Suburban Credit Corporation Reviews (72)

Review: This creditor is sending me third party billing statements. After multiple request to get the original invoice from the primary agency I have been challenge to speak to a live person.

Sometime in June 2013, I was rushed to the ER for health issues. A year has pass and I receive a phone call from the business requesting payment on a collection debt owed by a hospital visit. Unaware of any payment, I made a call to Suburban Credit Corporation and [redacted] hospital. During the call to Suburban Credit, I was requested to leave a voicemail which stated that I would need to leave a name, home phone, cell phone, and work phone number.

Later that day, I place a second call to [redacted] hospital. [redacted] hospital had no record of any outstanding bill during my visit.

Third call was made to my insurance company who indicated that no request for payment was made to [redacted].

Three days later I receive a call from Suburban Credit Corporation explaining on a bill from [redacted] hospital. I explain to the customer service rep if I may have an actual bill from the visit or something in writing from INOV. They informed me that a request must be done in writing. A fax number was provided.

After two request faxed to ###-###-#### in writing on 06/04/2014 & 06/17/2014, I still have not receive a response from this company. I requested, for an invoice but later receive a statement from Suburban Credit Corporation. The bill was very generic and I later requested for the actual bill from the doctor.

No response, after a month of waiting. Two voicemails were placed within the past two weeks. Third request in writing and third voicemail will be place at the end of this week. Please help…Desired Settlement: All I want is an actual invoice/bill from [redacted] so I know this bill is legitimate. Although the bill is only $35, I don’t have a problem paying it. The problem I have is a company I have no recorder of demanding on a payment. If this bill is legitimate, I don’t want this to be on credit report if I do owe someone money.

Response:

July 1, 2014Dear [redacted]:In response to this consumers complaint thank you for bringing this to our attention. The creditor involved is not [redacted] Health rather one of the hospital based physicians. Our records reflect that we did receive a phone call from [redacted] on May 13, 2014 and he wanted a letter which we mailed him on May 14, 2014. He then called us on June 4, 2014 and wanted a copy of the bill from the physician and he was told to submit a request in writing which we did receive on June , 2014. We then asked our client to supply us a copy of the original bill. This bill has been received and it will be mailed out to him tomorrow. It was surprising that he registered this complaint as we have been working with him. -If he has any questions he may call our Floor Manager, Jeff C[redacted] at ###-###-#### or me at [redacted]. We hope this resolves this consumers complaint.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: I received services from [redacted] hospital in [redacted] virginia in february of 2010, while I was in the [redacted] Army National Guard. Because I was at a military instilation at the time of injury my medical expensses were covered under [redacted]. Upon discharge from the service I encountered issues with the Army covering the bills as agreed. Senator [redacted] got involved with resulted in full payment by the Army to all collection agencies. In addition, a letter was sent out to each collection agency including Suburban Credit Corporation stating that this bill was paid in full by DOD, and that any further collection from me or posting to my credit report would be in violation of federal regulation. Any information in regards to the matter that had already been posted to the credit card bureau was to be removed. After two years of compliance with this letter Suburban credit Corporation posted a medical bill to my credit report adversely effecting my score to the point that I was unable to purchase a vehicle. I contacted them explaining the letter that they already had on file. I was hung up on 3 times. my phone calls were never returned, and the bill still remains on my credit report.Desired Settlement: I want the bill removed from all of my credit reports, and an letter from the company acknoloweding receipt of the letter. That way in the event this issue resurfices I will be able to have proof that they have received the letter which was sent in 2010

I make substantial payments toward this Collection Agency to pay off my medical bills and YET THEY ARE STILL DEMAND I CONSISTENTLY PAY HIGH AMOUNTS:)

