I have called and several times and asked to be removed from O'Connor & Associates phone/email list I am not interested in their service nor have I retained their service at any time Today I received a letter from O'Connor & Associates Legal Collections Department threatening further action if I do not pay $for tax reductions on my property which were never wanted or authorized by me The collection letter lacks specific detail and is an attempt to extort money from me

They contacted me by phone to use them to protest my taxesThey sent me documents to sign and returnBefore signing up with them another company came along that had a better dealI signed and returned the document to the new companyBoth companies sent me a billOne for $and O'Connor & Associates $I paid the $For over a year O'Connor & Associates has hounded me for the $ I explained to them multiple times why I would not be paying them anything I let the other company know that O'Connor & Associates are claiming they worked this claimThe other company wrote this: "It is no secret that TAD has been struggling with their data ever since their software conversion O'connor "may" have worked this accountIf so, TAD should have disallowed my protest, settlement and waiverTAD did notWe absolutely worked this accountTherefore, our reduction is legitimate The stink of the situation is that O'connor could say the same thing We will t

Patrick O'Conner & Associates LP (PO) was hired in to represent me with the [redacted] in trying to reduce my property taxes They did so and I paid for the services Following the service provided I notified (PO) that I no longer wished their services I sent a letter to [redacted] notifying them of the same Yet, PO ignored my direction Their agreement is an unfair agreement - it states that if they do not agree to cease services for me, that they are entitled to continue to provide services to me and b [redacted] me I have notified them many times They contacted me in Oct and demanded money from me for services that they did not perform Some of the properties I no longer own They bullied me They demanded more money I refused Now they are threatening lawsuits against me and my wife My wife NEVER had anything to do with PO

Revdex.com spoke with the businessThis vehicle was sold "As-Is" the state inspection was up to dateThe business does not sell vehicles with a passing inspection sticker unless the vehicle would pass inspectionThe customer was unhappy with work they had to have done to the vehicle but took the vehicle to a different locationAfter finding this put the business offered the customer free services similar in the price amount spend for the work done

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowHaley stood by their decision to charge the part-only costIt should be noted that while the dealer states the parts cost is roughly $180.00, the same OEM part can be had from other locations, including GM Parts Club (OEM GM part # [redacted] ) for as low as $newAs such the dealer, while attempting to provide the appearance of some sort of good faith, is actually not doing so as they are grossly inflating the parts cost I never agreed or stated that anything I had done to my vehicle caused the issue as Haley statesThe original lock cylinder did have to be drilled out due to it seizing, which is a known issue relating to the recallHowever, it should be noted that even after the cylinder was drilled out, the vehicle would start, run, and drive as normally expected, though without the protection of a locking mechanismWhen the dealership applied the recall repair, the vehicle would not start, and the steering would not turnApplying logic one would see that if the car started and drove before the repair and did not do so after the repair, then the repair caused the resulting damageIf the dealer was concerned, as they stated, that the drilling of the cylinder would be an issue, then that should have been brought up and addressed before commencing the repair The implication by Haley is that their mechanics never make a mistake in any repairs, though when my vehicle was handed over, the bottom column of the steering housing was still not installed and I had to fix that myself Regards, [redacted]

I hired O'Connor & Associates to protest my Property Tax Valuation on my behalf I hired them last year to attend my ARB hearing, which they didn't resulting in my having a higher value than I should have last year They apologized and offered their services free of charge this year I was going to be out of town for the ARB hearing, so I went ahead and let them do it because they say they are the experts We had a very low comp on our street sell, and 15/homes on my street filed protest with [redacted] *** of those homes used O'Connor, me included Of the homes protesting, so far are settled All received significant value reductions except for me and one other homeowner My home is now valued higher than many of the similar neighboring homes that received significant reductions I called [redacted] to get their evidence packet that they gave to O'Connor and I asked for any documents O'Connor turned in as evidence at my ARB hearing I was told that O'Conn

We signed up to have O'Conner and Associates try to reduce our taxes in Since that time we have heard nothing from themSuddenly this year, we received a bill for services we did not ask forApparently unbeknown to us O'Connor and associates auto-renew their contract each year We have called to complain and were told that we just had to pay

On our behalf we asked them to represent us to protest our property tax evaluationThe protest was filed by Oconnor and I submitted information to Oconnor and associates to be able to file the protest and the last information I sent was on July 6thOur hearing was scheduled for July 16th, but Oconnor says they did not get the documents until July 19th which was after the hearing [redacted] has dismissed our protest due to Oconnor not showing up for the hearing We were never sent any information or account information about this even though it was requested or times This [redacted] cost us over a thousand dollars a year in taxes alone

