Great quality service, but it took visits to complete the project as they didn't have the correct parts

Had several small projects, *** ** came out to do an estimate, which was reasonable for the workWas hoping to get them scheduled for the next day, but after checking with company scheduler for availability, wouldn't be able to do thatHe asked if I was ready to give the go ahead and when I said yes, *** went ahead and completed the projects on the spotHe was very skilled, very knowledgeable, and explained clearly what he did and what I needed to do for followup on a leak repairAwesome service and wonderful representative for the company!

I had an extremely positive experience with Strong Built Plumbing & Air and specifically with *** ***, HVAC service Manger Mr *** was timely arriving at 12:at my daughter's house, when the time frame was between 12-p.m He was through and professional and provided us with three choices, two of which would address the problem with the air conditioning unit He provided us with three written estimates and even showed me hos to vent a portable air conditioner if we choose that as a temporary solution My wife and I were extremely pleased with Mr***'s attention to detail and his willingness to show us exactly waht was wrong with our daughter's unit

-House being painted week of Nov6-10-
HVAC system working fine No issues
-Stains on the outside wall, thinking possibly from AC
-Called Strongbuilt Plumbing and Air to investigate 11/2/
-Took the day off from work to meet with *** *** 11/3/
*** *** checked out system and stains I was told it was do to the pipe that went up to the roof He believed it had a crack in it and that if I replaced the system, they would replace that pipe up to the roof with a double walled pipe The staining would go away
-Install 11/4/Noticed the pipe was not replaced Spoke on the phone to *** who said he never said they would replace the pipe At one point, he tells me to have his guys pack up and leave, (after they have already removed my perfectly working system) I tell him no, they will finish the install
-Installers inform me that the system will not fit with the filter in the garage Speak to *** on the phone about the problem I ask him at that time if Strongbuilt offers a military discount He tells me I am already receiving discounts I ask to take advantage of the military discount He has to talk to *** Strongbuilt offers to place the filter inside the house, but the filter will have to be ordered
-A filter is taped into the bottom of the unit
-First attempt to install filter inside I am told 2X4's will have to be cut for it to fit
-Take the day off 11/10/to meet with *** *** regarding the system not fitting, having to move the filter from the garage to the inside of my house and the manner in which *** spoke to me Another attempt to place the filter inside the house, not going to work They measure and are going to special order the filter to fit inside
-Approximately first week of December someone calls me from Strongbuilt to finish up the financing I inform them the job is not complete He will look into it, calls me back stating company they special order from dropped the ball and that the filter is ordered now
-Approximately 12/13/Call *** as I have heard nothing about the filter He tells me it just came in and someone will be coming out to install it the next day
-12/14/Men come out, the filter does not fit
-12/15/ I call *** about the situation I mention the new contract amount with the military discount as per *** now being 7, He mentions giving years of Panda Care to make up for all the mishaps I ask if I can have the contract amount be an even 7, He states I can have one or the other
-Week of 12/17/ *** calls saying they will swap the coils out for smaller ones rather than keep trying to make a filter that will work We set day of 12/29/to do the job
-12/22/approximately I call *** *** and *** to give me a second opinion on my system
12/26/*** *** comes out and reports numerous issues He takes pictures, I agree to have *** come out replace the system Issues to include no permit was filed for the installation, outside fan unit propped up with cardboard, wires sitting on copper pipe that reaches degrees
Air conditioning installation issues prior
To *** install
The flue pipe was ran outside of code parametersIt was ran too close to the wall and the thermostat wire, as well as to close to a power outlet
The power outlet was not changed out from an SRU plug to a plug, and only had a amp fuse in itInspectors prefer a plug to be used now
No Freon locks were installed on the condensing unit
The 7/8's line-set had a slight kink in it where it was over bent at the outside by the condenser
No filter dryer was installed anywhere in the system on the Freon lines
Metal tape was used to seal around the coil to the drywall instead of metal angle frames
12/27/*** put in a new HVAC system and remove Strongbuilts system
12/28/*** *** is called by *** from *** who tells him his system has been replaced and that he can come and pick it up
12/29/ I call Strongbuilt to let them know the system is under a blue tarp along side the house and that they can pick it up at their convenience *** *** calls and leaves a voice mail saying "Hey ***, I understand you had our system pulled out, there are some things we need to go over though so if you would give me a call XXX-XXXX there are a few things that we need to go through to make this happen so if you would give me a call, I would defiantly appreciate it, up otherwise, I don't want to go further into this I would like to end this in a happy manner so if you can give me a call, I would like to talk to you." I text *** *** telling him the same thing He texts back "I won't pick it up unless we come to a mutual agreement of understanding You need to call me please"

Overcharging for repair
I owe what I owe and paid that was billed
However, charging me $93/lb for 410A Refrigerant (I believe it was in a pink canister) is a gougeThe canister lists on Amazon.com for $for pounds, as I found outAssume $for shipping: $ About $8/pound So how does this go from $8/pound to over times what it costs them? Yeah, that's a gouge
And the sealant / leak detector $ Really?
When you have a gun to your head, you will pay any price I learned the hard way
I have no issues (so far) with the quality of work performed, or with the technician, Jeremy, who was very kind and professional
What do I think is realistic for what they did? $
When you are on a fixed income, this stuff kills you The Rheem tonne unit I have is not old It was installed less than years ago