Review: There are multiple issues. The company states that I have 30 days from the time I receive their letter to dispute; however, I never received any notification from this company. I don't even know the exact nature of the charges. The issue only appears on one credit report. When I tried to contact the company to resolve it (on 7/5/13) the representative [redacted] was highly argumentative and placed me on a long hold without warning (because you could tell he was about to say something he shouldn't). He also made indications that even if I were to pay this that it "might" come off. I refuse to even pay for something I know nothing about much less not have any guarantee it will be removed. I was never notified and it has been six years since this was placed on my credit report. I did have issues and never really pulled a credit report from Equifax until the past couple of months. I do not like how I was treated and I do not like that he wouldn't even compromise with me or work with me at all--I told him I had no clue about what this was and he wanted to argue with me and not work with me. They never notified me in writing and then the rep had the nerve to say it is not their fault if I never got the mail because they didn't get any return letters. I never got any at all. I am completely disputing the charges and the awful way that the rep treated me and the tried to lie when he came back that he was having phone issues, yeah right..he just didn't want to continue to yell at me because he was in the wrong and uncooperative.Desired Settlement: I want it to be removed from my credit report with Equilfax. An apology would also be nice but that isn't going to solve a thing--I want this removed because of failed notifications and the terrible way that the agent was treating the situation.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

My main reason for filing a complaint with the Revdex.com was due to how the representative was very rude and disrespectful. If the call was truly recorded then it can be heard how he raised his voice at me and made me feel threatened. He was never once attempting to help resolve the issue and the tone of voice and the words he chose made it seem like regardless of the actions I took the mark or credit issue on my credit report would not be removed. Further more, the representative gave me an amount that was double what is sitting on my credit report, thus, how am I to know what is correct? In addition, I was never at Venice Regional at the time that is listed. I didn't even live in Venice. I was not far away but the closest place to me was not Venice Hospital. I never received any letters and can not verify that any were sent out. If there is an proof then please let me have the confirmation number of the delivery so I can look into the situation. I have previously contacted the Hospital earlier this year and even explained that I do not know what these charges are for.

I had a medical bill sent to this office for collections. I had set up a payment arrangement with a man named Nick and made the initial payment using my debit card. That very night, my debit card number was compromised and used at a grocery store (Kroger's), which are apparently local in Virginia but not where I live (Maryland). I obviously had my card canceled and when it came time for my payment to be automatically charged by Suburban Credit the next month, I got a call from Suburban saying the payment was declined. I explained the situation and that I felt it odd that my card number was used at a grocery store local to the Virginia area this very same day that my initial payment was made to Suburban Credit Corporation- whose offices are in VA. The collections agent immediately got very defensive saying that my card could have been compromised at Target or Home Depot. I explained that I would no longer do business with them and rather will go through my doctor's office directly. I am still getting threatening phone calls from this same collections agent., Nick. I am feeling quite harassed and have never been spoken to as disrespectfully as Nick spoke to me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and Nick told me he couldn't transfer me, rather he called me back and put me through to a man named Jeff C[redacted]. I expressed my concern to Jeff, but he wasn't sympathetic in the least, nor did he ever offer me an apology. To be clear, I didn't accuse this company of taking my debit card number, but the string of events is very suspecting to anyone. I would hope Revdex.com could do something to help with this situation. I don't want someone else to experience what I did by having my banking information and identity breached. I fear my identity is not safe and fear further retaliation from Suburban credit.

Review: I would like this company to return my calls that I have repeatedly made. This company states that [redacted] Hospital is it's creditor that it is seeking payment of $36.65 from me. I contacted the hospital and no such bill exists. I want an explaination as to how Suburban credit Corporation has come to this balance and not the hospital that they say they represent. I have excellent credit and have always paid my bills. If there is no adequate explaination of the billing, then I want the Suburban Credit Corporation to stop sending me bills and clear the balance to zero that they say I owe.Desired Settlement: If there is no adequate explaination of the billing, then I want the Suburban Credit Corporation to stop sending me bills and clear the balance to zero that they say I owe. This credit company is calling my house and I want the phone calls to stop. I have tried to speak to a person when they call and it automatically is directed to a voice mail, of which no one returns my calls.

