It is bad practice for a company to send an official county form in an envelope to new home ownersMost people that open this letter and see the Nassau county form are under the impression that they are filing for the star program themselvesWhen buying a new home, home owners are inundated with paperwork to fill out and we were under the assumption that this was not a third party serviceI would not have knowingly filled out the form if I was aware that I would be able to file for free myselfAfter filing the form we were not contacted to confirm this service nor did we receive any other corospondence until we recieved a bill for these services This is not the first time that this company has knowingly misled vunerable new homeownersThis is an unacceptable way to conduct business as it is misleadingDue to the misunderstanding on our part and the misleading practice in the part of this bussiness we think that it is fair to pay a reduced fee.

I did not "misrepresented themselves as the government what so ever, see Bullet Point # (in bold and
underlined): "Star Exemption Advisor is not affiliated with any government entity"
Regarding the claim: "they did not make clear of the substantial fee prior to application process", the opposite is true, look at the contract were it says, "you save an estimate $1,a year"

I am currently going to court to attempt to fight this. They have done the same to me as they have done to so many unsuspecting 1st time home owners. They are the lowest of the low and really hope that my attempt to fight this in court can maker the courts see the type of deceiving tactic that these people use and can be put out of business or at least not let them do this to other unsuspecting people.

At this time [redacted] is using in his complaint mostly of the same that his attorney used in a letter to me on November *, 2014.
For the fact that I do not agree with his first complaint and with Attorney letter, my last answer from November *, 2014 stands.
