To Whom It May...

Concern:
Thank you for forwarding case #[redacted] on behalf of Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] enrolled at Strayer University (“Strayer,” or “the University”) on June 15, 2016 to begin classes for the Summer 2016 quarter.

On June 30th, 2016, Mr. [redacted] was explained that he needed to complete his financial aid. On July 21st, 2016, Mr. [redacted] was sent a letter informing him of the Anticipate Disbursement dates from July 16th to August 13th, 2016.  The letter indicated that any adjustment to the student’s financial aid award amounts may result from one or both of the following, which included:

The receipt of additional or outside aid. If you anticipate receiving any financial aid not listed above, you are required to report each source and the amount to Student Financial Services.
The receipt of additional institutional or outside aid. If you anticipate receiving any financial aid not listed above, you are required to report each source and the amount to Strayer University.

According to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), Mr. [redacted]’s loan period ended on May 8th, 2016. This is based on the Common Origination Disbursement (COD), which provide the academic period ending on August 7th, 2016. This calculation also includes disbursements from other institutions. This left a balance of $792.00 remaining eligibility for the academic period.

Mr. [redacted] will get the remaining annual loan funding disbursed into the next two terms at Strayer University. This will leave additional funding to settle the Summer 2016 balance.

Should Mr. [redacted] have any questions regarding his financial aid, he may contact Strayer University’s Student Financial Services department at ###-###-#### for any questions or to make payment arrangements.

To Whom It May Concern:
Thank you for forwarding case #[redacted] on behalf of [redacted].  [redacted]...

[redacted] applied to Strayer University (“Strayer,” “the
University”) and enrolled in two classes for Fall Quarter 2014: [redacted] and
[redacted].
[redacted] spoke to a Student Financial Services (SFS)
representative at his home campus and informally mentioned that he may need to
withdrawal due to his work schedule. The SFS representative explained to him
the ramifications of withdrawing and that they can assist in directing [redacted] to the appropriate person if he decided to withdrawal.
According to the Strayer University Withdrawal policy, “Before
withdrawing from a course or from the University the student should d confer
with an Academic Advisor as well as the Business Office in order to review all
University’s policies prior to the withdrawal. Withdrawal requests must be
initiated through the student portal at https://icampus.strayer.edu.”
[redacted] withdrew from his Fall 2014 classes on the second week
of the quarter, which is a 10% charge.  [redacted]’s account is
showing a 10% Drop Fee, not a 50%.
The account breakdown for [redacted] is $284.00 for two classes (at
10% of $1,420 tuition), $131.79 (book costs), $25.00 (withdrawal fee), which
totals $440.79. He received $413.00 in subsidized loans.
The total cost of $440.79 minus the $413.00 in subsidized loans
leaves [redacted] with a $27.79 balance.
[redacted]’s balance was incurred in full accordance with stated
University policies. The University considers [redacted]’s outstanding balance
of $27.79 to be valid and owing.  [redacted] can contact his home
campus if he has any additional questions regarding the balance.

Good day,
Please see the summary results below of the extensive research that was conducted on this case inquiry:
1. Student indicates in her Revdex.com complaint that Strayer refused to initiate
her Post 9/11 GI Bill which was not the case.
2. The student reached...

out to [redacted] at the university to request that she be
dropped from her courses and the drop case was created on 2/15/2014. Below is a
copy of the email communication from the student to her Strayer contact, [redacted]:
Hi [redacted],
I'm going to have to dis-enroll, this is a private matter that
has come up and I need to focus all of my time to take care
of. Thank you for your support
3. The student requested that she be dropped from her three courses, under
her own personal recognizance.
4. The university Add/Drop period is from January 1, 2014 through January 14,
2014. The student did not request to be dropped until February 2014 which makes
her responsible for the dropped charges.
5. The student Catalog, 2013-2014 clearly indicates the drop dates and
references fees and assessed charges.
6. Before the student was dropped, two university representatives tried to
reach her. The first was on 2/18 at 1:30PM via voicemail and also via email to
her: [redacted] , email. The second was on 2/18 at 6:14PM via her
case#[redacted] in which the resolution to drop her classes as she requested was
completed. In addition, the case indicated that she will be assessed charges.
The student was notified three times in one day that she would be assessed
charges.
7. The student indicates in her Revdex.com dispute that the charges are $5,000.00.
This is not valid as her charges are currently, $2,195.03.
*We resolve that the student initiated the drop request, after the add/drop
period and thus is responsible for the charges for dropping her courses.
Furthermore, the student indicated in her email communication that
she was dropping for personal reasons and she thanked [redacted] for helping her in this endeavor. Finally, the student was contacted three
times in one day to ensure that she understood that her decision would affect
her balance as she was more than a month into the courses and the academic term
when she chose to drop.
The student should make arrangements to pay her balance off as the university
does not release transcripts when a student owes a balance. Thank you for
allowing the Office of Student Affairs to research this case on your behalf.

