Revdex.comRE: ID# ***Too Whom It May Concern:Ironically, Ms*** called and spoke with MrB*** this Tuesday, March 13. MrB*** informed Ms*** that he had indeed sent the requested assignment
back to her mother on March 2. We have a policy at Kemp & Associates whereby, we return recently signed assignments if there is a major disagreement shortly after the execution of said contract. This situation fell under this category. All the above having been said, the case in question is unique. Most cases we work on involve missing or unknown heirs who are not aware of the decedent’s estate. Likewise, the estate attorney generally has no idea of the genealogy surrounding the case. In this matter we were informed that the estate attorney found a family bible which included names and addresses of a few potential heirs. Kemp & Associates has no desire to contact heirs who are aware of this estate. We are, however, in contact with the estate through our attorney and we have moved forward with a large number of heirs (specifically within the opposite moiety of Ms***). The following message was sent to Ms*** from this office on March 13, 2018.“Thank you for your telephone call this morningPer our conversation, please find attached a copy of the Assignment and POA that was sent to us by Ella ***The original was received by us on 02/27/18, and was returned to Ms*** via the US Postal Service on 03/02/as you requestedPer our previous discussion, the assignment Ms*** signed and returned to us along with your POA is considered null and voidAs I mentioned, no further action will be taken by Kemp and Associates on behalf of Ms*** with regard to the Estate of *** ***.”Please accept our apology for any misunderstanding this situation may have caused. We are no longer representing any interests of Ms***, although she may well benefit from the genealogical information we share with the estate. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions.Sincerely, Daniel *M***VP/COO

O'Connor & Associates keeps sending me collection Letters for Services I did not ask forI have sent them back the same letter they sent with notes asking them to PLEASE stop sending me those letters and telling them that I did not ask for their servicesHowever, they never answer my notes/claims...instead they keep sending me the lettersI called them once and asked them to stop doing this; the lady appologized and said they will correct this issue...However, that have not done that and keep sending me collection lettersI need them to stop doing that, since I did not ask them for their business and I don't want to do business with them

I have called and several times and asked to be removed from O'Connor & Associates phone/email list I am not interested in their service nor have I retained their service at any time
Today I received a letter from O'Connor & Associates Legal Collections Department threatening further action if I do not pay $for tax reductions on my property which were never wanted or authorized by me The collection letter lacks specific detail and is an attempt to extort money from me

We asked O'Conner & Asston to dispute our taxesThey are sending me invoices from 2008-We did not authorize any of theses itemsThere was no information from them that I had to cancel or they will continue charging meThis is an error on there partI do not feel that I should have to pay them

I rated these *** star only because there were no negative stars availableWe never contracted with them for services but they still managed to hijack our protest hearings in *** AND *** ***When we attended our *** hearing we saw that the property was listed under "O'Connor & Assoc"AND not only did they usurp our listingthey rescheduled and then didn't show up It was a miracle that we were able to get a 3rd rescheduled hearingYet we still had no info about who they were and how they hijacked our hearingsThe following month we contacted *** *** *** ***because we had been waiting for a hearing date and were told that the date had been scheduled and had already past, that these snakes hadn't shown up so we were outta luck no reschedule and when we demanded to see the documents that authorized these folks they could not be producedToday, like a gift form heaven, we were contacted by email by a representative of the company stating that if we wanted them to represent us AGAIN in *** we needed to provide the signed contract because they had no contract on file!! SO I *** them and found they had been sued by the state in for doing this exact same thing in *** and *** Counties!! They settled, paid a big fine and restitutionBut it must have been a successful formula because they keep using it they clearly haven't reformed at allWe will be contacting the agencies mentioned the *** *** article

They contacted me by phone to use them to protest my taxesThey sent me documents to sign and returnBefore signing up with them another company came along that had a better dealI signed and returned the document to the new companyBoth companies sent me a billOne for $and O'Connor & Associates $I paid the $For over a year O'Connor & Associates has hounded me for the $
I explained to them multiple times why I would not be paying them anything
I let the other company know that O'Connor & Associates are claiming they worked this claimThe other company wrote this:
"It is no secret that TAD has been struggling with their data ever since their software conversion
O'connor "may" have worked this accountIf so, TAD should have disallowed my protest, settlement and waiverTAD did notWe absolutely worked this accountTherefore, our reduction is legitimate
The stink of the situation is that O'connor could say the same thing
We will t

We signed up to have O'Conner and Associates try to reduce our taxes in Since that time we have heard nothing from themSuddenly this year, we received a bill for services we did not ask forApparently unbeknown to us O'Connor and associates auto-renew their contract each year
We have called to complain and were told that we just had to pay

I contacted O'connor & Associates to protest my property tax assessmentI sent all the paper work and agreed to pay back 40% of whatever gets reduced in the property taxI delegated and handed over all the paper workThe agreement is that lawyer/representative from O'connor & Associates will attend the scheduled protest with the officer and update me with the outcomeI handed over all the paper work and delegation to represent me on the scheduled protest appointment time (6/21/2017)No one from O'connor & Associates showed up and the county officer dismissed the protest and fixed the assessment price which is way higher than the market valueI called them several times after this and they told me that O'connor & Associates will investigate and get back to meI didn't hear anything from them from last and half monthsBecause of their bad planning I am impacted and have to pay higher property taxes for the rest of the life

