I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
[While I did receive credit for a technician that came out to repair service that was not working, I greatly appreciate him getting my wireless and wired internet properly working considering it is service I'm paying for. However regarding my speed of internet, it was never a request of mine to change the speed due to the fact that I use it for my business which it is required to have a speed of 10 and no more, so I assume a representative changed the speed due to a connection issue because that is the only time I need to speak with someone, whenever I have a service issues. The same with my package, I was never told that I had a promotion for a year until I start asking questions regarding my bills. I never signed anything saying I agree to a promotion. I have basic cable, no movie channels. If I had a promotion I would have never committed or would have never committed to a much higher rate once the promotion expired. I do not think it's fair as a customer to spend hours on the phone with a rep that continuously tell me it's Cincinnati Bell word over mine and there is nothing I can do about it. Not to mention I finally got my bill down to $100 and now it's well over $500]

Per our records your address is not eligible for Fiber at this time. There are no plans to upgrade your area at this time. The speeds are not guaranteed you get up to 5 mbps per our terms and conditions.
8. Service Speed
ZoomTown and Fioptics Services come in a variety of speeds. The...
availability of some service speeds may depend on the location of facilities in your neighborhood and on your street. Not all service speeds are available in all areas. Cincinnati Bell does not guarantee that the Service, Equipment, or other equipment authorized by Cincinnati Bell for use in connection with the Service will perform at a particular speed, bandwidth, or data throughput rate, or will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses, worms, disabling code or conditions, or the like. The speed measurement advertised by Cincinnati Bell refers to the Internet access speed provisioned to a subscriber on a per-line and not a per-device basis. The actual speed realized by the subscriber may vary based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to: the capabilities or limitations of the customer’s computer, network, or other device; the number of computers or other devices in use in the customer’s home network; concurrent use of Internet access and a TV video on demand service, which consumes Internet access bandwidth; the means of connecting to the Cincinnati Bell network (e.g., the condition of the home’s inside wiring or the type and condition of WiFi router); the distance of the home from the Cincinnati Bell broadband network aggregation point or the type of Cincinnati Bell network facilities present in a given location; network congestion; and the performance of the content and application providers the consumer is accessing, as well as the performance of their respective host network(s). Since we are not planning on upgrading anytime soon and you are experiencing the slow speeds I am able to lower your bill $25.00 a month for the next year.
Cincinnati Bell is committed to providing our customers with outstanding service. We apologize for any inconvenience we’ve caused you, and appreciate the opportunity to better serve you going forward.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. In Cincinnati bell's reply it states that I was advised that my service would not be repaired because Fioptics was available in my area, that is not true. Before I had this problem I was sold a package of Fioptics that included the RF overlay, when they came to install, Cincinnati bell wound not allow the installer to connect my home with the RF overlay like the rest of my neighborhood has.I was told at that time there were 3 more connections on the splitter but Cincinnati bell would not allow. I was told by both service techs that they had fixed the problem, only thing they did was cut my internet speed in half. they did not say Cincinnati bell would not fix the problem of the bad lines. The last 2 service calls Cincinnati bell employees did not even show up. I got a call stating that because it was not raining they can't find the problem.(They will get on the pole and look for the problem in the rain?) The tech told my to call him when it went out again. Again they cut my speed back currently at 2.5 meg I'm paying for up to 5 meg, it was at 4.1 meg before I asked for my service to work. still have rain killing my internet. Looks like there is no interest by Cincinnati bell to supply good service to their customers. after seeing their response I see that the Revdex.com only helps customers of small business.

RE: [redacted]
Cincinnati Bell is responding to the complaint you filed with the Revdex.com concerning a modem rental fee.
The modem rental fee applies to all High Speed...
Internet customers and is not negotiable.
Cincinnati Bell’s goal is to be able to continually provide better service than our competitors. [redacted] currently charges $8.99 per month for wireless networking and $3.99 for non-wireless networking. The integrated modem will broadcast a wireless signal throughout a home or small office setting. Additionally, customers HSI service will operate via the integrated modem, providing one device and removing additional wires and clutter in a home or office.
We always suggest that you use Cincinnati Bell's modem because ZoomTown routers are the only hardware fully tested for our High Speed network and are the only equipment fully supported by Cincinnati Bell. If it stops working, we'll replace it, for no additional fees. All of this at a low cost of $4.99 a month"
Since we value your business, I can provide you with a (6) six month promotion for the modem. We will waive the modem fee until January 6, 2016.
Please feel free to contact our office at ###-###-#### with any additional questions or concerns.

Cincinnati Bell is responding to the rebuttal that you filed with the Revdex.com concerning your Zoomtown speed.
Cincinnati Bell does not guarantee a minimum speed. The conditions and terms of service state that speeds up to 2 Mbps Download and upload up to 768 Kbps for the current product that you have Zoomtown Lite. Essentially, you as the customer must choose between the speed received today or changing to another provider.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
First of all I always have to argue about a 4 o'clock or later appointment. Then they finally tell me well we will have to get permission and you will get a call back if we can do it. And they never addressed the issue why I am told different reasons by different people. Once again this happened with the technician on January 25th. He informed me the modem that was replace on January 19th was actually a refurbished modem ( so he gave me a new one or at least he says so) and not a new one like I was told by the person who I spoke to on the phone on January 17th. The technician who installed it never informed me it was refurbished. The technician who came out on the 22 told me he wasn't going to replace the modem because it was new. I have an issue with this. The technician also told me something different then what everyone else has. No body has mentioned other computers before. We have had both of these computers for a little while so not sure that would even be a reason. I am also concerned that no service technician every gives me a paper work saying what was actually done. The service techs have always had me connected before they leave. The issue is the next day or two I am back to not being able to connect. So I am not sure at this point if it is working properly. I still want to know why I am being told different things by different people. and why I get no paper work telling me what has been done.