To Whom It May Concern:
Thank you for forwarding Case# [redacted] on behalf of [redacted] has been a student at Strayer University (“Strayer,” “the University”) since Summer 2010 quarter. She conferred her first degree (Master of Business Administration in Finance) and in attempt to confer her second degree (Master of Science in Accounting) was denied due to program prerequisite requirements that have not been completed.
According to the Registrar’s Office, [redacted] still is required to take the following undergraduate prerequisites for the MSAC degree: MAT 300, ACC 403, ACC 307 and ACC 317.
There appears that [redacted] has additional documents on file, which would need to be sent to a NACES member for evaluation to determine if there is transfer credit applicable to the above-mentioned prerequisite classes. This information of where the documents need sent was communication to [redacted] on August 19th, 20th and 31st, 2015.

[redacted] may contact the Alexandria campus at ###-###-####, if there are any additional questions regarding the process to have the transcripts evaluated for potential credit toward the prerequisite classes that are still remaining.

Poor customer service for veteran students. In Oct2014 I was contacted by Strayer University in reference to a balance owed for classes taken. I received a student loan payment while receiving VA benefits. I called Strayer to see why I was being billed when I was receiving VA benefits. Not to mention I signed a waiver stating that I should only receive what was needed after VA paid. I called several times once I was placed on hold in till I just hung up the phone. The bill was sent to collections. And no one at Strayer had explained to me what happened. Finially I went to Strayer in person. I spoke to Ms.[redacted]. I was in uniform. I told Ms. [redacted] what the issuse was. She showed me what happened. I researched the problem I contacted her to let her know that I did receive the funds. However it has already been sent to collections.I also informed her of my military status and that I can't have anything negative on my credit report. She informed me that there was nothing she could do and I should call the collect agency. I contacted the collection agency to make payment arrangements. The agency wanted 400+ a month.I informed the rep. that I was military and couldn't afford that not could I have anything negative on my credit. He then informed me that because I was military he had to close my case and send it back to Strayer. I then emailed Ms. [redacted] to find out how to fix this problem. She sent back an email stating that she told me to contact the schools internal collections dept. which she never said that. She refered me to the collection agency. I have since sent an email stating that I am in limbo, meanwhile my credit is being ruined and they are not being paid.Desired SettlementI would like to make reasonable payments to Strayer and have the negative collection report removed.Business Response To Whom It May Concern:Thank you for forwarding case # [redacted] on behalf of [redacted]. Ms.[redacted] concern was addressed by the Student Financial Services Department, included the Manager of Veterans Affairs and the Manager of Business Operations. The Manager of Business Operations reached out to Ms. [redacted] to address the concern and to discuss a payment plan. Ms. [redacted] confirmed she is willing to sign a promissory note. They cancelled Ms.[redacted] account in collections and requested that the agency cancel/remove any credit reporting of the account. If Ms. [redacted] has any questions, she may contact the Student Financial Services department.Thank you,[redacted]Director, Student Affairs