O'Connor & Associates was engaged to protest my RE property taxes with Fort Bend County Appraisal District O'Connor & Associates did not utilize its best efforts to reduce the taxes Apparently, O'Connor & Associates utilizes automatic contracts, yet does not send correspondence to its account owners The Firm stated that they lowered my RE property taxes, but provided no documentation, and then charged interest for on a bill totaling $ I sent O'Connor & Associates a letter dated 4-22-notifying them to cancel my account Despite receiving notification, O'Connor & Associates failed to notify Fort Bend County Appraisal District that they were no longer representing me As a result, I cannot protest my 2017-property taxes The fact that the firm utilizes auto renew contracts, then provides no notifications, other than marketing materials, and then sends account owners a bill for work that they did not do is unacceptable

We asked O'Conner & Asston to dispute our taxesThey are sending me invoices from 2008-We did not authorize any of theses itemsThere was no information from them that I had to cancel or they will continue charging meThis is an error on there partI do not feel that I should have to pay them

Patrick O'Connor & Associates provides a property tax reduction service The form that one must complete to engage them is the "negative opt out" type meaning that if you do not take some sort of affirmative action you are appointing them as your agent in perpetuity or until you actively revoke their appointment as your agent I initially signed up with them in In I began getting invoices from them for a service I was unaware they had performed I tend not to pay those sort of invoices but when they continued I called the number on the invoice to request information I was told that they had sent information to me via email on 6/14/to *** That was my email address in but was not my email address in June of because I was no longer a *** customer I requested a description of the services that they provided be sent to me via email or letter and the only thing I have received since are more invoices and most recently a letter fr

You need to avoid these people like the plague They have you fill out a multi page questionaireThen you never hear from themThey send you a bill for $and say they saved you approximately $They do not provide any evidence that they presented your case or attended the tax hearingThey don't stop trying to collect their $and they never send any evidence that they lifted a finger on your behalfRight now it is a standoffI'm not paying them for services not provided and their debt collector can go pound sand because I will go court firstSTAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE

Do not use this company for your tax protest! I was stood up at my tax hearing after I confirmed with O'Connor that they had everything they needed and they verified the time of my hearing and the name of my representative I was alone and grateful that I am smart enough to have been somewhat prepared They committed fraud and violated deceptive trade laws by not showing up

This place is absolutely terribleWe used them for their Harvey Tax Relief Program and the service was absolutely terribleThey reviewed my tax information and told us we would be getting around $17K back and would be charged a fee of $and the process would take no longer than three weeksWe finally received our documents from them to submit to the *** and our return dropped from $17K to $4,yet they still charged us a fee of $Out CPA could have done much better than these crooks and if we had known we would have had to wait three month we would have just used our own CPAWe lost everything in Hurricane Harvey and really needed the money they said we would be receiving by using them and doing a amended tax return

This cokeeps billing me for a service I did not request This is a scam they said I did not call to stop I called and have written them letters The city of Fort Worth said the company's so called service was a scam as well

Entered flood information several months after Harvey into their website for a possible flood insurance tax reliefNever actually committed to their servicesNow, they are trying to bill ~$for services that I never agreed to, much less actually had it rendered, If they persist, I will involve my own personal lawyer

Multiple complaintsFirst, any expectation they will return a call is misplacedFour times I was promised a return call and not once was that promise kept
Second, O'Connor and Associates expect payment for a benefit we did not receiveThis is a result of our property evaluation being capped (because of senior exemption) at the amount of evaluation at the time we bought the property (2012)This cap rendered the reduction they negotiated with *** *** of no value to us relative to county/school taxO'Connor and Associates insists on payment for this reduction even though it doesn't result in any savings for us
It does have value relative to MUD tax which is taxed separately and the property evaluation is not cappedIt is our opinion that our obligation to O'Connor and Associates is for the savings on the MUD tax but not for the county/school (and all other) taxes paid to county
Interestingly, O'Connor seems to agree in part with this argument because the invoice we last

CALLED TO Get a quote and because I didn't use Chuck right then and there he wouldn't do the service for meTerribly rude and unprofessional place

In previous years I used this service to negotiate with the local *** *** *** In March I notified *** that I was selling my condo, and unless they could pro-rate the year, I did not want their service this yearIn May I sold my condo*** negotiated with the *** *** *** in late June , after I sold the condoThey now are sending me bills for the serviceI have called *** a total of timesThe first times they said they would investigate and get back to meI provided them the name of the person I communicated with in MarchThe next times they told me that yes, they could see that the service was done AFTER I sold the condo, so they would cancel the billThey are still sending me bills, now with interest included

I hired O'Connor & Associates to protest my Property Tax Valuation on my behalf I hired them last year to attend my ARB hearing, which they didn't resulting in my having a higher value than I should have last year They apologized and offered their services free of charge this year I was going to be out of town for the ARB hearing, so I went ahead and let them do it because they say they are the experts
We had a very low comp on our street sell, and 15/homes on my street filed protest with *** *** of those homes used O'Connor, me included Of the homes protesting, so far are settled All received significant value reductions except for me and one other homeowner My home is now valued higher than many of the similar neighboring homes that received significant reductions
I called *** *** to get their evidence packet that they gave to O'Connor and I asked for any documents O'Connor turned in as evidence at my ARB hearing I was told that O'Conn