Our records reflect that we did receive a phone call from [redacted] on April 21, 2014 and did return the call and left a message for him and received po call back. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution has been minimally satisfied only after my husband and I have made several phone calls to this company.

Regards,

I have received a couple of bills from this organization that are fraudulent. They are medical related with a False provider. Calls to their number are never returned.
Please do not pay these people. It believe this is a scam and suggest that Revdex.com needs to investigate.
I will be sending the letters sent to me from Suburban to the Fairfax County Police Department Fraud Unit.

Review: I was contacted by Suburban Credit Corporation in regards to an outstanding debt. When I returned their phone call, I spoke to a representative who told me I owed over $7,100.00. I was asked when I could make a payment. I explained I am working on paying off a bill for an emergency surgery, she did not comprehend that, and asked again when I could make a payment. She told me I made only one payment, but I remember making at least 3 payments back between 2011 & 2012. I asked if she could send me an itemized bill so I know what I owe and who has sent my bills to a debt collector. She told me she could not do that. I explained that the last bill I got, which was in 2011, said I owed over $6,900.00; but I am now being asked for a larger amount, and I would like to know what I am paying before I make a payment to a business, because I do not just make a payment, especially when I don't receive any receipt of payment (which I never received from the previous payments). I asked to speak to the supervisor. The representative placed me on hold for 15 minutes, I was then transferred to a voice mail box that was full. When I called back, I got the same representative, and she told me the supervisor wasn't there at the time. I asked why she never got back on the phone to tell me, and she told me she didn't know, and she never apologized. She said it would be two hours before I would receive a phone call from the supervisor. I was not impressed with how I was treated and the lack of service I received.Desired Settlement: I would like for Suburban Credit Corporation to send me the itemized bill as I requested, so I can make payments as soon as I can. I would like to know the following in the itemized bill:

- Date of Service

- Business who filed with Suburban Credit Corp

- Amount Owed

Review: suburban credit collections continues to harass and pursue collections on an outstanding balance that has already been paid to provider.. Several phone calls were made. explained that the original address was incorrect that query was being sent to. Address was never corrected to allow correspondence to be sent directly to me. I have requested that data be updated to show that there is no delinquency of payment to provider. I continue to receive indirect failure to pay noticed.Desired Settlement: file complaint with Revdex.com and cease of correspondence with Suburban Credit Corp and clear any data that has been reported to credit rating companies.

August 18, 2014Dear [redacted]:In response to this consumers complaint thank you for bringing this to our attention. The account in question was placed here for collections on June 30, 2014. Our first collection notice was sent on July 1, 2014 and [redacted] responded to us on July 21, 2014 and promised to pay the account by July 25, 2014. We then called and left him a message on August 4, 2014 and sent a reminder letter to him. On August 5, 2014 our client advised us that this account was paid. On August 13, our records reflect that we spoke to [redacted] and confirmed with him that our records indicate that this bill is paid.If he has any further questions he may call our Floor Manager, Jeff C[redacted] at ###-###-#### or me at [redacted]. Review: When I check my credit report and noticed the debt that I had sometimes back in the 2007 which I was totally forgotten about because I was never received any notifications or a letter(s) form any body especially from the Suburban Credit Corporation in the amount of $252.00 dollars. When I called and trying to explain about not receiving any notifications, this rep was scolding at me and calling me a LIAR and blaming me distrusted him when he claimed that he did sent out the settlement. I made payment through a settlement before in the amount of $5000.00 dollars versus $ 252.00 which I can borrowing from friends or a family member is nothing. The Rep did not giving me a chance to explain rather yelling and scolding me in the phone when I requested for the superior and I was putting on hold just for their fun of view...Desired Settlement: I need to know the original debt from so I can make a payment directly to them, and they are owing me an apology. I must be treated respectively like they all wanted to be treated, because this is America, the most high educated country in the world.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I was being yelled over the phone.