I sent payment to have my transcript sent to [redacted]. They cashed my payment June 3 ( I checked and it was took out of my credit card).Cashed my payment for a transcript to be sent to [redacted]. They took 10$ out of my credit card on June 3, 2014.I have called multiple times and the school still does not have my transcript. My student ID number is [redacted]. My transcript has to be sent to: [redacted] Desired SettlementPlease send my transcript to the school as I paid for. Business Response To Whom It May Concern:Thank you for forwarding case #[redacted] on behalf of [redacted]. A transcript request was made and sent twice to the following address provided in the University case submission, first on June 16th, 2014 and again on June 25th, 2014. The address, where the two transcripts were sent is:[redacted]The address that was provided in the University case is different than the address provided in case #[redacted].A transcript will be sent to the address provided in case #[redacted] and it will be sent by [redacted] ground. A scheduled delivery is set for the end of the day on Monday, July 21st, 2014.Sincerely,[redacted]Director, Student Affairs

I have been charged for tuition for a semester that I attempted to withdraw from numerous times. The college sent me a refund check stating that I had funds left over after tuition was paid via my student loans and then turned around and stated that I owed them over $2,000.00 for tuition and they never charged this to my student loans. After numerous attempts to clear this billing error, I decided to bite the bullet and just start paying the bill to eliminate the bill from hitting negatively on my credit report. I reached out to the college numerous times speaking to [redacted] the School Dean - Dr. [redacted] and [redacted] (from the 800#) and after speaking to [redacted], in March of 2014, I was told that this account would not be sent to collections if I paid a consistent amount towards the account monthly. I expressed to him that I did not feel that I should have to pay this tuition but that I would start making payments of $50.00 monthly to ensure that they would not send this to a collection agency. For the last two months they have accepted my payments and never contacted me expressing that I was not paying enough. Last Thursday, I received a call from a collection agency stating that Stayer sent this to collections and posted this to my credit report! I was ensured by [redacted] that this would not happen as long as I made my payments. I have not received a single statement from the college, nor call, informing me that they were not satisfied with the payments that I was making. I am frustrated that this is now negatively affecting my credit when I have been initiating the payments on time in the agreed amount that I talked with [redacted] about. I also have had to contact the school for the last two payments because they would wait two weeks to post the check to my account. The business center is never able to be reached and thus I have to contact the Dean. They are violating the Fair Credit Billing Act of 1974 and Fair Debt Collection Practices of 1977. I will get a lawyer if needed.Product_Or_Service: Tuition Account_Number: XXXXXXXXXDesired SettlementI am requesting that Strayer University retract the negative impact on my credit report. I also want them to allow me to make affordable monthly payments of $100.00 per month. I have been given false information by numerous employees of Strayer University and I deserve to have the option to find other ways of payment prior to them just sending it to a collection agency. I was told today that I was not suppose to be sent to collections because of my payments and that was a mistake. Now fix it.Business Response Thank you for bringing this concern to the attention of the Office of Student Affairs at Strayer University. I have researched the issue and find that the student is currently in conversation with her home campus about establishing payment arrangements. The university will agree to remove the account from collections as long as the student signs the prior balance promissory note. In addition, the student will need to keep her account payments current as the balance is valid and the student has acknowledged such. The campus will be reaching out to the student today to discuss the parameters of the payment arrangement. It has been confirmed that the student has been in conversation with the campus as of this week. The student must sign the agreement in order to properly establish the repayment plan of action. Thank you for allowing the Office of Student Affairs to address your concerns. We consider this case closed.

