The business did come and pick up my dumpster but all of their excuses in their response to the complaint are absolutely ridiculous!!! This business should be shut downClearly judging by the amount of complaints against them, they do not know how to run a business properly and do not have the customers best interest in mindAlso they certainly should not get an A+ in my opinion they have failed miserably and should only receive an F

I will not let Peninsula off the hook for comments they
made. Peninsula brings up the heat
exchanger or furnace box as having cracks in it when in reality both my tenant
and myself were told that the cracks were in the heat exchange there was no
mention of the furnace box. We were
told by the technician that the cracks in the heat exchanger mandated that the
technician red tag it by law and the only people able to remove the red tag by
law was Peninsula. You would have to ask
my tenant the exact wording used about carbon monoxide going into the house,
but when my tenant called me she was frantic about what the technician had told
her about the carbon monoxide getting into the house and the harm it could
cause her and her children If the
technician did not mention this to my tenant why would she have frantically
called me about this. Again after
speaking to my tenant I spoke with the technician who also informed me that yes
the chances of carbon monoxide harming my tenant and her children was much
greater and that is why by “law” had to red tag itPer their comment that I had someone else look at it that is
correct and they found no cracks in the heat exchanger as Peninsula claimed,
they did not look at the furnace box for cracks because I informed them of
where Peninsula said they were. After
the second Peninsula technician came out and and said yes there were cracks I
had the other company come back out and take the entire furnace apart and they
found internal cracks on the furnace box which were not all the way through the
furnace box they were on the inside of the furnace box. They also stated that since the cracks were
not through the full burner box they did not pose a big enough threat to shut
down the furnace box. They stated that
cracks are common in the burner box due to the high heat the furnace put out,
if the cracks were more severe then they would be worried, they also turned the
boiler back on. This company also stated
that there was not an increased chance of carbon monoxide getting into the
house due to these cracks. After my
tenant displayed further doubt I had to get a second major company to come out
and give a third opinion which was the same opinion as the first company (other
than Peninsula) but in stronger statements about him feeling the boiler was
safe to operate and there was no increased chance of carbon monoxide escaping
from the boiler system. It does not matter that the system is years old and they
do have the furnace box which is the only thing that had to be replaced (under
$cost) in stock at a place in Salisbury Maryland (you would have to ask the
2nd company the name of the place).
Both of the companies I had come out said the furnace did not have to
be replaced and a heating company should know that the parts are still
available for my boiler.I have stated before that everyone I spoke with at Peninsula
stated it was the heat exchanger (I have the text messages to prove this from
the service manager) and that it was not replaceable and that was the part they
were trying to replace even though the cracks were in the furnace box which
again is replaceableI also believe the way that both my tenant and myself were
spoken to in a way that created us to believe that their lives would be in danger
had we turned on that boiler. To me
that is a scare tactic

We do apologize for the confusion and the delayThe service club membership was removed from this customer's account on 1/2/2018. If there are any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to call ***Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the
business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I see they backdated the date they removed the charge but at least it was finally removed before they sent it to collections (I received a final notice...this was going on since Oct/Nov 2017)

Called customer for further clarification. We made a mistake in telling customer we were not picking up trash on 6/6. I apologized and we will pick up customers trash today, 6/7

I reject the resolution by Peninsula Oil. I called and left several messages for someone at Peninsula to call and discuss the findings of...

the service tech and did not receive a response. Also, the service tech advised that I needed a new fuel pump - which I did not need, because the furnace is brand new and only used for maybe about 2 weeks in April when it was installed. If there was an issue with the fuel pump why is the furnace now working without replacing it? I want the refund of the service techs visit and I wanted my acct closed. I requested to have my account closed on 10/27/17 and my credit balance refunded and my account has yet to be closed. I was told by Laura on 11/28/17 when I visited the office that the service call fee would be refunded to me. So now Peninsula Oil is not honoring their agreement to refund my money.

resolution is satisfactory to me.  Thank you for your help with this matter. If you didn't get involved, I am sure this would have never been resolved with them.Biggest issue was no communication whatsoever, two days of missed appointments, after we had to call them multiple times to schedule, more than three weeks after the initial visit. Two days, no show no call for scheduled appointment. We had to call them back again, in which time a qualified and knowledgeable technician came out and did the job to our satisfaction.I guess the lesson here is that you have to file a complaint with the Revdex.com to get them to show up.

GPS records show that we were at customers home on both days. Out electronic meters will not allow driver to make a delivery if he is in the wrong location. The customers tank was almost empty. When we made the first delivery the truck ran out of product and we returned at a later date to continue filling. I have attached a copy of the second delivery that shows a note indicating this from our dispatcher. There is no doubt that we made these 2 deliveries to this customers home. If the truck had not run out of product on the initial delivery we would not be having this conversation. We have waived all the finance charges and credited his account $1.00 per gallon ($110.80) as we stated we would do.

Driver delivering Kerosene on the first delivery ran out of product and and we had to go back and finish filling the tank. Delivery manager talked to customer and credited customer $1.00 per gallon off the second delivery and all finance charges have been removed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. After they spoke to [redacted] I was then contacted and was told that the balance was paid and they could deliver the oil.  At this time I asked that they only deliver the money I was granted by Catholic Charities because I could not afford any more.  I made sure this was clear to the guy in the finance department and he understood what I was asking.  I even called after the oil was delivered to explain that they delivered the wrong amount and that they need to come get the oil they over delivered but they refused to do so. I have even asked for them to come get it now because there is still only in the take and still they refuse to do so saying it is now my responsibly.  You should not be able to hold someone responsible for something they did not ask for.  If someone came to your home and painted your house then sent you a bill for it when you did not ask them to do so would you pay for it?