Review: I am writing this letter in my behalf in regards to complaint about this collection agency, Suburban credit corporation. I had an emergency health issue on (or about ) September 2012 which I went to [redacted] Emergency room. During my treatment I was not being told or provided any information regarding a third party fee for the physicians. I did fill out an application for charity since I did not have any health insurance and due to my low income, I qualified for zero balance from my medical bill. Couple of months later, I had been getting phone calls and letters from these party collections in regards to a balance fee $517. I had called the collection agency and I reported to them that my bill was already paid by the charity application I had applied to the hospital and that it was approved. I still have the proof to show that I don't owe this third party agency and that I did not have any recollection of a third party being provided to me while getting treatment from the hospital. I even called the hospital billing services and they told me that I could provide this agency my bill that was zero balance as I had applied for charity. This third party agency still called me non-stop at 7039304388 and sent me bills. I do remember that I eventually did speak with their supervisor who said would look into this situation if I faxed her my approved billing from [redacted] Emergency and that if there was any signature pertaining to a third party fee towards my emergency services provided. I had faxed all these papers and I still have the same letters and fax numbers that were provided to me in Spring 2013. After that conversation and proof of eligibility letter (from the hospital billing services as it was approved by their charity office) that I faxed to this third party collection agency last year, I never heard back anything from them again. Now I have received three vague bills from this Suburban Credit Corporation asking for payment in 30 days stating "your creditor has referred this claim to us for collection. Their records show that the debt is due". I tried calling them and they are totally denying anything I am explaining to them and want me to make payment. I don't even have a job yet as I am a full time student at [redacted] univ. I am looking for some help and I know for sure and am certain that this collection agency is trying to take full advantage of me by asking me to make payment that has already resolved.Desired Settlement: All I am asking you to please help me because I know I don't have such power to withstand this fraudulent agency. I am really hoping that your agency Revdex.com can help me contact this collection agency for stopping to contact me and remove these fees that have already been approved by the hospital billing office and I am willing to provide a proof of their letter that I have zero balance as I had applied for their charity program that helped me with my hospital bill. Please help me with this matter and I am willing to provide any additional paperwork that is needed.

September 22, 2014Dear [redacted]:In response to this consumers complaint thank you for bringing this to our attention. These accounts were placed here for collection this year with the understanding that we are the second collection agency to be handling her account Perhaps the other agency that was contacting her may have been the first collection agency that was working this account. The phone number that is referencing is not one of our phone numbers. If [redacted] can supply this office with a copy of her charity approval for the facility bill, our client, who is a hospital based physician, will consider a reduction as long as the charity approval is for the date of Service in question which is September 21, 2012.If [redacted] is unable to pay her accounts in full a payment plan can be made by contacting me at ###-###-#### or Jeff C[redacted], Floor Manager, at ###-###-####.Sincerely,M. E. B, Administrator

Review: Back in May I received a phone call about a medical bill that has been sent to a creditor, I was aware I had an outstanding bill and they used the hospital's name so I didn't question it. I gave them my credit card number so I could set up monthly bills. I was given monthly statements, and receipts. They took out the monthly amount from my account under the name of the creditor, so I didn't question it. Not until it has been nearly two months and no statements, and nothing has been taken out. I looked them up and it seems they are a scam. I have my card statements with the amount they took out from May to September. A total of 152 dollars.Desired Settlement: I think they should have to repay what was taken.

Response:

November 14, 2014 Dear [redacted]:In response to this consumers complaint thank you for bringing her concerns to our attention. We do confirm receiving payments totaling $152.00 in this office as well as an additional payment of $100.00 that was reported as paid to our client’s office on this charge. Her starting balance was $542.00 and her current balance is now $290.00.The creditor involved in this case is an emergency room physician group. Our notice references this groups name followed by the symbol @and names the hospital. We are not collecting for the hospital. Our client reported the payment of $100.00 and our computer system credited this payment to her payment arrangement which is why no money was taken out for the last two months. We have suspended her payment arrangement and no further money will be automatically processed until she is satisfied with the authenticity of this account. If she has any questions, she may call me or our floor manager, Jeff C[redacted] at [redacted].Sincerely,M.E.B.Administrator