I was billed for the program even though I dropped the program early. Why was I billed for enrolling in a program while waiting on financial aid? I thought my financial aid would pay for it once I was approved.Desired SettlementI want them to forgive the 1600.00 tuition debt that they charged me.Business Response To Whom It May Concern,Thank you for forwarding case #[redacted] on behalf of [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] enrolled in two courses at Strayer University ("Strayer," "the University") for Spring Quarter 2008: [redacted] and [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] utilized financial aid to pay for his tuition charges totaling $3,670 and his textbook charges in the amount of $179.19.Mr. [redacted] received two book vouchers for the Spring Quarter 2008. Mr. [redacted] did not comply with the University attendance requirements in both of his classes. He received a Withdrawal/Fail (WF) grade for [redacted] as he only attended Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4. After four consecutive weeks of nonattendance Mr. [redacted] was administratively withdrawn from his course. Mr. [redacted] did not post any attendance for his [redacted] class and received a No-Show (NS) grade for non-attendance, hence the balance on his account. Because Mr. [redacted] posted attendance through Week 4 in [redacted], he incurred a 50% tuition charge. Mr. [redacted] had a No-Show in [redacted] as he did not past any attendance; he incurred a No-Show Fee of $150. His total balance was incurred by the following:Tuition Maters for (2) classes $3,670.00Book Voucher $100.00Book Voucher $79.19Discount Voucher -$100.00No-Show Fee (for [redacted]) $150.00Drop Graduate Fee for [redacted] -$1,835.00Drop Graduate Fee for [redacted] -$458.75 Total Balance for Spring 2008 $1,605.44Mr. [redacted]' total balance as of June 3, 2008 for the Spring Quarter 2008 totals $1,605.44. On April 13, 2011, Mr. [redacted]' outstanding balance was sent to collections for nonpayment and he was assessed a $10 Collection Fee. This brought the total balance due the University to $1,615.44. As Mr. [redacted]' balance was incurred in full accordance with University policies, I have no reason to recommend an adjustment on his behalf.Sincerely,[redacted]Director, Student Affairs

Dispute with student account I'm highly upset and frustrated at this institution. I've been trying to resolve and DISPUTE this issue since 2008, and I'm still trying to get a better understanding of WHY I have to pay Strayer University knowing that the staff in the FINANCIAL AID Department at [redacted] campus knew that my Financial Aid packet was incomplete and would not go through for some odd reason. I've made several attempts as a new student to complete my financial aid packet in between classes, and every time I would attempt to finish financial aid my packet, no one tried to help assist me in completing my aid. With that being said, if they knew that my packet was incomplete and would not go through for whatever reason which doesn't make sense, why allow me to attend class when obviously my classes were NOT PAID FOR???? I know this for a fact as a student, and I'm very familiar with how financial aid works. If classes are unpaid, your classes are purged (dropped)! I needed financial aid in order to attend and complete my courses. I've never knew of any college or university who would allow any student to attend classes that has not been paid for. Also, I'm not the only student who's complaining about the same issue that's a reflection on Strayer University, because this is VERY, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I've spoken with [redacted] at [redacted] and [redacted] as well to try to resolve this issue for over 6 years and this is very frustrating to me. No one was helpful at all. I've tried contacting the Director as well as the [redacted] campus, and was never contacted back concerning this matter. I've contacted Strayer University corporate office in Virginia and spoke with [redacted] which is Director of Student Affairs and he wasn't helpful at all. The only communication besides reaching out to him over the phone was through email. He sent the charges that were sent to collections which were done improperly and unfair!!! That is not helpful. I've paid nearly $400 out of my pocket, and have my receipts to prove it which I feel like I should NOT have to pay because of Strayer's unprofessionalism, and carelessness. I will continue to dispute this matter because this is not making sense and this issue needs to be resolved with me having to pay another penny for no reason.Desired Settlementresolving this issue of why I'm paying out of pocket. Strayer is a scamBusiness Response To Whom It May Concern:Thank you for forwarding case #40097786 on behalf of[redacted] and please accept my apologies at the lateness of our response. A corporate adjustment was approved in the amount of $2,948.75 on Ms.[redacted]'s behalf in the interest of excellent customer service. This adjustment was processed on September 15, 2014 and Ms.[redacted] has a zero balance with the University. Thank you,[redacted] Director, Student Affairs

Review: I attended Strayer University and completed all of my major classes in December 2010. I was given approval by Strayer to take 4 of my elective classes at an outside Community College. After completing my electives and having them transferred to Strayer I applied for graduation. After applying I never got a confirmation for Graduation. I called and was told to just pay the Graduation fee and I could graduate. I did. Afterwards I never received my degree. I have tried countless times working with Strayer [redacted] Campus to no avail. And now almost 4 years later and a $65,000.00 student loan debt, no one has been able to give me an answer as to why I still have not received my degree. Not only that but now I am being ignored and I was just given another person's name that my "situation" has been transferred to yesterday 1-13-14. I have been going round and round with no answers. According to them I have met all of the requirements... Still no degree.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my degree immediately.