I rated these [redacted] 1 star only because there were no negative stars available. We never contracted with them for services but they still managed to hijack our protest hearings in [redacted] AND [redacted] . When we attended our [redacted] hearing we saw that the property was listed under "O'Connor & Assoc". AND not only did they usurp our listing... they rescheduled and then didn't show up. It was a miracle that we were able to get a 3rd rescheduled hearing. Yet we still had no info about who they were and how they hijacked our hearings. The following month we contacted [redacted] ***. because we had been waiting for a hearing date and were told that the date had been scheduled and had already past, that these snakes hadn't shown up so we were outta luck ... no reschedule and when we demanded to see the documents that authorized these folks they could not be produced. Today, like a gift form heaven, we were contacted by email by a representative of the company stating that if we wanted them to represent us AGAIN in [redacted] we needed to provide the signed contract because they had no contract on file!! SO ... I [redacted] them and found they had been sued by the state in 2011 for doing this exact same thing in [redacted] and [redacted] Counties!! They settled, paid a big fine and restitution. But it must have been a successful formula because they keep using it ... they clearly haven't reformed at all. We will be contacting the agencies mentioned the [redacted] article.

O'Connor & Associates keeps sending me collection Letters for Services I did not ask forI have sent them back the same letter they sent with notes asking them to PLEASE stop sending me those letters and telling them that I did not ask for their servicesHowever, they never answer my notes/claims...instead they keep sending me the lettersI called them once and asked them to stop doing this; the lady appologized and said they will correct this issue...However, that have not done that and keep sending me collection lettersI need them to stop doing that, since I did not ask them for their business and I don't want to do business with them

This place is absolutely terribleWe used them for their Harvey Tax Relief Program and the service was absolutely terribleThey reviewed my tax information and told us we would be getting around $17K back and would be charged a fee of $and the process would take no longer than three weeksWe finally received our documents from them to submit to the [redacted] and our return dropped from $17K to $4,yet they still charged us a fee of $Out CPA could have done much better than these crooks and if we had known we would have had to wait three month we would have just used our own CPAWe lost everything in Hurricane Harvey and really needed the money they said we would be receiving by using them and doing a amended tax return

We used your service one yearWe paid for the serviceWe then notified your company that we no longer wanted you to perform serviceFor the past years your office has called and sent billsWe have repeatedly advised that we did not authorize you to perform serviceI have faxed, emailed, and calledYou continue to bill meYour latest email stated that you would waive the interestI refuse to pay for a service that I specifically requested that you not perform and a service that I have not authorized you to perform

Entered flood information several months after Harvey into their website for a possible flood insurance tax reliefNever actually committed to their servicesNow, they are trying to bill ~$for services that I never agreed to, much less actually had it rendered, If they persist, I will involve my own personal lawyer

O'Connor and Associates has appealed my taxes for the last 7-yearsThey do an okay job and have saved us moneyOur current property valuation is less than it would be if we'd never hired them. That said they do not know our area wellWe live in AustinIF I had access to the MLS and were not afraid of public speaking I think I could do a better job because I know the neighborhoods that comps are taken from wellIf I did the appeal myself I would save the fee they charge which is 50% of the tax savingsI have made the decision it is not worth my time so I hire them to do itThey save me 50%I do not understand people's complaintsThey must not have read the contractIt is very short and clearThe contract we signed states that it renews every year unless we notify them otherwiseI recollect that the contract changed about years ago to make that more obvious

Multiple complaintsFirst, any expectation they will return a call is misplacedFour times I was promised a return call and not once was that promise kept
Second, O'Connor and Associates expect payment for a benefit we did not receiveThis is a result of our property evaluation being capped (because of senior exemption) at the amount of evaluation at the time we bought the property (2012)This cap rendered the reduction they negotiated with *** *** of no value to us relative to county/school taxO'Connor and Associates insists on payment for this reduction even though it doesn't result in any savings for us
It does have value relative to MUD tax which is taxed separately and the property evaluation is not cappedIt is our opinion that our obligation to O'Connor and Associates is for the savings on the MUD tax but not for the county/school (and all other) taxes paid to county
Interestingly, O'Connor seems to agree in part with this argument because the invoice we last

Patrick O'Connor & Associates provides a property tax reduction service The form that one must complete to engage them is the "negative opt out" type meaning that if you do not take some sort of affirmative action you are appointing them as your agent in perpetuity or until you actively revoke their appointment as your agent I initially signed up with them in In I began getting invoices from them for a service I was unaware they had performed I tend not to pay those sort of invoices but when they continued I called the number on the invoice to request information I was told that they had sent information to me via email on 6/14/to *** That was my email address in but was not my email address in June of because I was no longer a *** customer I requested a description of the services that they provided be sent to me via email or letter and the only thing I have received since are more invoices and most recently a letter fr
