are willing to refund my money, than I am requesting that. If there is no problem granting my request, well grant my request.

Review: My complaint of this company is that I found out it's a scam after I had already paid them $200. The promise you a home of your choice from the listings the provide in the area, but the truth is that the homes on the list are still vacant with families living there. I called the company about it, and they told me that's normal all I needed to so was send out a contact letter to the address and the family would respond to standard capital. I did send out letters, but no one responded to any of them. So I called standard capital back and I was told to send out more letters so I would have a better chance at different homes of my choice. Well, I had a friend to look at the listings, and he discovered his home on the list. He told me that his home was never up for foreclosure, and standard capital had the wrong information on the list about his home also. After I was told these things, I started to look into this company more to discover that it is a scam. Desired Settlement: I am really disappointed, frustrated, and embarrassed about it all. I am a single mother doing things on my own, and I was really excited and looking forward to purchasing my first home. I think it is wrong for people to be able to do this to anybody. I really need to be able to get a refund from this scam, and I am willing to do whatever in order to get it. Please help me and everyone else who's been hurt by this scam. Thanks.