Response:

Thank you for allowing the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) at Strayer University to research your concerns on your behalf. We have evaluated your curriculum and courses taken and find that your [redacted] course is not satisfied. In an effort to support you in completing your program and meeting this requirement, the executive leadership of the university has provided an opportunity for you to resolve this matter. Please contact the Campus [redacted] of the Henrico Campus, [redacted] or by emailing her at [redacted]. She will be more than happy to assist you with the next steps in ensuring you complete your degree. Thank you and have a good day.

Review: I was enrolled at Strayer University for the winter session. I began the session and then was told by my employer that I would be traveling on business to Florida approximately 3 days a week through February. I called the school and advised [redacted] of this situation, he informed me to fill out a ticket online no later than 10/28/13 and there would be no financial penalty. I filled the ticket out on 10/25/13 and submitted it. I then checked blackboard to confirm I was no longer in classes, I had been removed. I then called the school to see if it was possible that I be placed back in classes. I received a call back from [redacted] advising that she didn't think this was possible, keep in mind I have been removed since 10/25/13, I was only inquiring and was told no. I did not think any further about this. I then received an email from [redacted] on 11/19/13 advising that I had an oustanding balance of $1784.50. I do not owe this money, I withdrew in the timeframe that I was told.Desired Settlement: I would like to charges removed from my account. I have been a student with Strayer University for quite some time. I have always paid my debt however, when I do not benefit from your classes I should not have to pay. I would like to return t o Strayer and finish my degree however with this oustanding that will be impossible. You will ultimately end up losing money because I will not be able to return to this school.

Response:

Good day. I am sorry to hear that [redacted] is having issues resolving her financial issue with Strayer University. Please be advised that [redacted] submitted a case to be dropped from classes on 10/27/13. The campus leadership (campus director) made attempts to reach out to the student to discuss the matter in full disclosure which is the policy and the calls and communication were not returned from the student. At this point, the student should contact her home campus director and discuss this matter in full detail so that the proper documentation and explanation can be provided to the student so that the student is aware of the policy and procedures. Also, in the Strayer University Catalog, the add/drop and financial aid and academic penalty dates and information is listed for the academic term in question by the student. We sincerely would like [redacted] to continue with our university and this can be handled through a dialogue with her campus leadership.

Review: The financial aid office failing to honor my reasons and documenting from doctor stating I have a learning disability to approve my unusual enrollment history.Desired Settlement: I would like my financial aid release to my account and any monies be refunded back to me.

Review: My name is [redacted] and I was a student at the [redacted] The reason for this letter is that last year I decided to finish my education at Strayed University. I selected Strayer University from many other university that I researched and found to be a plus for me. Last year I started at the Fredericksburg, Virginia campus, which was a great experience to be, I really enjoyed it and the meaning of caring really came from that campus. But due to personal reason and I got transfer to Glen Allen, VA: Henrico Campus. At the Henrico Campus to me has been a big disappointment and a life event, the staff there treat you like second class citizen and have no care to help you, unless youre a certain color, which I witnessed and found it to be an experience, and bias treatment. The Success Education coach, Mr. T. Mason doesnt really help you, he just prove reasons to trying to help you, which I find it to be very rude and unprofessional. The financial staff [redacted] Campus Operations Specialist Business who informs me that shes the Financial Rep assigned to my case. Here is where the problem began: for the past three months I have dealt with 6 or more people from the financial Department (Herndon campus and Henrico campus) than anything else. The complaint isnt that the summer classes has been a problem for the past three months, its that I have waited for months to have the same paperwork done and class registered to be completed. Apparently, Mrs. [redacted] treated it like its not a problem and demonstrated to express her option Ill take one for the Team, this was after I have tried to find out how I stood on the paperwork. Mrs. [redacted] didnt really show concerns about the issues. According to Mrs. [redacted] the committee didnt accept the paperwork for these reason: 1) Hand written on forms, not acceptable 2) Name isnt Correct, typo from staff 3) SS# isnt right, email copy of SS card 4) I didnt sign in the correct box, and more. These were issues after issues and it when on for 3 to 4 months (the same 3 paperwork). I even when to the Success Coach Office to sign it in person, with Mrs. [redacted] in person. After it was seen that Mrs. [redacted] had vacation. Then class begins and no classes to go to, still waiting on paperwork. This was a joke and an issues that I when to speak to [redacted] and I have to say he can sell a used car to a cat. Customer Service was a joke and holding people accountable wasnt done here. He wasnt aware of the issues of my case, because they dont use communication at this campus. I was disappointed when he made a statement that I have 457 students. Reality this is the response I get for the issues. This was wrong and injustice to be treated with this kind of abuse and issue. The big surprise was I Had to pay for my own books and extra classes if I wanted to graduate next year. Honesty, this campus needed a change of [redacted] and staff, because its about money and a scam of not working with you. They had created more hardship, financially for myself, and more debt, that I didnt see it coming. In closing they are good in getting you to fill out the FSA loan, but in all they are a scam artist. It was for this reason I did decide to find another college that treats you with some respect. I have taken the steps and measures to file the necessary paperwork to file a complaint. To those who read this be prepare they will use you and have no dealing with you unless it comes to money. If you do come to a problem with this company and campus make sure to file the complaint with the Federal Education Department. Good LucDesired Settlement: to give me a refund of the 400.00 dollars and books I had to put out, which could of been corrected months ago if this issues was handled correctly. the [redacted] and other staff need a motivation tool to listen and help people, we are not kids we are adults who are here after working for years into retirement to finish a dream.

To Whom It May Concern,Thank you for forwarding case #[redacted] on behalf of [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] was selected forFinancial Aid verification by the Department of Education, which delayed the processing of his financialaid. There were two different names in the system for Mr. [redacted] which caused some confusion and reasonfor the verification. The Strayer University Student Financial Services verification team reviewed Mr.[redacted]’s verification documents and everything is correct at this point.According to the information that was received, the Campus Dean did meet with Mr. [redacted] in July,2015, during the verification selection process through Financial Aid. Mr. [redacted]’s concern wasescalated to the Student Financial Services for an immediate review at the time and follow-up wasprovided to the student on July 7, 2015.If there are further questions, regarding this concern, Mr. [redacted] can contact [redacted].Thank you,[redacted]

Review: I attended Strayer University back in 2012. I was unable to attend classes due to lack of transportation and I had to help my mom take care of my baby brother. When I left Strayer I was not informed about a 1,000$ balance. I didnt find out about this balance until I called to get my official transcripts. Now I cant get my official transcripts until the balance is paid; which is unfortunate because I trying to get back into school. I also do not have a job to pay them off. Im afraid if I get the money to pay them, they will not give me my transcripts; they are full of surprises.Desired Settlement: I would like my official transcripts sent to another 4 yr college. If they have good reason , then I am willing to go on a payment plan in return of my official transcripts

ToWhom It May Concern,Thank you for forwarding case #[redacted]on behalf of [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] attended Strayer University (“Strayer,”“the University”) in the Spring Quarter 2013 for the following two courses:LEG100 and MKT100. [redacted] did not comply with the University attendance requirements in the LEG100course and as a result received a Withdrawal/Fail (WF) grade for the course.Attendance was only recorded up to Week 6 and nothing thereafter. Please note that as per university policy, afterfour consecutive weeks of nonattendance, Ms. [redacted] was administrativelywithdrawn from the course.Ms. [redacted] was eligible for a scholarship of $1000 upon entrance to the university. However, she was deemed ineligible when she dropped the course on 5/29/2013. Asper the scholarship requirements, students had to remain enrolled in a minimumof two courses for the full length of the quarter in order to stay qualified. Please note that after federal loans and the PELL grant were released to cover hertuition, fees and books, Ms. [redacted] had a remaining balance of $358.54. Thescholarship funding for $1000 was applied to her account, covering the balanceand leaving a credit of $641.46 which was refunded to her on 06/04/2013. Notethat scholarship funding of $1000 was already applied to her account at thetime she dropped the course. When the drop occurred, the money was subsequentlyrevoked, leaving the student with the full balance as owed to the university. On November11, 2014, Ms. [redacted]’s account was sent to collections for nonpayment and shewas charged a $10 Collection Fee, which brought her total outstanding balanceto $1,010.00.As Ms. [redacted]’s balance was incurred in full accordance with stated Universitypolicies, I have no basis for requesting an adjustment on her account at thistime. The University considers Ms. [redacted]’soutstanding balance of $1,010.00 to be valid and owing. In addition, per Strayer policy as stated in the University Catalog,“Transcripts cannot be issued for students with prior outstanding balances ontheir accounts.” I strongly suggest that she makeimmediate payment arrangements with the collection agency to avoid furtherdamage to her credit. Ms. [redacted] may contact [redacted] or her home campus to [redacted] to make payment arrangements. Thankyou,

Review: I have contacted Strayer University several times in relation to a balance that is due. I was assured by the Business Office manager [redacted] that she would personally contact me prior to my account being sent to a Collection Agency. I received a letter from a Collection Agency stating my account had been forwarded to them. I have tried to resolve this matter several times directly with the [redacted] Campus including speaking with the Campus Director [redacted] and the Business Office Mgr [redacted] but they will not assist me in solving this issue.Desired Settlement: I would like my account out of collections and have the school set me up on a payment plan so that I can settle this debt.

To Whom It May Concern:Thank you for forwarding case #[redacted] on behalf of Cheri Ann

Wollman. Initial investigation showed

that [redacted] enrolled in two courses at Strayer University (“Strayer,” “the

University”) for Fall Quarter 2013: [redacted] and [redacted] requested to drop one of her

classes during Week 2 of the Fall quarter.

As the [redacted] class was dropped per her request the [redacted]

was also dropped during the second week of the quarter, since she was utilizing

financial aid, you needed to have two classes to keep financial aid status.

Her balance was the result of the [redacted] withdrawal ($177.50

tuition) withdrawal fee ($25.00), technology fee ($65.00), automatic drop of

[redacted] ($443.75 tuition), and book charge ($256.52). This brought [redacted]’s

total balance owed to $967.77.

The Office of Student Affairs contacted the Business Office

to review [redacted]’s balance. In

order to resolve this dispute, the Business Office at [redacted]’s home campus

has agreed to adjust her balance in the interest of customer service. Following this adjustment, [redacted] will

have a zero balance.

Sincerely,

Review: Between January 2014 and June 2014 I took 2 classes at Strayer University ([redacted] and [redacted]). I have been trying to get correctly invoiced, so the invoices could be paid and I have contacted multiple parties at Strayer since January 2014, to include today (10/26/2014). I am currently in [redacted] at Strayer (class schedule is between October 2014 and December 2014) and I have been trying to get correctly invoiced, so the invoice could be paid since October 2014. I have also contacted multiple parties at Strayer since October 2014 to include today (10/26/2014). As of today 1 invoice has been paid for [redacted] but Strayer took that payment and allocated the payment for [redacted]. So Strayer stated that I still owe for [redacted] and [redacted] but the last couple of invoices were incorrect. I also need Strayer University to correct the allocation and show [redacted] as paid and then re-invoice for [redacted] and [redacted]. For the last 30 days Strayer has been been unresponsive. I need to correct this and want to have this resolved since I am financially responsible for my account but I cannot get Strayer to make these corrections.Desired Settlement: Between January 2014 and June 2014 I took 2 classes at Strayer University ([redacted] and [redacted]). Review: I register for an Online MBA program from Strayer University. When I travel overseas I could not contect to their system since their computer did not reconize some IP-address. I did not have other solution that drop the class. Not they want me to pay the complet amount of the course. I told them that it was not my fall since they are the ones who block my accessDesired Settlement: I understand I register for the class and I am responsible. However, I ask them let me take the class over or let me drop the class. I could not drop it before since I was not aware that their system will not allow me into the system.
